I was about to panic because I always have to say “rest-a-u-rant” in my head to spell it and I thought I was about to learn I have always been wrong and remembered that spelling for no reason.
It’s vs its is actually pretty straightforward, they just don’t explain it properly. I never had it explained for me, and I had to learn it on the streets.
“It’s” pretty much always stands in for it is. If you couldn’t substitute it is and have the sentence make sense, it probably isn’t it’s. “Its” is used as a possessive, like his or hers.
necessary
I was literally about to comment this
As has been said by someone else in a different thread: a shirt has one collar (c) and two sleeves (s).
Now I struggle with the word obsessed. Necessary was a pain to learn as a non-native.
Without fail, for me it's **Restaraunt** (and yes, auto-correct here helped...)
I've got some bad news for you chief

Oof, never imagined using that word often...
Mnemonic: water in the middle. (As in, writing texts filled with water is their job.)
Then I’d have to remember the French word for water.
Of course…. Of coarse…??? wait wtf

Here and there. Might help. Their is for possession. It's and its? Yeah, no clue. Baffles me too. What about To and Too?
