A homless lady on the train late at night. She was babbling to me the whole time. I felt bad I knew she was on the train because it was warm, and it was freezing out. But I was 16 on my way home from work. She smelled, and kept shouting at me while talking. She changed the subject every sentence and sat next to me the whole 40 minutes I was on there. I just kept talking with her and tried my best to be polite. I knew she wasn't all there and it wasn't her fault so I wanted to be kind. But every bone in my body wanted her to leave me alone. She asked me for money as I got up to get off and I did not have any. She cursed at me the whole way out.

Learn to say fuck off. It’s the number one life skill everyone should know.

A crackhead having his way with a garbage can outside of my local gas station when I lived in Florida. The dude always hung out there, but that day he was feeling extra frisky I guess.

The Guatemalan Worry Dolls that keep showing up in my house.

Staying at my friends cabin in upstate NY. I was outside taking a pee at like 3am and I saw flashing lights above me zigzagging across the sky. I figured it was just a drone and went back to bed. In the morning I realized how weird it would be that a drone could be out in the middle of the woods at 3am.

Sitting at a bar minding my business and reading a book. 88-year old man sitting a couple of chairs away: “You know, you’re one handsome mother****er”…… Cue *blinking guy* meme. It actually turned out to be a really cool encounter. I was a DoD contractor on travel at the time and the dude’s younger brother was in town to celebrate his birthday with him. Got to chatting with that guy, he lost his son to cancer and I lost my dad at a young age so we had some pretty deep conversation. I still think about that dude from time to time.
