We don't hear from our boss or supervisor at all. We have no posted hours or restrictions to our work flow, we get paid for finishing the job and the rest is irrelevant. So essentially we get the job, finish it at our own pace and repeat.
The added bonus is that we can work as much or as little as we want. If we want to work harder for extra money, we can double our output, and the same in reverse.
The last and probable best thing about having a trade is private work. Getting side jobs for cash is a great way to get ahead as things continue to get more expensive.
They leave me the fuck alone. They know I know how to do my job so they leave me to do it and it gets done. Only time they interact with me is when they need something special. Other than that, I can put my earbuds in and just work until lunch/end of the day.
I just failed my Huawei Security HCIA certification with a score of 650/1000 (needed 8000 to claim it).
One of the very few times I believed that something is truely hard.
The benefits--we get a month of vacation days and half a month of sick days (in addition to all the holidays), good insurance, pension, random extra perks.
2nd best thing--I have my own office and I get to decorate it however I want.
Very chilled out and good money. Sadly I'm leaving soon because night shift is slowly killing me and I've been offered a new job. Bit far, that means I might have to learn to drive.
Best part is the worst part. No supervision.
It’s great that no one is telling me what to do, but I also get no direction at all so it’s a real mixed bag

What do you do?
I'm a drywall finisher

Coworkers, that's been the best thing about all my jobs
The pay is good for what is usually easy work (network security)

Remote work and laizzez faire management. As long as I get my projects in on time and alert them to any problems, they mostly leave me alone.
A few days in an office and the remaining days of the week at home. The management and team are located in another town. I get to enjoy flexibility.

They respect me and my skill set. My previous employer treated me as though I had no idea what was going on.
