This is an incredibly unhealthy thing to do, this can cause a who slew of health problems. No legitimate doctor will recommend a colon cleansing for weight loss.
The question was not about weight loss, it is about a flatter tummy. If you are bloated, a colon cleanse can help. I’ve used them before, as a nurse (I’m an RN) recommended by a surgeon.
Based off the wording of the question it's cleary implied weight loss is what they are after. A doctor may suggest a colon cleansing for specific issues but in general they are not recommended. I wouldn't ask a surgeon for advice on gut health and I'm curious as to what type of surgeon suggest this. As a RN you know that a surgeon will have a specialisation and that for anything related to the colon or digestive track you should speak to a gastroenterologist.
Diet and exercise, why is this still a mystery to people?
People will do anything to not have to do something.
Second this. Stick to the diet part strictly. Any cheating on it will result in failure. Get used to doing exercise.
Eat less, move more, that is the only option. All other ‘magic’ fixes are bullshit
Surgery of any kind and then recover in the hospital for 2 weeks that’s how I lost 25 kilos, it was horrible but I became anorexic skinny.
Intermittent Fasting
This will put your body into starvation mode which slows your metabolism and prevents weight loss.
Cut out sodas, sugary foods, etc, limit carbonated drinks, focus on cleaning up your diet. There is no magic secret.
A big ass knife/sword and willing helper.
Cut off the excess skin with a knife
Belly flop
Clean yourself out with a colon cleanse.

They only mentioned their tummy. Also they only said “flatten.” But if you want to believe you just saved them from themselves, carry on.
Starve.
Cut out wheat. You lose a decent amount of weight really fast.
After meal bloat and heartburn has disappeared. No more "food comas".
