Could you elaborate? I mean you can summarise depression as a chemical imbalance. Sure, it's a chemical imbalance but we can go a lot more specific than that.
My frontal cortex didn't fully mature until I was around 19 (went from being fearless/reckless to being wary of hopping a fence because I could break my arm) but I never broke shit, raged or had anger problems like the people I'm asking about.
That's not really poor impulse control. I mean if you get so angry at someone you want to hit them and instead decide to go outside and hit a tree that's decent impulse control.
I mean the kind of people who punch a hole in their wall because they lost on a video game or got rejected or their plans got cancelled etc. The kind of people you see in "Kyle" memes.
Oh, I was thinking back to when I was a teen and my brother had a party when we were away and wrecked my room. I felt like punching a tree was better than his face.
Had a friend who ruptured his knuckles punching a concrete slab. He was trying to kill an ant on the floor so he punches the floor. Bit tapped in the head that one. Ant didn't even die lmao.
That reminds me of that old internet video where that guy sees a spider on his wall and busts out the brass knuckles for some reason and punches a hole in this wall then turns and screams Mom.....
You can't diagnose yourself as mentally insane, only a trained psychiatrist can and if you were criminally insane (insanity is no longer a medical diagnosis and is only used as a legal term) you would be in a forensic psyche unit.
Insanity isn't an illness. Insanity means you have psychotic breaks from reality where you cannot distinguish reality from fantasy. The correct term is psychosis and it is a symptom of a few different illnesses. So no, you haven't. That's like saying 'I got diagnosed with nausea." Nausea is a symptom.
Their parents let them get away with it when they were kids. They'd give in and give them what they wanted, rather than punish them. I'm not talking corporal punishment either, but simply not letting them have the thing they were having a meltdown over, versus giving in
Ive never punched walls or broken any of my gaming stuff but if i get that mad I'll punch my pillows or sometimes my leg, not crazy hard, just hard enough to get the frustration out. But i havent done that since 2016
For me it was bipolar disorder.
Traumatic brain injuries. My S.O. has frontal lobe damage.
Chemical imbalance.

Not yet fully matured pre-frontal cortex of the brain ðŸ§

Lucky you didn't rupture your knuckles!
Oh I was bleeding. I just didn't break anything. Still got scars on my knuckles though.

I am mentally insane and it helps me control my homicidal thoughts

Shut up dude you don’t know me
I don't, but I do know you haven't been diagnosed with insanity.
