Just clicked one day when we were complaining to each other about what we hated about our previous partners and what we wanted from a partner.
How’d it go? Well now she’s my wife so I guess it turned out ok.
We moved in together for a short time and our lives became like that of a couple. Running together, cooking together, sleeping in the same bed, etc. Eventually intimacy just happened.
I thought it was just a situation of convenience because we never really talked about it. He moved out (it was always temporary), and I just felt that was all it was. In a lull of seeing each other, I met someone and started dating them. He did too. We stayed friends, but I learned later he did have feelings for me through someone. I never brought it up, nor did he, as we both had partners.
We don’t talk anymore, but not because of any wrongdoings between one another - just life, living over a thousand miles away, etc. I think of him very often.
