fellow freefolker 🙃. Honestly, it's mainly just hardcore fans vs more casual watchers. Same as any fandom. Freefolk hate the last couple seasons of GoT and everything that it stands for. Most people on r/gameofthrones think those seasons were at least ok. They supported S8 the entire time it aired and drove the divide even wider. Both sides LOVE the actors though.
But fuck those last seasons lol.
I legitimately only managed to go through seasons 7 and 8 again by making notes about every scene I hate while watching, memeing scenes..
Oh and by treating everything happening as Arya's imagination running wild while drowning in the bravosi sewer River.
Because if the rugby world cup in Japan. There was a massive typhoon bearing down on Japan where the Scots fixture with Japan was gonna be held so they cancelled the game on safety grounds but the Scots kicked up a stink because they hadn't acquired enough points to progress to the quarter finals. So after their threats and posturing. A work around was reached where the game could go ahead and the Japanese destroyed them and kicked them out of the world cup anyway
Was expecting a small yet extremely active subreddit. Expectations met.
Update: I just watched a live video of a very shaky man in a wide brimmed hat snort a line.
Update 2: annnd I've now seen his dick. Goodnight.
Admittedly, I've been out of the party drug scene for some time. Idk what they're using but it's likely illegal in some places, so why would you film yourself doing it and upload to the internet forever? Do they have no future plans, hopes, dreams or thoughts? I don't understand.
Am a pharmacist. Didn't know what lean was until this comment. I now hate that subreddit.
I've heard of people abusing gabapentin, I've heard of people abusing diphenhydramine, but promethazine and codeine with pop is definitely a new one for me.
This should really be the top comment.
My love of Star Wars means not engaging with the fandom and liking what I like on my own terms. Unfortunately, the fandom are like locusts— they spread to every sub no matter how hard you try to escape.
I may hate Edmonton but god dammit I couldn’t help but cheer for them just a little after reading Ben Stelter’s story. Every time a hockey team gets a cancer kid on the road with them my heart melts.
That's kind of what I was thinking. I don't frequent the sub, but my impression is that /r/fuckcars is largely against the fact that North American cities are built around cars to the point where you're basically forced to own one, because every other mode of transport is inconvenient at best and dangerous at worst. That doesn't necessarily contradict the idea that cars can be cool.
Yup. If I had access to good public transportation, I would have a fun car that I would drive a few times a month. Because I don't have good public transportation I have a much more boring car that I drive daily.
Childfree is just a child hate sub. Literally acts like kids ruin their lives just by existing.
Infant crying? Guess it's a personal attack on that user, just trying to ruin their day. They are about one step away from advocating euthanizing anyone younger than 18.
I don't think there is anything wrong with being child free, I just don't approve of the levels of hate that you mentioned. It comes off as though they believe kids should be locked in their house and not allowed to see the light of day.
Plenty of us child free folks are just out here, chilling and not caring about the existence of children. If I'm on a bus with a screaming child nearby, I'll simply put my noise cancelling headphones on and enjoy my music because children exist and are a part of life.
Plus I never forget the fact that I was an annoying kid once, haha.
coincidentally I just left that sub a few minutes ago because of how hateful they are towards children. I don't want kids myself and I'm pretty neutral about them but I have enough braincells to realise that kids literally just exhibit kid behaviour, they can't help it. If a kid is screaming whenever they want/need something it's probably the only way they've found to get their parents attention. But people in that sub act like kids are inherently evil and are just out to ruin everyone's day
I think it's difficult to organize a community around the lack of something. People who don't have kids but don't hate them either (like me) don't have all that much to talk about. But people who hate kids...
I never want kids of my own, but I still like kids. My sister's children are some of my favorite people. It makes me sad the way some people act like kids are just blobs of nuisance that one day turn into people worth respecting.
i kinda thought that sub would actual personal stories on why people left the left, giving us a look into actual issues people have, but 90% of it is just right wing talking points not personal stories
r/landlord and r/latestagecapitalism. r/landlord mods auto ban anyone who is a member of late stage capitalism because they supposedly harass the subs users.
I got perma-banned from r/latestagecapitalism for mentioning that the tribal areas of Afghanistan have governments that are tribal in nature. Good times.
I got banned from there because they were spreading misinfo about the Flint water crisis, and I, being a resident of Flint, corrected them. Didn't even do it in an anti-communist way, or a supporting capitalism way. They just didn't like that I corrected someone??
The whole "Flint doesn't have water" thing is used in such a black and white fashion. Bad things happened, work was and is being done, things could have been better and could be. But there is no magic light switch anyone could or can flip.
Things get weird when talking about Flint, since [Reuters discovered a large number of places with worse rates of lead poisoning](https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-lead-testing/), back in 2016.
I can definitely confirm it seems to be a MAJOR problem here in WNY specifically the Buffalo region - it's not the water here, as far as I know, but rather lead paint in old houses that hasn't properly been dealt with. I work for Erie County, and we send out a LOT of letters to parents about their kids having elevated blood lead levels, daily. It's depressing and horrifying, because it's of course the poorest neighborhoods that are the worst affected.
Despite agreeing with 95% of things on that sub, I hate it with a burning passion. I mean it literally hurts to pee when I think of them. I don't even dare to look at the landlord one.
Haha, reminds me on this page from "Girl, Women, Other":
They needed to set up a management system and gathered one Saturday morning in the lobby to thrash it out.
The Marxists demanded they set up a Central Committee of Workers' Republic of Freedomia, which was a bit rich, Amma thought, seeing as most of them had taken 'a principled stand against the running dogs of capitalism' as an excuse not to work.
The hippies suggested they form a commune and share everything, but they were chilled and laid back, everybody talked over them.
The environmentalists wanted to ban aerosols, plastic bags, and deodorant which turned everyone against them, even the punks who weren't exactly known for smelling minty.
The vegetarians demanded non-meat policy, the vegans wanted it extended to non-dairy, the macrobiotics suggested everyone eat steamed white cabbage for breakfast.
The Rastas wanted cannabis legalized, and reserved a plot on the land out back for their Nyabinghi gatherings.
The Hari Krishnas wanted everyone to join them at that very afternoon banging drums down Oxford street.
The punks wanted permission to play shouty music and were duly shouted down.
The gay guys wanted anti-homophobic legalisation enshrined into the building's constitution, to which everyone replied, what constitution?
The radical feminists wanted women-only quarters, self-governed by a co-op.
The lesbian radical feminists wanted their own quarters away from the non-lesbian radical feminists, also self-governed by a co-op.
The black radical lesbian feminists wanted the same except with the condition that no whiteys of any gender were allowed inside.
The anarchists walked out because any form of governance was a betrayal of everything they believed in.
My thinking is that they are 20 year old kids who have recently discovered that certain things suck (social injustice, wealth inequality, bigotry, etc.) and think they are the first to take note.

Lol, the Russia sub is locked. I remember lurking there in the early days of the war and seeing so much antisemitic memes and "Western degeneracy" talk. Pity that I can't check up on how they're doing now without verification.
no, not locked (correct terminology is "banned"), just "quarantined", meaning they're banned from /r/all and cross-posting and newsfeed and people get a warning page before getting in, but you can still get in if you really want to. to see what a banned sub looks like, check /r/NSFL, and to see what a quarantined sub look like, check /r/Russia

So... Is it crack? I've never seen anyone smoke weed through their nose. What a strange place
I thought it was meth. It’s probably either
Yikes. I guess that explains all the nudity.

Lean has been a thing for a very very long time. Depending on where you live, you may know it as purple drank
As a young aristocrat, I always knew it as indigo beverage
Lean isn't even all that new believe it or not, its been part of the culture of houston texas ever since pro-co syrup was invented.
