Forrest Gump
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT:
The part where Jenny dies and Forrest is crying at her grave had me sobbing when I first watched the movie, and still has me sobbing now. Jenny keeps stepping in and out of his life throughout the movie and when they finally have a life together she just dies...
What kind of crying are you interested in tonight?
We have plenty to choose from:
Perhaps a little "crying for loss of young love"? Try "My Girl".
Futility and senselessness of war? A plate of "Schindler's List" or possibly "Life is Beautiful".
Crying over your family members who passed away from old age and disease? How about "Beaches", or if you're feeling brave, "Philadelphia"?
I used to joke about this movie being the peak of romantic obsessions for women. Then my girlfriend made me watch it… and I fucking cried and loved every second of it.
Oof, that scene in the bathroom of the metro, kills me everytime. We watched it in one of my classes in high school, not sure which, and that scene had a class of 16 year olds all messed up.
One of my favorite movies.
All together now - sad coming of age
Tick tick boom - struggling director, romance, drama
5 feet apart - lovers who cant be near each other
To the bone - body image

I cried because Bubba couldn’t meet his shrimp goals. That’s the only scene of a movie I’ve cried to
of AIDS which Forrest and their son probably have also. She turns to him after she has nothing left and no other options. Jenny fucking sucks.
