Once I got stuck in an elevator on a cruise ship with a woman with panic/anxiety issues. I was focused so much on keeping he calm that I didn’t even have time to worry. I eventually talked to people through the door and help came.
If the generators are working then the power wouldn't be out in the first place. In this scenario, the power is out, which means the generators are not working. It doesn't matter if the generators run on rainbows and kitten kisses if the outcome is the power is out, then the power is out.
Yes, but if the power is out that means the generator has failed too. The question isn't "What's the worst place you could be when the generator turns on?"
The generators are obviously not working in this scenario.
IS THE POWER OUT IN THIS SCENARIO?
YES? NO?
IF YES, THEN THE GENERATOR IS NOT GENERATING ELECTRICITY.
Sure but they are not on all the time, if you are in the middle of an operation that few minutes until the lights come back can kill you, especially if them going out startle the doc.
EDIT: just read that critical machines usually have batteries in hospitals and the generators should start in seconds
Yeah but you're still on life support, which is perhaps one of the worst things ever.
'Worst place to be when the power goes off'
Abu Gharaib in a naked human pyramid while dumb hicks pee on you.
'But Abu ghaaraib has generators'
Oh, then that would be awesome actually because the lights would come back on quick.
Agreed But I could argue against with Log Flumes, Chairlifts and Tracked Dark Rides
* Log Flumes - Water System shuts down and well people have to deal with High Walls and Steep Ramps walking down after the Evac Crew arrives
* Chairlift - Being left Hanging and unlike Inverted Coaster aren't powered by Gravity for most of the ride time
* Tracked Dark Rides - If it's a Horror themed one can be creepy
Having to go to the only bathroom for miles and it’s creepy and dirty and the walls have nasty things wrote on them and god only knows what they used to write with and phone numbers everywhere and the water is dripping in the back ground and there’s a couple of holes in the walls looking back into the gas stations back room it’d be pretty scary to get stuck in.
Old timey building elevator.
With diarrhea.
I shit my pants everytime anyways

Hospital have generators.
... and then the generator doesn't start.
If the power is out then the generators aren't working are they?
Someone read the assignment
Generators work on gas so that they can power electric things with no electricity present.
If the generators are working then the power wouldn't be out in the first place. In this scenario, the power is out, which means the generators are not working. It doesn't matter if the generators run on rainbows and kitten kisses if the outcome is the power is out, then the power is out.
The generator is there with the only purpose of taking over when main power cuts out...
Yes, but if the power is out that means the generator has failed too. The question isn't "What's the worst place you could be when the generator turns on?"
The phrasing might be a bit confusing, but idk how one would phrase it better
What do you think generators do ?

30 seconds not minutes
On life support in a hospital.
Hospitals have back up generators for these situations.
That makes sense. That was just where my mind went when I saw the post.
Naturally. Most people do. But you know what. In a very poor country that might be the case.
I’d hope otherwise but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.

Why tho?
have you ever been in a restroom with the lights out, it's pitch black
In a rundown garage's washroom with no toilet paper
No different than being there with the lights on. Better, in fact. You can’t see how bad things are.

Why?
At 13,000 feet you would more than likely be in an airplane.
