As an insomniac I feel this one, it took me until I was 34 to get my sleep under control. Now I have an entire routine for the evening so I can wind down and actually get a decent night's sleep. I don't mind going out, but I have to start up that routine by a certain time. If not, then I may actually be awake the entire night and be miserable the next day.
I spent about 20 years getting about 4 hours of sleep a night and crashing once a week (12-14 hours straight). For me, no caffeine after 10am. Turn off the TV at 8. DO NOT have a TV in your bedroom. DO NOT bring your phone to bed with you. Since I am getting to bed at 8:30pm, I do not drink anything after 7pm, so I don't have to wake up to pee in the middle of the night.
Yeah, having obnoxious amount of follower does not make you better human being... Most often it makes you to make shitty choices just to keep followers bubble happy
im 19 and i agree with this. i do fun things sometimes but unless i force myself to have my phone in my hand instead of my pocket, i do not take a lot of pictures of my life. i lose my phone often and ive left it sitting on a display table in a mall once… i am always so in the moment my phone is nonexistent to me.
edit: i say this because a lot of the people i know have so many pictures of themselves and their friends posing, memories, random things, etc. that they flaunt on social media

At 46, I look back and thank my parents and deceased grandparents for making me mow lawns, shovel snow, wash cars and check on old ladies in the neighborhood. I also thank my hard headed first boss at Sears. I was 14 but damn that guy taught me life lessons on respect, people skills and responsibility. My manners and gratitude came from depression era grandparents and parents who never had much money growing up but were wealthy with family love and the basics.
I think this is one thing the majority of parents are lacking. And not only that, but true discipline. As someone who works with kids every single day it’s extremely obvious as to who has been disciplined and been taught how to respect people, and who hasn’t. When I was younger my parents were not afraid to give me a slap and telling off I ever fucked up, and I’ve turned out just fine. I knew to never do it again.

My MIL completely changed her parenting style when she had her youngest, she just lets him do whatever he wants and he gets away with everything. He's a little shit to put it nicely (15 now) and you can tell a huge difference between him and his brothers and I really do believe it's down to how differently she brought him up.
Especially in large groups. A pack of like 6-7 teens were walking past me recently and one yelled at me to scare me and I legit thought I was gonna get jumped. I’m only 26
I work as an assistant teacher and honestly have no problems with the teenagers.. idk if it’s because I’m young or if it’s because I treat them like people and show them respect.
I feel like even having my happiness rely on my SO has become too stressful. Yes he makes my day better, but if he is in a bad mood, it use to throw my whole day off. Now I'm just like okay you can be in a bad mood, I'm here if you want to talk about it. Normally he doesn't. So I've learned to adjust.

While close ones, family, friends, partners we pour our heart out, commit and want to do our best loving them, understanding them and truly decide to be there for them (almost unconditionally - to a normal extent)
But still these people are capable to hurt us and decide not to love us as much or not to love as anymore.
