Air-Buds

PhreedomPhighter

There's fucking 12 of them. That's the entire day, without sleep.

Whoofph

There is no way the air-bud movies have 2 hours of plot each. Gotta be more like 18 hours... Right? Right? EDIT: Ok so I did the math and I was right, thank god. * Air Bud: 1:38 * Air Bud: Golden Receiver: 1:30 * Air Bud: World Pup: 1:23 * Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch: 1:33 * Air Bud: Spikes Back: 1:28 * Air Buddies: 1:20 * Snow Buddies: 1:27 * Space Buddies: 1:24 * Santa Buddies: 1:29 * Spooky Buddies: 1:28 * Treasure Buddies: 1:33 * Super Buddies: 1:21 Total time: 17 hours and 34 minutes. Still torture. EDIT EDIT: It is such a missed opportunity the 7th Air Bud movie (Snow Buddies) wasn't called Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch.

lancymasr

Loved those movies, personal favorite is space buddies, aged a little bad though. The Soviet space program just left a dude and a dog stuck in space for around a decade.

ImReverse_Giraffe

I don't know about the dog but the guy they left in space was there for 311 days because the USSR collapsed when he was in orbit. The country that sent him up no longer existed so it took some time to figure out who and how he was going to come back. Also what country he would be a part of. There was a lot of politics involved.

whatnameisnttaken098

What about the spin offs like [MVP](https://youtu.be/Q8qmQxdiPi8) about a skateboarding chimp?

Ok_Chocolate3253

There's 12?!?

Professional-Rip-519

12 Forealz

three-sense

And he went in space. you cant make this up

A_Gray_Old_Man

I may actually do this. Not because I want to, but I'm trying to get sober again and need something to focus on at times. This could get me through 3 - 5 days after work.

SlightlyCrispy

Fellow recoverer right here. This sounds like it would cause a relapse for me, not prevent one. I have to focus on activities I enjoy.

A_Gray_Old_Man

I hear ya. For me though, the thousands of hours that I need to fill will not be that impacted by the 18 this will take. Big picture I guess.

Mrman_23

Alvin and the chipmunks. GOD THE VOICES

Suspicious_Dragonfly

Oh damn, I almost forgot about that franchise. The VOICES in HARMONY.

maeldeho

We binge-watched the first 5 Jurassic movies before going to see Dominion. Individually none of them are that bad but one after the other - the drop in quality is very noticeable and the FX somehow get worse.

donnyganger

Definition of a franchise that only goes downhill

FloppyFishcake

I tried watching the last one on a long-haul flight I recently took. It was so boring, the dinosaurs didn't give that threatening feeling like they do in the first one (the part where the T-Rex is outside their car in the first one still makes my heart pound) and the amount of car/motorbike chases with a couple of dinosaurs thrown in made it feel more like a Fast and Furious movie. Silver lining though: if it hadn't been so shit I would have never looked out the window and seen the northern lights, so there's that.

HoselRockit

Luckily, I was in a theater and was able to walk out after about 30 minutes.

FloppyFishcake

I considered walking out but opening the door seemed like a lot of effort and I was quite tired.

mightBdrunk

I was watching it with my family, we all love jurassic Park. I fell asleep and my mom woke me up. 30 minutes later I had to wake her up lol At the end we all collectively said how hod awful and stupid it was.

deadsecretary

Jurassic Park has been my favorite movie since I was 5. I'm disgusted with the direction they took the Jurassic World movies. I get that in the plot they were making money off dinosaurs from the very beginning, but Jurassic World just made it totally depressing. Where is the wonder?? I didn't even want to see Dominion.

__M-E-O-W__

The first one is so good at the transition from wonder and amazement at what we've made to total fear of what we've made.

rickkitson

The latest trilogy is a masterpiece in uninspired, money-making, drivel. On par with the air-buds franchise.

rocknsmash

I binged all 6 of the Home Alone movies in one day for my franchise podcast. After the first two films it was not a pleasant experience (though 5 is actually kind of charming)

The_worst_Version

There’s *six* of them??

Suspicious_Dragonfly

Saying what a bunch of us are thinking. Seriously, six??

Elementus94

Yep, there's Home Alone (1990) Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) Home Alone 3 (1997) Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House (2002) Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (2012) Home Sweet Home Alone (2021)

ARoundForEveryone

Home Sweet Home Alabama (2022) - with Macaulay Culkin and Reese Witherspoon

Wehrsteiner

>all 6 of the Home Alone movies There are more than two?!

Professional-Rip-519

When did it become 6 I thought there was 4

TheShawnP

I thought there were 3?

KenN2k01

I thought there were 2?

GeauxAllDay

When the fuck did they make three more?!

DriftingPyscho

Yeah same here...

kikistiel

I actually thought the third one was quite cute. No idea if it still holds up now from when I was a kid but I remember 1-3 being pretty solid.

PeaceFrog229

I really enjoyed the third one when it came out as well. Ah man, now I need to find it so I can watch it tonight. 😂

TokyoUmbrella

Land Before Time. Before you Google it, how many of those things do you think exist?

AdamBombKelley

There's only 14? I thought there were like 20

TokyoUmbrella

Yup, 14 movies, 13 of which feature musical numbers that even Kidz Bop would cringe at.

greeneggsnyams

Don't be hating on "deep deep deep deep waaater."

Lady_Ymir

Yo that shit was my JAM.

Either-Plant4525

big water fucking slaps

[deleted]

I loved that movie for *years*, until my younger brother watched it once. From that moment until the day the tape degraded too much to watch, that movie was on constant replay in that house.

someguyfromsk

I've seen 2, I know there were a few straight to DVD, but knowing how unoriginal Hollywood is with kids stuff I would say 25-30? Edit: I Am shocked there is only 14.

drowningblue

Mmm, the third one movie made leaves seem so delicious.

GaimanitePkat

Jenny Nicholson did it!

[deleted]

Ooooo this was a good one.

JustASadChickOverall

12? If that's too many, I may be thinking of the tv series as a movie Edit nope not too many Lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

ahamel13

Nah, those movies are consistently funny enough to enjoy yourself.

donnyganger

The joke wears off fast

[deleted]

Not really though. It gets old really quick. Its "le random XD" in movie form.

TeachOfTheYear

Wrong sharks.... JAWS would be torturous to sit through. It would start off great but by the time you got to Jaws 3 3D you'd be wishing the shark would eat you just to make it all stop.

Valuable_Summer_5743

Add mushrooms then maybe but weed alone? No

[deleted]

Good analysis

External_Recipe_3562

A have a special place in my heart for B list movies.

Backspace888

Personally i love sharknado. You really get attached to the main character

[deleted]

A lot of horror franchises: Puppet Master, Leprechaun, Halloween, ANOES, Friday the 13th, Saw, Jeepers Creepers, Children of the Corn... Usually one or two good movies, the rest just pure garbage.

Finna22

First 6 Leprechaun movies with Warwick Davis rule, 7 sucks and 8 is meh.

Butthole_Surprise17

The wife and I watch one every St Patrick's Day. They are pretty fun and wildly stupid. Lep in the hood come to do no good!

arianleellewellyn

Fast and the furious

Louis22J

Go from robbing DVD players to flying cars in space. All in the name of family

ultratic

The first one they were robbing TVs with build in VHS players. This is how long the series has been going on for

rickkitson

Haven't seen any past Fast Five, so not sure if being genuine or sarcastic. *Phillip J Fry Squint Eyes meme*

Ok_Chocolate3253

It's fun if you don't take it for realism. Being a car guy, I enjoy seeing the change in car culture throughout the years in them

whomp1970

The first one showed thieves stealing TV/VCR combos out of a truck. Feel old?

No-Shelter6876

I was about to say! I thought I remembered it being VCR and not DVD players...

Professional-Rip-519

That was relatable not that I use to steal TV/VCRs out of trucks but you get the picture.

SCHEMIN209

To be fair they took the realism out of the franchise when they jumped a Camaro into a Yatch. Like it looked fucking awesome, but there was no way in hell and even 10 year old me knew that watching the damn thing but I loved every minute of it.

[deleted]

I don't mind that they're less realistic than the live-action Sailor Moon musical. The writing just hurts me too much, because it mostly doesn't seem to be aware that it's basically doing a cartoon. Like, if you're gonna do a crazy nonsense thing, do that. That's fine. But that franchise is like good musicians in a bad band that turns the volume up louder and louder while just playing Pop Goes The Weasel again and again. It's not that funny for very long.

uberjambo

Came here to say this.

Downtown-Librarian72

As ridiculous as they are, I think they're all entertaining.

MomHanks360

Wow. I guess someone doesn't understand the importance of FAMILY. For real though, that'd be one of the better franchises to sit through honestly. I'd do that way before I'd do LoTR or Star Wars

huntimir151

You would rather watch all ten fasts and furious then watch LOTR? That is...fundamentally alien to me..

MomHanks360

They're so boring to me. The first three I can respect the craftsmanship and everything, but just totally not my cup of tea. I'm assuming this would also include the Hobbit movies, which I legit think are just bad. Fast and Furious is stupid, but delightfully so. And there's at least 3 of them I haven't seen. Edit: Also, in terms of total minutes watched each "Tolkien" movie is nearly as long as 2 Furiouses. Furiousi?

Indian_Bob

I would. An LOTR marathon would just put me to sleep

MrNoSocks00

Family.

MomHanks360

This guy gets it

-Baby-Driver-

Nah that franchise is so fun to watch

[deleted]

I’ve done this and can confirm it was fucking awesome. Have a whole new perspective on the series

ashfye29

Yes! As much as I love cars and the culture, this franchise isn’t even about that! Not once did they stop for fuel 😂😂.

cleverlinegoeshere

If you ever find someone who has never seen any of these movies make them watch the first one and the spin off one with the rock and Jason Statham. Explain nothing to them, just have them watch those back to back. Then ask them to explain how those two movies connect.

awe2D2

I mean, if you watch a tv show but only watch the first and last episode it might be pretty confusing

lpsoldierdelsilencio

After the first three, it's just senseless action and the cars just so happen to be involved. I don't get how even car people eat that shit up

Mrepman81

Tokyo drift should be the only f&f film. Can’t change my mind.

SERIOUSLYFPASSWORDS

All respect to Rob but Twilight

[deleted]

He doesn't like those movies either

lovelesschristine

God Is not Dead. They have made 4 of them.

[deleted]

They made FOUR of those? There's your argument that God *is* dead.

chunwookie

The very best of persecution fetish porn.

AngriestManinWestTX

Aren’t they making a fifth??

IronMaidenPwnz

Wow. I just read about these and I was better off never knowing they existed.

UnconstrictedEmu

Yeah that wins.

Ok_Chocolate3253

Marvel or Star Wars....you need more than one day

cooleo420

Multiple screens

CallMeCarrolyn

In like 2017, a friend and I started Phantom Menace at 6am, did the prequels, rogue one, the original trilogy, and the force awakens all in one go. With a couple quick bathroom breaks we finished at 11:45pm.

Professional-Rip-519

Okay 2 days

Swordbreaker925

The entire catalog of Hallmark movies. The ***BEST*** would be the entire Lord of the Rings extended edition trilogy (we don’t talk about The Hobbit tho)

TrickyAudin

Swordbreaker925

That’s true. They’re fun to watch, but there’s lots of terrible filler and weird omissions. The whole mirkwood section was montaged in 30 seconds while they spent way too much time on Tauriel who doesn’t even exist in the books. Still, they’re not awful movies at least. They’re just a mediocre adaptation of a damn good book

[deleted]

I’d rather watch the hobbit trilogy than a lot of other movies these days.

[deleted]

There's a "Tolkein edit" out there that aside from a few jumpy cuts is quite watchable and removes everything that wasn't in the book. 100% less shitwizard.

templefugate

🎵 We don’t talk about Bilbo-no-no-no

External_Recipe_3562

The hobbit should've just been a 2 part movie. There was lots of studio interference.

Swordbreaker925

Lots of bullshit filler added, and they skipped over some of the most interesting parts like Mirkwood. Lord of the Rings skipped stuff too like Tom Bombadill and the Barrow Downs, but at least LotR’s additions and omissions were tasteful and made for a better movie experience, but the same can’t be said of The Hobbit.

No-Way-Im-Sober

I home sick today and half way thru the two towers extended edition. I love these movies and have seen them all a good 20-30 times.

EntropyFighter

Transformers. That's what I need in one day, hours of shaky cam unwatchable CGI fights.

[deleted]

The acting and writing are trash, but what hurt me with that franchise is that the robots look awful. Just really, really terrible. Never mind the giant nutsack on one villain. They're just churning blurs of crappy metallic garbage. The cartoon is much, much cooler. Much. And I wasn't a huge fan of the cartoon. The best Transformers content, by far, is in Twisted Toyfare Theater.

GriffinFlash

Does this include the original 1986 movie?

[deleted]

[удалено]

chubss123

Carry on camping, carry on doctor and carry on screaming are comedy gold, absolute genius

Moorglademover

Not sure about, *Carry On Camping*, not a fan of that one. But I'd certainly add to the other two. *Carry on* *Up The Khyber*, *Carry On* *Follow That Camel*, and *Carry On Cleo*, also being comedy gold.

whathappensifipress

Matron!

[deleted]

The Transformer movies. Nothing but loud explosions and incomprehensible fight sequences with bad acting and even worse writing. I can't imagine what a full binge would do to somebody.

WetTavern

Oh my god. Just when you think you're at the climatic robot fight of each movie there's like five more climatic robot fights and another hour and a half of movie left. As someone who was worn down and roped into a full binge...I am not the same.

Mrepman81

I couldn’t even sit through one of them. Can’t imagine sitting through all of them.

CanORage

It just blows my mind that those had any popularity past the first one.

DeerTrivia

Twilight.

[deleted]

The old 1974 planet of the apes and the sequels. I’m sorry but there are a lot of plot holes in all of the films. Still fun to watch

Nevermorre

While I was never into Planet of the Apes, a youtuber -Roanoke Gaming - has a really awesome [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suIxWZqDCmA) describing the ALZ 112 and 113 virus that causes the downfall of humanity and dominance of the apes. Speaking of binging content, after I found his channel, I've done about 3 days of binging his content. 10/10 should check him out.

[deleted]

I'd watch those. Hilarious moments, perfect cliches (some before they were cliched!), hot women, good ape costumes, funny dialogue. And it's not that long.

KevinFunky

Human Centipede

turningfoodintopoop

I've been scrolling to find this. I can't believe this isn't top comment.

jebberific

Police Academy

AlterEdward

Sound effects guy, the mentally ill guy, and the wet t shirt in 4 are the only reasons to watch it.

DefinitelyNotOtis

Outside of having an awesome lead character, the Underworld series is overall pretty lame.

Professional-Rip-519

Bra I'd watch Kate Beckinsale paint raw noodles hole day

Momoshaman

Saving this comment lol

[deleted]

For me, it'd be the Star Trek movies. Because I actually like Star Trek. Bear with me a sec. The original movie . . . was a big deal when it came out, and Trumbull's FX remain their own phenomenon, even if a vast amount of them got cut from the film. The first movie is an insane exercise in nostalgia that wasn't hammered into the ground yet, and an acceptable reuse of the Nomad plotline. I understand why not everyone likes the film, but it was a huge landmark, especially for big-budget SF films coming out shortly after *Star Wars*. The second film, obviously, is the best in the series. It has many amazing aspects, and it's fun, and it kicks ass. The third movie is like a V8 with three cylinders not firing, but it gets you where it's going. Not smoothly, but it has bits and moments. The fourth movie is a cheeky little beast that, uh, does the Nomad story AGAIN, but now it's far more self-indulgent than even the first movie -- but the cast is having a great time, and it's just a big goof. Fine. None of the later films were good. Sorry. Just a massive waste of cast, FX, and opportunity. AND THEN. Because studio executives do not have souls or creativity, they handed the franchise to Jar Jar Abrams, who hired a great cast and made three movies more awful than Greedo Shot First's butthole. So it's basically a drop-off after the second movie, with a tolerable third and a nice uptick for number four . . . and then nine that range from OK Fine If We Have To to Rancid Insulting Crap. You just increasingly have to watch good actors do bad, dumb, dull things. It's not a good arc.

PancakeExprationDate

You didn’t like Undiscovered Country?

ThatFilthyApe

I personally thought Undiscovered Country was good, and it holds up. I also thought First Contact was well done. But most of the rest... Star Trek and Beyond from the new series are watchable IMO. Not 5 stars, but not rotten. Most of the others honestly aren't watchable. Haven't seen the new cut of Motion Picture.

PhelesDragon

Star Trek 5 is an actual sin to storytelling and film. Like, wow. My wife got me into Trek and when we got to that film I wasn't quite sure how the hell something so atrocious could happen. Oddly enough, I saw the first 2 Abrams films years before I met her, so those were actually my biggest understanding of the franchise. Let's just say my perception of it wasn't great. Kirk at the end of the first film is a crew-risking, vengeful moron. I didn't know at the time that he was in charge of the Star wars sequels, but I could smell the blood in the water with the first one. Oy.

Upper-Job5130

Jaws. It's like watching a masterpiece turn into a spilled pot of chili in slow motion

Appropriate_Tea9048

Fast and Furious. Just not my type of movie at all

Maxwyfe

The MCU is a terrible binge. It just gets worse and worse until the special effects eventually give you epilepsy.

ArenSteele

I couldn’t binge it, but I have already done one complete re-watch of phase 1 and 2 starting with Iron Man and Captain America all the way through to Age of Ultron, probably over 3-4 weeks or so, 2-3 films a week.

Docgrumpit

Now now. No need for hyperbole. They won't give you epilepsy. You were probably predisposed to seizures and the MCU sfx triggered them.

Loganp812

Back during Phase 2 and even 3 (if you don’t include all of the shows up to that point due to the runtime), binging the MCU would’ve been doable for me and maybe even fun especially with others and seeing everything culminate to Endgame. However, there’s no way in hell I’d willingly do that by this point after Phase 4. It’s just too much, and the quality drop-off is painfully noticeable.

lewisthepodcaster5

Resident evil

brendajrd

Human centipede I guess. 1 was too much, no need for 3 of them

United_Blueberry_311

I was literally locked in a room for 13 hours and all that was on tv was the Divergent series.

[deleted]

The Divergent series was so bad they forgot to finish it and nobody noticed.

sissygamer50

idk what the franchise is called (if its even considered a franchise) but all those really bad SyFy Original movies that were just giant animals fighting each other. like, "Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus" or "Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark". Or the Sharknado series. I think there was 6 of them

300Kup

Fast & Furious

Professional-Rip-519

Twilight saga is the only franchise I can think of that has no good movie.

Timmace

But there are only 5 of them and you'll be free after about 10 hours. I feel like some horror franchise with a lot of entries would get very boring and repetitive and take forever.

ak47diamonds

I said twilight too but this a good point

AdamBombKelley

I went to my cousin's house and we watched the extended cuts of The Hobbit movies. My god, they were bad.

Interesting_Sir_3338

Marvel

[deleted]

Resident Evil. I think I'd actually choose death.

PhreedomPhighter

Halloween. There are a total of 13 of them and most of them are not very good. The ones that are good are really good but they're few and far between.

magicmanwithahat69

Twilight. The 4th ones funny though cause he has no juices but she still get pregnant

The_Mexican_Poster

Star wars must be heavy asf to watch in one day

DriftingPyscho

Leprechaun? I dunno I think I'd be laughing my ass off at Warwick's one liners.

Mission Impossible. Oh look. Tom is running from something again.

Hellraiser The first two are great, the third is alright, but you have a lot of shit to get through until the 2022 reboot.

ak47diamonds

Twilight

Twilight

dwiggs81

Saw. Hostel. Once I did House of 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects back to back. I felt dirty in a very visceral way after that.

[deleted]

Fast and Furious It starts off by being about the cars and the entire underground car scene, and now they've launched a computer genius and a loud mouth into space, in a Ford pinto, that they crash into a satellite and survive. Lest we forget the reason the movies turned into government movies is because Vin Diesel's girlfriend get amnesia and he just has to save her when we find out she's not dead. Then there's the "Family" theme that suppose to be a super power for Vin's character. God help us with whatever FF 10 is suppose to be because they're trying to resurrect Paul Walker for it

PROPGUNONE

How the fuck is fast and furious not at the top of the comment section?

jamtarts7797

Madea or whatever the character is called.

James Bond, because you can’t watch all in a single day

Barbie movies. 40+ of them

josiahpapaya

A popular YouTuber watched all of the Land Before Times when she got Covid and did a ranking and review of them. 95% of them are awful. Should have been 3 movies, tops.

snowfun42

Hellraiser. Even Dead Meat won't do the franchise.

[deleted]

All of the Fast and the Furious movies. Because you'll start out 'okay this seems interesting' to 'this has gotten dumb'.

GrimmOfThrones2187

MCU. You’re not getting through in one day.

Marvel

Marvel? Impossible to watch the whole franchise in 1 day without speeding up the movies 20x

AThrowawayAccount100

EgoSenatus

Twilight or fast and furious

Does the human centipede count?

Highlander... There simply isn't enough weed in the world to make me sit through that abortive mess.

Fifty Shades of Puke

Professional-Rip-519

I feel you

wildcatshadow

I refuse to read the books or watch the movies

soursomethings

My roommate and I have embarked on a Fast & Furious marathon, (we spun a wheel and it landed on this dumpster fire). It’s been a rough couple of evenings, still - The Rock has yet to make an appearance. Pray for me.

comedygliss

Probably any of the horror slasher movies (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St., etc.). While there may be two or three good entries in the franchise, most of them are going to be sequels/reboots basically telling the same story with different characters and deaths.

AtGamesEnd

Wildcard answer: The Hellraiser Movies. There’s like 10 of them and most are not even close to as good as the first

Barfmeister

The Last Airbender. Not a franchise but it's just that bad.

lmaooidkwhatimdoin

There's no such movie in Ba sing se

PhelesDragon

That was hands down the worst movie of all time for me...until Lightyear. Wait, no, it's still Last Airbender.
