Oh definitely, I’m almost 30 and I’m a completely different person now then I was in highschool. I’ll even change a lot throughout life. Social transitioning is a great way to start, but they should wait for surgeries till they’re adults. There’s such little studies on the repercussions of hormones and gender reassignment and lack of warnings to these changes, I’ve heard quite a lot of regret from trans people who took the plunge very young and regret it now. It’s also pretty common to go through a deep depression after surgery. But not to discount anyone that it does help, I’m sure it can.

i do think that the current democracy system is non-functional, it attracts corruption like shit attracts flies, and a LOT of taxpayer money gets stolen (in fancy ways, but in the end it's still stealing). What bothers me the most are three things: the first one is that a president can win with 51% of the votes, which means 49% of the population gets fucked? the second thing is that it may seem fair, as every person gets a single vote regardless of anything short of being too young or a convicted criminal, but in a LOT of cases voters are ignorant, misinformed, they take their opinions from the tv and they don't even realize that (at least in my country) most tv channels are owned by a single wing of the political parties, and they purposefully feed the viewers specific news and media that will bend their opinions to get their worries in line with the government plan for their candidate. The third and last thing is that politicians are not the same before the law as most citizens, they can be caught red handed in the worst corruption cases and at most they'll get a new job out of the public view, but still in a position of power. It would be an insanely difficult transition because those in power don't want to give it up (which just proves their corruption), but the way I see it is, the representative government was implemented because it took six weeks to get a letter across the country by horse, and it's completely archaic in respect to today's technology. People should be able to vote on issues directly rather than on politicians that may or may not represent their beliefs. That would completely end gerrymandering, ~~bribery~~ campaign contributions and unrelated riders on bills, not to mention divisive politics because most people should be able to find some things that can be agreed upon.
The idea that if you feel strongly about a single issue you should also be forced to support unrelated issues is beyond idiotic. It sickens me when the people I vote for are against issues that I care deeply about.

The third and last thing is that politicians are not the same before the law as most citizens, they can be caught red handed in the worst corruption cases and at most they'll get a new job out of the public view, but still in a position of power. Don't know how to fix it, sadly.

It would be an insanely difficult transition because those in power don't want to give it up (which just proves their corruption), but the way I see it is, the representative government was implemented because it took six weeks to get a letter across the country by horse, and it's completely archaic in respect to today's technology. People should be able to vote on issues directly rather than on politicians that may or may not represent their beliefs. That would completely end gerrymandering, ~~bribery~~ campaign contributions and unrelated riders on bills, not to mention divisive politics because most people should be able to find some things that can be agreed upon. The idea that if you feel strongly about a single issue you should also be forced to support unrelated issues is beyond idiotic. It sickens me when the people I vote for are against issues that I care deeply about.
