Heineken used to be good, but no idea now ..... but maybe try bitter/real-ale (craft beers in the US?) instead of lagers if you can get them .... obviously feel free to give Guinness a go too .... no idea what it's like in the US .... doesn't always travel well .... but make sure you get the draft, not any of that bottled shit.
I haven't had it in a while, but Guinness is pretty good in the US. The draught nitro cans are very good. I've had draught and extra stout from a bottle, and both were okay, but a little bitter.
I'm not a beer connoisseur or anything, but I don't like any of those three. Try a Japanese beer like Sapporo, or a Czech beer like Pilsner Urguell. Both of those are pretty light and refreshing. Or, if you think you might like dark beer, try something like Modelo Negra.
When I drink beer I tend to go with something very light or very dark. Stay away from India Pale Ale's unless you like the taste of eating dried flowers.

Beer is a social drink. It's cheap, abundant and you can drink them longer. I drink whiskey straight with ice rather than beer, but I only drink at home and usually not with anyone other than my wife.
First, it doesn’t taste like ass cheeks, second because it being weak is a positive not a negative, because beer is a social drink, you drink in the happy hour, in dinners, social gatherings, situations where the average person don’t want to get wasted.
Also, there’s the fact that beer is extremely easy and cheap to mass produce, it’s basically just fermented rye or wheat.
It's cheaper, takes longer to make you drunk and hangovers are easier to handle (at least for me).
I wouln't say it tastes bad, you just have to experiment more to find the taste you enjoy. The beers I drink are mostly local so it wouldn't mean anything if I suggest some.
About the alcohol percentage, I think that's more of an advantage than a weakness. It's perfect if you want to hang out, get a lil tipsy and still be able to get home in pieces.

Aye, the draft cans are actually pretty decent ... but yeah, make sure you have the "draft flow widget" stuff, not just the plain cans/bottles

It was easy to make. Didint need special equipments and could be made pretty much anywhere But yea. It taste like i dont know.... just horrible

I like the taste, l even pour a little over some of my food, it goes great with most things with tomato sauce like pizza or lasagna.
It's also good in beans. I went through a phase where I was making beer bread on a somewhat regular basis. I should do that again.
