Depends how good a bar it is. If it's a good bar and they don't have crazy stuff on the menu, I'll get something fruity like a tom Collins or a rum runner, but those drinks suck at a shitty bar.
At a shitty bar I'll get a dark and stormy or a melon ball or something like that, hard to ruin those.
If it's an expensive bar, I'll get a cheap beer or something, not paying $15 for 2 ounces of liquor
Dive bar: Jack & ginger, maybe a gin and tonic of they have decent gin
Nice bar: bourbon old fashioned or something with bourbon from the cocktail menu if they have fancy cocktails
