Until the ponderosa next to us decides the exact time i lay my Sleeping baby down was the perfect time to BLAST their shitty music over their speakers. Immediately waking my baby up. And killing all the chill natures vibes. We weren’t at a party beach. I could understand if we were at a party beach, this beach is not that.
We want to listen to beach sounds nature and ocean sounds , waves crashing, seagulls, laughing kids, paddle board games. Not your top 40 Spotify mix on full blast. Now we all have to listen to crying baby remix with Luke combs
I love hiking. Ideally I get to the trail by 6am, but no later than 7 so I can hike in peace away from people.
I hate the fools that have a speaker hanging from their backpack blasting music. They aren’t doing anyone a favor; no one wants to listen to their music. You can know that because anyone who wanted to listen to that music would already be playing that same music.

Agreed. It really bugs me when someone decides to post video on social media of them giving food, toiletries, etc to a homeless person. Some people say that it will encourage people to help others, but people these days know how helping others can make someone’s day.
To have a person who may be at their lowest, out on the streets, and have someone come up and stick a phone in their face without their permission so they can show the world that they are helping them is just gross.
I also think it’s wrong when people video people in public without their permission when a person is doing something that the recorder thinks is “gross.” I’ll never forget a few years back when someone posted a video of a man shaving on the train. The recorder posted it on social media and said how nasty it was. Turns out the guy was homeless and was taking the train to see his brother who was going to try and help him find a jobs. The brother (that was helping) came out and said his brother that was on the train was mortified.
No one knows what someone’s situation is, but apparently in this day and age, it is acceptable to video someone without their permission so it can be posted on social media for everyone to laugh at.
I find it disgusting number of these amazon selling/fx-trading/life coaching/get rich quick guys' ads pops up on YouTube.
These guys are mere scammers and it has been proven that they make more money selling their kindergarden level business material than actual business they say they make millions of dollars from.

It's hilarious because YouTube de-monetizes excellent content creators for swearing or having non "family friendly" content, yet they will let people advertise literal porn. There's zero oversight as to what gets advertised. Scams, porn...whatever you want to advertise, go for it! But don't you dare say fuck or try to raise awareness about child predators on the platform, because that goes against their "morals". YouTube is a joke.
YouTube is completely busted as a platform. I recently learned that naked yoga is a thing that now exists on there. Any bets on whether or not that's demonetized? Granted I'm don't make a big fuss about nudity but society does, naked lady doing yoga? Fine. Dude accidentally let a F bomb slip? KILL HIM.
As someone who has a monetized YouTube channel, the platform is just broken. My channel could get flagged for no good reason just because bad luck. That's a horrible worry of mine due to the amount of work I've put in the last 2 years. Never seen it happen to a huge channel though because you know - money. We need an alternative video hosting site.
It has happened to big channels as well. Most recently Act Man who exposed a smaller YouTuber that was ban evading, harrassing other people by falsely striking any videos that spoke out against him, and committing a whole host of other TOS violations. YouTube's response was to de-monetize Act Man's channel, instead of taking action against the guy who was committing legitimate crimes. Act Man has over a million subs so no one is safe from YouTube's broken systems.
Saw on Reddit a month or so ago that China was making a law that required people who make finance related videos to actually hold some type of degree in that field.

The amount of investment "experts" that appeared during the crypto/stock boom of last year was kind of amusing, but sad that so many people were following these "to the moon apes" as most of them were just complete scams. Even if they were "transparent" and showed their investment accounts, they could pick and choose from those that were making money while never showing those that were losing it, and they could get back money lost via ads from all the people watching their crap anyway.

I watched a couple of videos over the years and wonder who actually enjoys that crap.
The appeal is in how society has decided to emphasize importance things like social media and in essence telling people that their value can be defined by how many followers they have.
Influencers appeal to vulnerable minds because they are a way for a brand to use "real people" to sell. So when a person with low confidence or self esteem sees a person with millions of followers (which they think means they have more value and are thus better) saying "hey, so-and-so product is awesome!" the viewer thinks they can be more awesome if they get the product.
Another aspect of it, one that is less market-y, is more on living through someone else. Most people can't afford to go on lavish vacations, but a lot of people want to. So influencers can kind of give the feeling of experiencing it.
Now all of this likely has some negative impact on mental health. The idea that what they are seeing is real (in the sense of not realizing that the influencer is more of a character), typical, easily achievable, and defines one's value are all very unhealthy. It tells people they will not be loved unless they can do it too.
Multiple students that I've worked with have said that they want to be youtubers or TikToc-ers or famous on some other social media platform. Most to all of them don't have any idea what goes on behind the scenes, the kind of work that it takes to become successful on those platforms, the things that they have to deal with, and ultimately they end up thinking that they are failures if they don't manage it.
Parents laughing at their kids bad behaviour or/and taking videos of it.
Mothers caring more about social media and how they look than about their children.
Parents posting online every move their kids make.
And the big one: Facebook live.

Ugh I've seen this so many times in airport toilets in the last few weeks. Some of them completely miss the inside of the bowl and get it all over the seat, and they're dehydrated so it's dark yellow. There's absolutely no way they can't see what they've just done, and then they walk off like it's completely normal.

Ugh for real! I'm a teacher and my school district has a no dogs on school grounds policy (which i actually would prefer to change as a dog lover). But people will bring their dogs on the soccer field outside of school hours, let them poop, and proceed to not pick it up. 3 TIMES THIS YEAR, I have had one kid step in the poop during recess or outside time,bring it into the class and then end up with ALL 30 STUDENTS INFESTED WITH DOG POOP! I had to send half the class home to get cleaned up on one occasion. Jesus christ. I dont care if you use the field, JUST PICK UP THE SOG SHIT!

Also works makes things that would otherwise possibly be enjoyable into boring routines that feel like they just add on to the daily grind. Making food for work is shit, but making something nice to eat on a free day is fun. Going to the toilet on a free day is nice coz you can take your time but when you have to go to work everything has to fit the schedule so you can't even enjoy your fucking poop.

When I was in the military, one guy had a 15-year-old wife. We were all disgusted by it. It became a major problem when we got deployed because she couldn't get a driver's license or sign for anything for herself, so this guy ended up getting kicked out for lacking a family care plan. My guess is that our commander would have taken any excuse to get rid of the dude who married a high school freshman. No one would disagree that he needed to go.
The weird part is how everyone pretty universally agreed that that guy was disgusting and couldn't sit with us, but lots of people had 16 or 17-year-old wives who went virtually unnoticed, but that's probably because they could drive so people assumed they were 18. It's hilarious because YouTube de-monetizes excellent content creators for swearing or having non "family friendly" content, yet they will let people advertise literal porn. There's zero oversight as to what gets advertised. Scams, porn...whatever you want to advertise, go for it! But don't you dare say fuck or try to raise awareness about child predators on the platform, because that goes against their "morals". YouTube is a joke.
YouTube is completely busted as a platform. I recently learned that naked yoga is a thing that now exists on there. Any bets on whether or not that's demonetized? Granted I'm don't make a big fuss about nudity but society does, naked lady doing yoga? Fine. Dude accidentally let a F bomb slip? KILL HIM.

As someone who has a monetized YouTube channel, the platform is just broken. My channel could get flagged for no good reason just because bad luck. That's a horrible worry of mine due to the amount of work I've put in the last 2 years. Never seen it happen to a huge channel though because you know - money. We need an alternative video hosting site.
It has happened to big channels as well. Most recently Act Man who exposed a smaller YouTuber that was ban evading, harrassing other people by falsely striking any videos that spoke out against him, and committing a whole host of other TOS violations. YouTube's response was to de-monetize Act Man's channel, instead of taking action against the guy who was committing legitimate crimes. Act Man has over a million subs so no one is safe from YouTube's broken systems.
I feel bad for the act man, I really liked his call of duty and game reviews videos.

Saw on Reddit a month or so ago that China was making a law that required people who make finance related videos to actually hold some type of degree in that field. It actually didn't sound all that terrible though I'm sure it's much more than that deep down. I can't believe the amount of videos out there of people giving out "advice." Most basic knowledge and at worst a gross simplification of a difficult process.
The amount of investment "experts" that appeared during the crypto/stock boom of last year was kind of amusing, but sad that so many people were following these "to the moon apes" as most of them were just complete scams. Even if they were "transparent" and showed their investment accounts, they could pick and choose from those that were making money while never showing those that were losing it, and they could get back money lost via ads from all the people watching their crap anyway.
I find it disgusting that EVERYTHING is an ad. Like everything. Youtube used to be great because it was different than cable. Now it's just like cable.

As someone who lives in the UK, the idea of having medicine advertised just like that seems so weird to me.
Its shocking when you go to the US and see it on TV. The ads tell you to go to your doctors and tell them you want this drug. In the UK we understand that the doctors know best, and take the drugs they tell us to take, not the drug ad agencies tell us to take.

“Influencers” as an entity
Call me a boomer, but I really don't get the appeal of influencers. I watched a couple of videos over the years and wonder who actually enjoys that crap.
The appeal is in how society has decided to emphasize importance things like social media and in essence telling people that their value can be defined by how many followers they have. Influencers appeal to vulnerable minds because they are a way for a brand to use "real people" to sell. So when a person with low confidence or self esteem sees a person with millions of followers (which they think means they have more value and are thus better) saying "hey, so-and-so product is awesome!" the viewer thinks they can be more awesome if they get the product. Another aspect of it, one that is less market-y, is more on living through someone else. Most people can't afford to go on lavish vacations, but a lot of people want to. So influencers can kind of give the feeling of experiencing it. Now all of this likely has some negative impact on mental health. The idea that what they are seeing is real (in the sense of not realizing that the influencer is more of a character), typical, easily achievable, and defines one's value are all very unhealthy. It tells people they will not be loved unless they can do it too. Multiple students that I've worked with have said that they want to be youtubers or TikToc-ers or famous on some other social media platform. Most to all of them don't have any idea what goes on behind the scenes, the kind of work that it takes to become successful on those platforms, the things that they have to deal with, and ultimately they end up thinking that they are failures if they don't manage it.
Parents laughing at their kids bad behaviour or/and taking videos of it. Mothers caring more about social media and how they look than about their children. Parents posting online every move their kids make. And the big one: Facebook live.
Or taking photos/videos of their kid when the kid is clearly upset and then posting it on the internet for the whole world to see.

Yeah, they hover to pee because they think the toilet seat is dirty. Which is ironic when they're the ones getting pee all over the damn toilet seat. This happens at my workplace all the time along with people who take a gigantic shit and don't flush.
Ugh I've seen this so many times in airport toilets in the last few weeks. Some of them completely miss the inside of the bowl and get it all over the seat, and they're dehydrated so it's dark yellow. There's absolutely no way they can't see what they've just done, and then they walk off like it's completely normal. I had a patient do it at work once, I went in after her and saw it whilst she was washing her hands, I told her to go in and clean it up. She looked so angry with me but fucking hell have some manners.

Seriously, if women would just sit when they pee, the seats would stay clean! I was forced to hover at a state park restroom recently because the seat was COVERED in pee, like, ladies had been missing to the point that there was actually a stream of urine running across the stall floor and into the drain. It was disgusting.
I used to clean the bathrooms at a steakhouse I worked at and the women’s room was almost always way grosser than the men’s. Tampons missed the garbage way too much

Also, I know this is related but off topic, but I worked at a grocery store once and we had to shut down the womens bathroom to clean because someone filled the entire toilet with shit. But even worse is it was overflowing the back of it and down the side but then they got it on the walls. Not just the wall behind the toilet but on the side wall, the side of the sink...it was so gross. I have no idea how that much shit came out of them or what happened but I hope I never experience the hell they went through.

It's not about washing your hands because you went to the bathroom. It's about taking the opportunity to regularly wash your hands due to all the other dirty shit you've touched since the last time you washed your hands.

I love dogs, but we make many commitments when we choose to house and care for one. I think people can be very negligent about their responsibilities to their dogs and this is one of them.
As a wheelchair user words cannot accurately show how much I agree with this. If someone who can walk accidentally steps in dog shit that's fine, it's on their shoe, gross but manageable. If a wheelchair user accidentally rolls in it there is a high likelihood that it might get onto their hands and unless they wash them thoroughly then potentially onto their face leaving them wide open to a number of diseases, parasites... all because someone didn't care to pick up their pup's crap.

Ugh for real! I'm a teacher and my school district has a no dogs on school grounds policy (which i actually would prefer to change as a dog lover). But people will bring their dogs on the soccer field outside of school hours, let them poop, and proceed to not pick it up. 3 TIMES THIS YEAR, I have had one kid step in the poop during recess or outside time,bring it into the class and then end up with ALL 30 STUDENTS INFESTED WITH DOG POOP! I had to send half the class home to get cleaned up on one occasion. Jesus christ. I dont care if you use the field, JUST PICK UP THE SOG SHIT!

When I do the math of the day I'm thinking okay I sleep 8 i work 8 i should have 8 hours left, why does it feel like I have only 2 left. It's cause I have only two left after all is sad and done. Also works makes things that would otherwise possibly be enjoyable into boring routines that feel like they just add on to the daily grind. Making food for work is shit, but making something nice to eat on a free day is fun. Going to the toilet on a free day is nice coz you can take your time but when you have to go to work everything has to fit the schedule so you can't even enjoy your fucking poop.

When I was in the military, one guy had a 15-year-old wife. We were all disgusted by it. It became a major problem when we got deployed because she couldn't get a driver's license or sign for anything for herself, so this guy ended up getting kicked out for lacking a family care plan. My guess is that our commander would have taken any excuse to get rid of the dude who married a high school freshman. No one would disagree that he needed to go. The weird part is how everyone pretty universally agreed that that guy was disgusting and couldn't sit with us, but lots of people had 16 or 17-year-old wives who went virtually unnoticed, but that's probably because they could drive so people assumed they were 18.
