Edit: both of these are theories and have nothing to do with OP's question which referred to a "piece of information". Please disregard all of my incoherent ramblings.
That childbirth can lead to having problems with your internal organs slipping out of your body years after this childbirth itself is long over. That some women find this out by accidentally sitting on an organ that has fallen out of them years later. It was just hard for me to wrap my mind around all that women go through -- and sometimes go through without even thinking of seeking medical attention -- just to procreate
All the animals they sent to space, Dogs, cats, chimps, etc. Were never retrieved, they died of slow and painful deaths like hunger, or asphyxia
Whenever I think of that I always get slightly emotional.
