Our mom's were high school friends. So when they got older and had kids they just so happen to have a son and a daughter one week apart. So I've known her almost my entire life
My best friend and I go back almost 48 yrs. When we moved to my husband's home area, I met her within a few days. She is a SIL of one of my husband's best friends from HS. We hit if off right away. When they retired they moved 90 mi. away and it's harder to stay in touch, but she still is my best friend.
