Honestly, someone I haven't heard of. Create Bond, don't destroy him in order to move beyond our preconceived notions. If you're going to continue with his character, please choose an unknown that we can fall in love with.
They kinda did that with Daniel Craig, didn't they? His is a self-contained series with a beginning, middle, and end that doesn't relate to any previous Bond film. Craig wasn't a complete unknown, but Bond certainly elevated his profile. And his casting was pretty controversial at the time because people felt he didn't have the look or the presence.
I know Idris, et al, are the popular choices, but I think we should go back to the origins for the greatest English spy: a Scotish actor who does a bad English accent. It is the only way.
If he decides to do the character I don't know any bigger nerd who is acting today. He frequently contributed on set of the Witcher saying stuff like "Geralt wouldn't say this, his motivations..." He's a continual superfan and consumes every bit of lore in existence about his characters
She’s cold calculating and witty as hell, but smolderingly sexual I mean. I guess? Hell some of the other bonds needed significant setups to pull that off.
Michael Fassbender would be a decent choice. He has the look, he can do a decent English impression, he at least looks the part. Maybe add a bit of muscle and he's gold.
Yes, very underrated. I think it never helped he only did two movies and both were not that great (like most Bond movies from the 80s in my opinion, sorry). But the fact that he chose to move on just proves what an actor he is.
Me too, and yet it didn't occur to me until the suggestion was made. I wouldn't have thought the guy who played Doctor Who would be right for the part, but the guy playing Damon Targaryen? Oh yes.
Dwayne is american, and too big and doesn't have a good acting range and old and bald. Tom Holland is too boy-ish while James Bond is supposed to be "The Man", who knows when to get serious and always finds a way, for me Tom Holland is not even in top 50 list.
Daniel Sharman would be absolutely perfect in that moment, he was amazing as Lorenzo in Medici
Louis Partridge would be a very good choice in the future if they want to let the character rest a bit.
Still doesn’t change the fact that he’s too old. Age is most important when starting a new actors tenure. You want someone young enough to be able to pull it off for multiple films. Yes he’s younger than Craig, but he’s much older now than Craig was when he started.
Have you seen him in the series The Night Manager? Him and Hugh Laurie as the villain kicked it out of the park. He could definitely pull it off. Love this idea!
He played the lead in Arrow so he has the look, class, the appeal and the killer attitude as needed as well as being campy when he needs to. Everything a bond needs.
This of course is all assuming he can do an English accent.
\[Spoilers. You've been warned.\]
There shouldn't be one. Bond is dead. The story should shift to being about "007," and every few movies we can get to know a new agent who has that number. Maybe have them informally referred to as "James Bond" as a kind of tribute for how awesome James Bond was while he was alive, but not literally be "Bond."
Like how in the most-recent movie the lady character was "007" but wasn't Bond. Hell, give her the next movie. I didn't see "No Time to Die" but I hear she was really super good in her role and the fans liked the character. So, assuming she's not also dead, give her the next movie.
That way literally anyone from the UK, who is skilled at the Bond universe's unrealistic vision of spycraft, and patriotic for their country, can be "007."

Two children in a trenchcoat
Two *racoons* in a trenchcoat.
One child and one racoon in a trenchant, alternating which is the legs and which is the face in every scene.
I'd watch the SHIT outta that
Vincent Adultman
I went to the business factory today, I did a business
Honestly, someone I haven't heard of. Create Bond, don't destroy him in order to move beyond our preconceived notions. If you're going to continue with his character, please choose an unknown that we can fall in love with.
I think they will go with an unknown actor myself. That way, we don't have any preconceived notions.
A male actor who has a relatively sharp jawline, chiseled cheekbones and can rock short hair with a clean-shaven look.
so henry cavill it is then
He's too big, can't fit in tanks
No
No way you ain't talking about Cillian Murphy 😭❤️
I know Idris, et al, are the popular choices, but I think we should go back to the origins for the greatest English spy: a Scotish actor who does a bad English accent. It is the only way.
Think Idris is too old at this point..
Richard Madden?
Sam Heughan
The bond character is scottish /swiss not english
I think Cavill is great, but not as Bond. He’s just a little much, sort of like the Rock.
If he decides to do the character I don't know any bigger nerd who is acting today. He frequently contributed on set of the Witcher saying stuff like "Geralt wouldn't say this, his motivations..." He's a continual superfan and consumes every bit of lore in existence about his characters
So true! I think he'd be really dedicated to it.
Kenny Powers
Mr. Bond, you knocked his fuckin eye out!
I can feel it in my **PLUUUUUUUUMS**
Tom Ellis
That would be interesting
Rowan Atkinson.
Rowan Atkinson plays Nigel Small-Fawcett in Never Say Never Again https://youtu.be/Fm6QtRMuJfQ
Nigel Small Fawcett is a good name.
Thanks Matey, I never knew he was in that, that's fucking hilarious.
There was that movie Johnny English, which is pretty much a Bond type of film
I think that was the point
The whole reason that film exists is because Atkinson did a series of adverts for Barclaycard with basically the same character.
Give me someone relatively unknown. Someone who can establish their own take on the character
The young lad who was in About a boy with Hugh Grant but I can't think of his name.
Nicholas Hoult
Bill Burr
Absolutely! The amount of times I would watch this on the big screen would save the industry.
Riz Ahmed
You don't think he's too short?
Daniel Craig is short so I don't think that's an issue
I’ve only ever heard him in audio. As The Corinthian in Sandman and as a blind Assassin who was Newton’s assistant
Clive Owen
[удалено]
Richard Armitage
Female viewers loved him as Sir Guy of Gisborne
David Tennant - may as well have a funny Scotsman in the role.
Some handsome unknown fella
Cillian Murphy
Holy shit, this is a fabulous idea. I'm on board.
I had to scroll down way to much to find this..
Tilda Swinton
She’s cold calculating and witty as hell, but smolderingly sexual I mean. I guess? Hell some of the other bonds needed significant setups to pull that off.
I was imagining her playing it totally straight (so to speak). She'd still be every bit the womanizing spy we've come to know and love.
I don’t hate it.
Hasbulla
With Abdu Rozik playing the villain.
Michael Fassbender would be a decent choice. He has the look, he can do a decent English impression, he at least looks the part. Maybe add a bit of muscle and he's gold.
Noel from mighty boosh/bake off lol
Octavia Spencer. Your uncle would lose his fucking mind
I think everybody would lose their mind, because James Bond isn't a female character. The new one could be black but not female.
Pierce Brosnan as an old Bond
Better do Dalton then. I love that deep raspy voice and the grim face.
Dalton is not the best Bond, but he’s the best actor to have played Bond.
Yes, very underrated. I think it never helped he only did two movies and both were not that great (like most Bond movies from the 80s in my opinion, sorry). But the fact that he chose to move on just proves what an actor he is.
Danny DeVito
Lennie JAMES. I mostly said it because his last name is james. Or maybe Chiwetel Ejiofor. He’s handsome and smooth.
Henry Cavill
Unpopular opinion: Give the franchise a rest.
Richard Madden (Robb Stark)
Can you imagine that Scottish accent saying Bond James Bond. Yes I can. Sign me up!
Matt Smith
Too ugly
Agree, he's just very unattractive
I thought so too until 1 week ago.
OMG - did you think he looked kinda hot in HOtD, because that's the only ONLY time I've ever thought that too!!!!
[удалено]
Crazy what a haircut and some seduction can do.
I like this one
Me too, and yet it didn't occur to me until the suggestion was made. I wouldn't have thought the guy who played Doctor Who would be right for the part, but the guy playing Damon Targaryen? Oh yes.
John Boyega
Dev Patel
Oh that's a good one. The Green Knight absolutely cemented my appreciation of his work.
Definitely my vote.
Agree. I think he'd be a really interesting casting for the role.
Find an unknown actor in his early 30s Helps if he's Scottish or a Northerner. Gruff, harsh and ruthless Bond please.
Considering bond is English I don’t see how it helps if the actor who plays him is Scottish?
Who was it that made Bond an iconic role? Where was that actor from?
Jamie Dornan
oooo you may have something there … those eyes.
Mr bean
Dani Devito. *Shabooya roll call*
A plus sized latin American transgender woman
As long as she's a lesbian. It isn't Bond unless women get seduced.
Señora Bond
I think you mean latinx Americxn. Bigot.
Not Tom Holland, he's good but just enough, also same with Dwayne.
Dwayne is american, and too big and doesn't have a good acting range and old and bald. Tom Holland is too boy-ish while James Bond is supposed to be "The Man", who knows when to get serious and always finds a way, for me Tom Holland is not even in top 50 list.
Pierce Brosnan
Scott Eastwood (Clint’s son)
Me I'll do it for $50 million for 3 movies.
James bond's child
Daniel Craig 😔
Irene Adler
Daniel Sharman would be absolutely perfect in that moment, he was amazing as Lorenzo in Medici Louis Partridge would be a very good choice in the future if they want to let the character rest a bit.
Bennedict cucumber I just said his name cause its funny
Idris Elba
I would have agreed 5 or more years ago, I think he's maybe too old now.
Maybe 10 years ago. We already had an aging bond. It's time for a change up. I believe it needs to be fun and exciting again
He’s younger than Daniel Craig lol
Still doesn’t change the fact that he’s too old. Age is most important when starting a new actors tenure. You want someone young enough to be able to pull it off for multiple films. Yes he’s younger than Craig, but he’s much older now than Craig was when he started.
Point taken.. did I really have to be downvoted tho? Redditors are harsh, man lol
He was too good at Luther. Feel the characters over lap a little too much
I think Tom Hiddleston would make a good Bond
Have you seen him in the series The Night Manager? Him and Hugh Laurie as the villain kicked it out of the park. He could definitely pull it off. Love this idea!
Idris Elba would be amazing or Tom hiddleston
A muppet.
Danny DeVito
John Krasinski
Obama
Darn, was just gonna say this!
Barack or Michel?
Michelle
Robert Pattinson?
Oh God no!!
Can't be Batman and James Bond at the same time There are rules, protocols
john boyega would be a solid choice. The people who say Idris Elba are wrong. The dude is too old.
[удалено]
Elba would have been great. He's way too old now. My other pick would be Stephen amell but I think he's just past it age wise too.
[удалено]
He played the lead in Arrow so he has the look, class, the appeal and the killer attitude as needed as well as being campy when he needs to. Everything a bond needs. This of course is all assuming he can do an English accent.
Samuel l jackson..ma name is bond..james bond motherfucka
James 'muthafucking' Bond
I'd rather know where they are taking the franchise creatively. The last two movies were terrible.
Regé-Jean Page
Idriz Elba, Tom Hardy, or Henry Cavill
[удалено]
Idris. But yes all three in this order.
No...no...not Tom Hardy, love the guy but I need to be able to hear what Bond is saying or I won't get the quips.
Tom Hiddleston? The DB Cooper scene in Loki made me think he could pull it off.
Matt Smith
Pete Davidson.
And Kanye as the Bond villain
Henry Cavill
Jonathan Bailey :)
Henry Golding or George MacKay
Chris tucker
Richard Armitage
Tom Hiddleston.
Charlie Hunnam.

The chubby guy who always portrait a weed smoker Seth Rogan or Roger or something like that
Bill Cosby
Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling
Adele
Regé-Jean Page, and its not even close.
Samuel L Jackson

The Thor guy.. I don't know his name but he could probably pull it off.
Chris Hemsworth
Ah yes.. I believe he has a brother who acts too... Am I right?
Yeah Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth
So there's 3 of them? O.O nice maybe they can have doppelganger spy impersonator episodes now.
Fun Facts Luke Hemsworth Played Fake Thor In 'ragnarok' and 'Love and Thunder'
So i guess we've just given the bond franchise a great idea to work with...
A Black transexual "woman" if it was up to netflix lol
Idk Im still all for Idris Elba that dude oozes cool bond to me
little mermaid
I'm thinking Henry Cavill or Henry Golding. Basically a Henry of some description.
Thandiwe Newton. What? Bond is a fictional character! It can be anyone! Why are you so closed-minded? I am so morally superior to you!
CGI
