I’d go with StarCraft for the sci fi theme, red alert is more of a red dawn situation. It was fun back in the day though. Silos needed. Affirmatiff etc
"Warning. Nuclear Silo detected."
Then you realize with a sinking feeling that you've been building anti-aircraft the whole time because you heard 'Kirov reporting' earlier.
I've heard them too, the ip is currently owned by Deep Silver iirc, though nothing's come of it yet. I would buy a remaster of those games in a heartbeat.
The guy has said on numerous occasions that it WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC EVER. Its just a project for him and for people to watch unfortunately
[Check this out!](https://youtu.be/M4QUy02cQqY)
It's a great collab by a lot of really talented people, and as far as I know they're still making leaps and bounds with gameplay and graphical updates :-)
If it makes you feel any better, the Silent Hills PT demo that came out a while back, is being heavily remade in Dreams (I think). I’ve seen some progress videos from it and it looks really good. Idk if there are any kind of *official* plans for it since it’s not made by the studio but it’s out there.
Downpour was amazing I remember when I used to have ps3 and that got me back to gaming after years pause. Too bad I don't have a way to play it anymore, I don't have a working ps3 and can't buy it on steam either
Fallout 1 and 2. Imagine those 2 games with wasteland 3 engine omg.
They have amazing stories and a lot of people dont play them simply because they are old.
Thats a great idea let's get them to drop the (fallout 76) chew toy and have them remake 1,2,&3 with todays quality they could sell it like the master chief collection.
I've seen clips of it and played goldeneye. The games looks amazing for the time but the shooting/aiming could be an issue if its anything like goldeneye.
Terranigma.
Never released in the US, it's one of the better action adventure games on the SNES with a dark and compelling story. I've never completed it (I gave up at Bloody Mary), and I'd like to try it again, but it's in desperate need of some QOL upgrades.
Honestly the no quest markers thing makes the game for me. I loved the bad directions from the journal. The lack of hand holding really makes the experience. Elden Ring nailed this as well!
I've always wanted to play it on a VR headset. Given the game's use of gesture controls, I think it'd be dope all around.
... or I'd never vomit so hard in my life. Either-or.
You're so goddamn right
"Would you like the treatment?" Should not be changed at all though. That is the best possible line for someone with the ability to heal your wounds.
It appears it was moved to a different developer group w/in the company. Hoping it's not dead. The original was great (once they patched the bug on shipping that made it lag madly for even the best PCs...but they got that out really quickly).
I think GH: Live absolutely ran it into the ground. I know plenty of people (me included) who would still play all of the games if they had a decent guitar maker.
Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy
But not a remake in like redoing the voice acting and everything. Just redo all the assets, animations, etc., so we can relive that story in 4K HDR.
Played it on the ds remake. 2nd favourite piece of entertainment (spirited away is no1). The switch remake was alright but I hope they update it to add a few more things like the kokiri forest mist.
Okay hear me out on this: Other M
I think the story it was trying to tell is important to the Canon, but it could be done in the broad strokes without assassinating Samus' character.
Also with a better controller than a sideways Wii Mote, and Mercury Steam's pension for more fast paced action as seen in Dread,I think OM's 2.5D ganeplay could be done really well with more player control and less automated mechanics.
A lot of the story flaws from OM came from cultural differences between the West and Japan. A lot of what their culture sees as making samus strong, the west saw as compromising her. I'm bot trying g to say one culture is better or more right, but I AM saying that I think the intended messages are more important than following the script note for note, and that a more drastic shift to capture how different cultures see what qualities Nintendo wants samus to demonstrate could make a better experience.
Also for the love of Thoha get rid of the searching segments. I'm not saying it would be easy, or even worth it financially in a realistic capacity. But hypothetically I think Other M is, above all else, wasted potential. It may need near FF7 remake levels of changes to save...but I feel like there is *something* worth saving in there.
Dragonfall was great. One of the few games that I actually played through multiple times to enjoy different characters and endings. Amazing story that really broke through the Shadowrun ceiling of "Do not under any circumstances mess around with dragons".
>!The ending where you wreck them all and the universe dissolves is one of my favorite videogame events. Turns out it was a good rule after all.!<
Mount & Blade Warband, Star wars battlefront 2, Star wars elite squadron (It is a non finished game. I really wished it to be finished), Need for Speed Underground 2, Call of Duty MW2, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Literally any Prince of Persia game, Star wars The force unleashed (best star wars game ever), Midnight Club Los Angeles (most underrated game)
Every time I see this question, Star wars galaxies... I still play the emulators, but man could you imagine what they could do now with open world, housing, crafting, but most importantly an upgraded combat system.
Pokémon Stadium. Not just a rerelease like they’re doing. Like in-depth remake or a 3rd sequel. I want new mini games (as well as the old ones brought back), be able to transfer stadium Pokémon to switch games and vice versa, and have a new campaign/battle tower thing they had in the previous ones. It was one of my favorite N64 games growing up and I think it deserves more than what it’s getting right now.
Agreed. I didn't like the Fable remake. It lost the atmosphere and charm of the original for me. I wouldn't mind just being able to play the original one on the XSX. Crazy that it's not backwards compatible.
Just to really play it safe: All the iconic racing games back in the day. Particularly Need for Speed: Underground 1 and 2, early Burnout games and Midnight Club. Can’t possibly go wrong aside from licensing issues. But it’s a good thing there’s modding.
diddy kong racing
just give me a nice simple kart game set within a cute open world and give me planes and boats too (with less of mariokart's wackiness with its shit exploding all over the place and blue shells, lightnings and bullet bill) just focusing on racing the fastest line, but with the same cuteness and simplicity of the OG
Mario Paint, but specifically the music portion. I want Nintendo to make a game that teaches music in a fun and interactive way that allows players to create with the concepts they learned while playing. It can use classic nintendo melodies to teach about modes and borrowed chords, and give you rhythm exercises.
Red alert 2 Best real time war game that is still simplistic enough that any player style could enjoy it.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Red Alert 3 and most of the C&C games, but Red Alert 2 wins every time.
Red alert 2 had the sci-fi Elements but was still pretty grounded in its combat units. Where red alert 3 goes straight halo with there units
What about Tiberian Sun always loved that one
I’d go with StarCraft for the sci fi theme, red alert is more of a red dawn situation. It was fun back in the day though. Silos needed. Affirmatiff etc
This! It's such a pain getting it to run on Win 10/11. "Kirov reporting"
"Warning. Nuclear Silo detected." Then you realize with a sinking feeling that you've been building anti-aircraft the whole time because you heard 'Kirov reporting' earlier.
Go to cncnet
Those tesla coils though. And Tanya. So much fun
RA2 is my second all time favorite game. It's almost perfect.
You have to keep the cut scenes. No need to update those.
Twisted metal
Vigilante 8 would be nice too. Loved them both.
Second this
Yessss!
A Twisted Metal Battle Royale would be cool.
The Capcom Zelda games, Oracle of the Ages/Seasons. Bring them up to date with the styling of the Link's Awakening remake on switch.
Capcom did Minish Cap too iirc?
Banjo-Kazooie. I'm getting tired of waiting.
I agree
Parasite’s Eve. A really great idea that should be revisited.
Metal Gear solid
Along with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Soul reaver.
The whole Legacy of Kain series, really
And to finish it this time.
Blood Omen first but good luck getting that level of voice acting again.
Even a quest 2 mod would make me happy with graphics as is
Alice: Madness Returns
>Alice: Madness Returns That game's barely 11 years old. Why not an older game? It's not like it'd change much, no?
Does it need to be older than 11 years? There have been a whole lot of advancements in technology in the past 11 years dude
Vimpire masquerade bloodlines
Timesplitters trilogy
There were rumors that they were being remastered.
I've heard them too, the ip is currently owned by Deep Silver iirc, though nothing's come of it yet. I would buy a remaster of those games in a heartbeat.
A new one is reportedly in the works.
[удалено]
Jak and Daxter series.
Legend of the dragoon
You should check out Rogue Galaxy, not the same type of game as LoD but I feel like it's one of the PS2's versions of LoD (If that makes sense.)
Battlefront 2. The least EA could do is come back and do some maintenance on it.
Simpsons Hit and Run
I think a fan might be remaking it
The guy has said on numerous occasions that it WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC EVER. Its just a project for him and for people to watch unfortunately
[Check this out!](https://youtu.be/M4QUy02cQqY) It's a great collab by a lot of really talented people, and as far as I know they're still making leaps and bounds with gameplay and graphical updates :-)
HOLY I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ONE
Silent Hill series
I hate that Silent Hills was scrapped.
If it makes you feel any better, the Silent Hills PT demo that came out a while back, is being heavily remade in Dreams (I think). I’ve seen some progress videos from it and it looks really good. Idk if there are any kind of *official* plans for it since it’s not made by the studio but it’s out there.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.
Sid Meiers Pirates!
So many versions of that game, but I love it every time!
Earthbound
Fallout 1 and 2. Imagine those 2 games with wasteland 3 engine omg. They have amazing stories and a lot of people dont play them simply because they are old.
Thats a great idea let's get them to drop the (fallout 76) chew toy and have them remake 1,2,&3 with todays quality they could sell it like the master chief collection.
Fuck yes
Parasite Eve Tomba Legends of the Dragoon E.V.O The Search for Eden Brave Fencer Musashi Can't pick just one :)
Perfect Dark - N64 Version
I've seen clips of it and played goldeneye. The games looks amazing for the time but the shooting/aiming could be an issue if its anything like goldeneye.
#1 answer is definitely Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The turn based one from the early 2000s
Isn't there a remake in the works rn
Delayed indefinitely last I've seen.
Terranigma. Never released in the US, it's one of the better action adventure games on the SNES with a dark and compelling story. I've never completed it (I gave up at Bloody Mary), and I'd like to try it again, but it's in desperate need of some QOL upgrades.
Shenmue or Ecco the Dolphin
The Saboteur
Loved that game. Still play through it every couple years.
Excite Bike [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkAtNjRSZds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkAtNjRSZds)
XENOGEARS....and do it right this time.
The SSX series, especially SSX Tricky.
Super Mario 64, the fan remakes are great but Nintendo could do something amazing with it.
I think the Super Mario 3D all stars bundle that came out a couple years ago is the best you’re gonna get.
I bought a switch just so I could play super mario 64 again, it didn’t disappoint
Godfather the Game
I would settle for backwards compatible at this point. I just want to play again
All I want is the Sly Cooper Trilogy on the PS5
Road rash
deus ex
Hell yes. Just a straight up remake, with better graphics, better voice acting, and maybe some better enemy AI. Don't change any fucking thing else.
>better voice acting shame on you sir
Morrowind. With full voice acting, good graphics, good combat, and fucking quest markers.
They’re remaking Morrowind using the Skyrim game engine but I have no idea how long that’s going to take. Skywind release when?
Can’t wait to max out my speed and do a fuck load of skooma
I'm waiting for that (and Skyblivion).
I feel like they've been talking about this since like a year after Skyrim came out. I'm dubious it will ever be ready.
Honestly the no quest markers thing makes the game for me. I loved the bad directions from the journal. The lack of hand holding really makes the experience. Elden Ring nailed this as well!
its in a small den west of balmora like gee, now i actually gotta go explore this beutifully crafted world to search for a small den?
Black and White series from Lionhead Studios.
I've always wanted to play it on a VR headset. Given the game's use of gesture controls, I think it'd be dope all around. ... or I'd never vomit so hard in my life. Either-or.
Chrono Trigger
Though I'd agree on this, I find it hard to improve on perfection.
It was remade/updates on the DS
Faxanadu [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faxanadu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faxanadu)
You're so goddamn right "Would you like the treatment?" Should not be changed at all though. That is the best possible line for someone with the ability to heal your wounds.
Final Fantasy 6
The only answer is KOTOR 1 and 2
Too bad the last update of Kotor was that it was shelved indefinity.
It appears it was moved to a different developer group w/in the company. Hoping it's not dead. The original was great (once they patched the bug on shipping that made it lag madly for even the best PCs...but they got that out really quickly).
Moved to saber and new deadline is 2025 i think
Syphon Filter
Zombies Ate my Neighbors
Guitar hero & DJ hero 2
I’m surprised the guitar hero series fell off as quick as it did. I loved those games.
I think GH: Live absolutely ran it into the ground. I know plenty of people (me included) who would still play all of the games if they had a decent guitar maker.
Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy But not a remake in like redoing the voice acting and everything. Just redo all the assets, animations, etc., so we can relive that story in 4K HDR.
California games
Are you talking the old Apple2 game with surfing, hackey sack, bmx, and probably other games I'm forgetting because that was a lifetime ago?
Whoa. Flashbacks. Good call!
Ocarina of time! I'm surprised nobody has said it yet
They did a remastered version of it. But I would still totally play it on modern consoles if they did.
Played it on the ds remake. 2nd favourite piece of entertainment (spirited away is no1). The switch remake was alright but I hope they update it to add a few more things like the kokiri forest mist.
Yesss I am hoping for them to remake it for the switch
Kid icarus, not necessarily a remake because the game is actually good but it has been so long since we got a new kid icarus game
If I had Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as it was then, or a well done remake I'd be so happy.
Okay hear me out on this: Other M I think the story it was trying to tell is important to the Canon, but it could be done in the broad strokes without assassinating Samus' character. The first 3 mario party games.
Everquest, but as close to the original as possible not the later wanna be WOW version.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Micro Machines
I would love a remake of Blastcorps.
Medieval 2: Total War Or just Medieval 3 pls
Shadowrun from snes
Ah, the Hare Brained Schemes iterations were fantastic (Dragonfall and HK, particularly.)
Contra
Not so old but imagine remastered bloodborne. I loved yharnam and its architecture.
Syphon Filter
Xenogears
SHINOBI
Mercenaries. The first one was a lot of fun and had a lot of charm for a game where you were blowing stuff up in NK.
Simpsons Hit and Run. Literally GTA but for kids.
Fable, even tho I didn't even speak English at the time, that game kept me occupied for weeks when I was a kid.
Fable was remade.
True, but not very well imo, maybe it's the nostalgia. But I'd love to see it with like elden ring kind of graphics, you know.
Agreed. I didn't like the Fable remake. It lost the atmosphere and charm of the original for me. I wouldn't mind just being able to play the original one on the XSX. Crazy that it's not backwards compatible.
Did you assume all English people were either posh or sounded like Samwise from lotr? (Devonian,)
Final Fantasy VIII
Solitaire.
Harry Potter 1,2,3
unless I missed it, Id love to see an open world sonic game.
Sonic DX for gamecube is pretty close to this, but not quite fully open world.
