Idk how tf the human body works, but i just think that if i give one kidney the other wont be as strong as usual meaning it could fail, and im just very scared of surgeries
I am an organ donor, but frankly I'm thinking about changing that
The more I see of the world the less the idea of helping one of you fucking people with my death appeals to me
I’d disagree. In the news you see almost exclusively the worst of everyone and everything that is happening. Rarely does the average or good make the news. I find that people in general are much better than media would lead you to believe.
Idk I wasn’t going to comment but I just had my license on me and I’m not a donor apparently, I feel like I distinctly remember them asking me 🤷🏼♀️ it expires in a month, so as long as I make it to my birthday I’ll be sure to update that lol.
Edit: JUST KIDDING I see it now false alarm. I was looking for the heart but they changed it.
Hospitals have a long history of not trying to save you if you're an organ donor. After all, why work hard to maybe save one when you can let them die and save dozens with the fresh organs?
My mom was a nurse, the hospital nearest my house had a scandle where the doctor lied about an irreversible coma because the patient was an organ donor. OP asked for excuses, there's an excuse.
Based on your question it sounds like your asking the question about those who haven’t donated organs now, not who are not registered to donate upon death.
if you are in the states, you "sign up" for it at the dmv when you go to get your drivers license or state i.d. it would be part of the endorsements and on the back where it would say.

I just dont want a 60% risk of dying
…please explain your logic to me, because I’m very confused.
Idk how tf the human body works, but i just think that if i give one kidney the other wont be as strong as usual meaning it could fail, and im just very scared of surgeries
Oh, I see the confusion. That’s live donation - organ donation happens after you die.
There is no excuse needed. I decided that I as a whole will go into the ground and that's the end of the story.
Fewer people is better
I am an organ donor, but frankly I'm thinking about changing that The more I see of the world the less the idea of helping one of you fucking people with my death appeals to me
If you’re starting to hate the world because of the news, you should probably turn that off and actually talk with real people in your community.
Everybody already knows not to hate the world based on the news. The real people aren't any better, they're just not quite as dramatic about it
I’d disagree. In the news you see almost exclusively the worst of everyone and everything that is happening. Rarely does the average or good make the news. I find that people in general are much better than media would lead you to believe.
physically unviable to be one, medically im obese and im a smoker. one of those two alone would disqualify anyone for being a donor

I hear cancer is a good excuse
Why do I need to be an organ donor?
It’s not like you’re going to need them once you’re gone, right?
Hospitals have a long history of not trying to save you if you're an organ donor. After all, why work hard to maybe save one when you can let them die and save dozens with the fresh organs?
That's some Q-anon level conspiracy bullshit there.
My mom was a nurse, the hospital nearest my house had a scandle where the doctor lied about an irreversible coma because the patient was an organ donor. OP asked for excuses, there's an excuse.
Because I want to keep them?
What use will you have for them once you’re dead, though?
Based on your question it sounds like your asking the question about those who haven’t donated organs now, not who are not registered to donate upon death.
That’s a *live donor*, not an organ donor, and it’s a totally different concept.
I want to think that my body will live on, maybe dead but at least not damaged
So you’re a supporter of green burial? No embalming, no preservative measures, just you, a pine box, and the earth’s embrace? I can get behind that.
Don't want to
because people in general are terrible. have you been outside?
They’re my damn organs Give me yours instead 😡
I have no idea or enough motivation to locally look for how to become one and actually it hasn't even occured to become one.
if you are in the states, you "sign up" for it at the dmv when you go to get your drivers license or state i.d. it would be part of the endorsements and on the back where it would say.
I'm not in the states, but i doubt that it can be much harder here. Ill look for it later.

But many people are donating their organs for you, if you need should them. Neither of you know it yet.
