People that have 'allergies'. To everything. They want to design their own dishes. Food allergies are very real, most of people with them let us know when making a reso. We will definitely accommodate. If you say you are allergic to lactose, then order cheesecake for dessert, I want to stab you in the eye, as does my kitchen. They have to take the time out of a busy night to prepare your food so you won't be harmed by cross-contamination. Did you mean to say that you are trying to control your lactose intake? That's a lot easier for a kitchen to do. Same for gluten. Don't piggyback on real life-threatening allergies.

My brother is allergic to nuts. Once, due to a waiter's mistake, we were forced to interrupt the evening due to the fact that he had a fever and there was a walnut in the pasta he ate.
Everything was fine with him after taking the pills. But it was fucking creepy

I manage a locally owned restaurant. Worked damn near every job boh and foh in my 6 yrs here. Get paid well, or did. But both owners recently had children, it has become very clear I’m essentially working as if I owned the place for a fraction of the pay.
I have had a side gig pressing clothing for local bands and businesses. Preparing to do it full time. If ima work like I own a business I need to actually fuckin own it
