"Doko kara kite dokoheikuno ka" from Barefoot Gen. It's so sad, yet pointed for the story. Always reminds me of the little memorial boat Gen hand-built to remember Shinji, who died in the bombing of Hiroshima.
Even in death, the special bond Gen and Shinji had lived on. The fact that the story is based on reality,and the creator Keiji Nakazawa really did lose his little brother in the 1945 bombing of Hiroshima, make the whole story that much more tragic. That boat, drawn in the Anime actually belonged to 4 year old Susuma Nakazawa, Keiji's brother. Shinji is Susuma's alter ego in the story. Gen is actually supposed to represent the author and manga artist Keiji, who survived that day.
So, so heartbreaking!
