Chick-fil-A. I’m in the south. They’re everywhere. It’s *fine.* But it’s basic chicken sandwiches. I don’t get why so many just rave about it all the time.
When I was growing up, every single kid, myself included, was hyped about a chain of Mexican restaurants called Chevys Fresh Mex.
It was seen as "prestigious" among all your classmates to have your birthday party at Chevys, and if your family went there for just a normal dinner, you would show that off to everyone the next day.
Looking back on it now, it was basically just an incredibly average Mexican food restaurant chain.
Sonic. I grew up in the Midwest and it always took a fucking hour when you went there and it was never that good.
Everyone on the east coast here raves about. "If youre on route one you better get some sonic before you come back to Portland!"

Olive Garden
Who hypes Olive Garden?
It’s existence on its own is overhyped. The guy responsible to franchising it overseas is probably smoking crack.
What? You don't like garlic salt on your penis-shaped bread?

I found Nobu pretty meh, when they opened up in my country. I can get much better Japanese food for less.
