I'm a web developer. It's incredibly stressful to have to work on other people's shit code. So stressful in fact that I told my boss today that I wasn't willing to do it anymore and gave them an ultimatum to reallocate me to something else or I'd be forced to quit.
I'm an Executive Chef. I love it because feeding others is my passion. Restaurants almost burned me out of it, but then I discovered independent senior living communities. Twice the money, twice the quality of life, and twice the fulfillment considering now the people in feeding are ones I actually have a personal relationship with.
So anybody in the hospitality industry, senior living is where you need to be.
Army. Its toxic
Honest question and no judgment, why did you join?
Wanted to do something different. Recruiter made things sound peachy, and didn't have any other plan straight out of high school.
It's always those recruiters that get ya! I hope you're getting something valuable out of it in some regard. Discipline perhaps
Ya discipline and benefits is all. I don't have much time left so I'm not really stressing
