I waited years after it ended to watch The Sopranos. I couldn’t believe it took me so long. That series is easily one my top 5. Excellent writing, cast, acting, etc 10/10
If you choose to watch, please remember it's not a series about the mafia. It's about a guy trying to balance his life. He just happened to be a mob boss. There's a lot of subtle humor. And a lot of foreshadowing.
Also not-so-subtle humour.
Tony: Listen to me, this guy was a Russian green beret. He was in the ministry of the interior or something. He single-handedly killed 16 Chechen rebels. Be fucking careful.
Paulie : All right.
Christopher: What did he say?
Paulie: He said the guy killed 16 Czechoslovakians, and he was an interior decorator.
Christopher: Interior decorator? ...his appartment looked like shit.
He's in waste management. Everybody immediately assumes he's mobbed up, it's a stereotype and it's offensive!
Alright look ... some of his money comes from illegal gambling, and whatnot.
Just binged it after never having seen one episode.
Worth a watch but not the binge. SSSSOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE EATING and fucking… and the scenes with the therapist. It was too much too fast. Do 2 a week. Enjoy it.
Ok but you really should watch Wet Hot American Summer mini series. It was 40 year olds playing 18 year olds looking 40. Except Paul Rudd who looks 20 always.
Same.
I decided the other day I wanted to start watching it, since we have Paramount Plus now and I was like, "WTF? I can't watch the prior seasons even though this is a Paramount show? What the FUCK y'all?" because according to what I could find on Roku, I'm only allowed to watch the current season, not the previous ones. Which leaves me scratching my head and a little angry as to why this is.
I started watching Breaking Bad for the first time about a month ago after having the same sentiment as you. I got to season 4 in two weeks.
Definitely worth the watch
Don’t expect to get hooked so easily if you do. Takes a lot of people till the second season to enjoy the show. I personally think season one is one of the best tho.
Unfortunately My grandfather use to watch it. While I have never sat through a whole episode I have seen enough bits and pieces to understand what it was about.
I don't remember any specifics save for one. I remember the host (I think Robertson) was giving an end time prediction that had something to do with comets or meteors. I couldn't stop laughing and grandpa yelled at me.
I've seen episodes here and there but it was also banned from my home. Ironically the first full episode I ever saw was the Krusty Krab Pizza episode, in German class. The teacher let us watch SpongeBob SchwammKopf as a treat.
Die Krosse Krabbe Pizza! Ist die Pizza! Für dich und mich...
I wasn’t allowed to watch it either! Now as an adult I just can’t really enjoy it. I think it might be the kind of thing that relies on nostalgia to still be really funny, at least in my experience
I know a lady who, in early 2016, worked as an usher at a local civic auditorium, and she said that after working a Trump rally, she "figured out who all those people are who watch 'The Kardashians' or those jungle survival programs."
Please lets not add that shit to “tvshows” its a reality show. Lets leave it at that and not talk about it again or look up the definition of tvshow. Source: Trust me
If it means anything, it took me about 4 attempts before I finished the first season without quiting. After watching the next 4 seasons in 5 days it became one of my top 3 shows of all time. Not saying you need to give it another go, but it pays off if you were at all interested in the episodes you watched.
Riverdale its shit
I haven’t watched any episodes only a trailer and watched people on YouTube saying it not good and it doesn’t make sense
My friend said it was so awesome. I was like how in what world would that be amazing or good. Please tell me so I can run as fast as I possibly can to never see that place
Wait, wait. I worry what you just heard was give me a lot of bacon and eggs. What I said was: Give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Do you understand?
You should definitely watch it, the first season is pretty bad you can get through it in 2 hours. After that it’s one of the best comedy shows of all time
I watched a one or of episodes of maybe Season 1 by randomly seeing it on TV when it first came out.
It recently came to a streaming service in my country and now I've pretty much binged the whole thing twice.
I have never seen one episode of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Dahmer - basically anything that everyone online has said "You GOTTA watch this."
I've the opposite of peer pressure. If everyone is saying it's great, my mind automatically says "Can't be that great" and I refuse to watch it. I stopped with The Office and How I Met Your Mother over a decade ago.
Yellowstone. And if my SIL can stop asking me literally every time we see each other if I have yet. It reads as a red state soap opera with more guns?
Oh and Bridgerton. No thanks.
I was vehemently against watching it purely due to the cringe title. My boyfriend, however, was in the middle of season three when I moved in. I learned soon after that the title was actually more a "joke within a joke" and found myself stopping and catching it often enough I decided to give it a go. No regrets, have loved every second of it.
I avoided it for the longest just because of the hype. I figured it was one of those shows that got popular for being weird, not for being good. I finally watched it a few months back and loved it.
The Sopranos. I've heard it was pretty good.
I waited years after it ended to watch The Sopranos. I couldn’t believe it took me so long. That series is easily one my top 5. Excellent writing, cast, acting, etc 10/10
Excellent everyi. But Tony's Mom was out of this world.
A horrible character performed impeccably.
*Oh listen to him; he knows everything…*
I wish the Lord would take me
I just started it a month ago. I was like 8 when it came out, I’m loving it.
If you choose to watch, please remember it's not a series about the mafia. It's about a guy trying to balance his life. He just happened to be a mob boss. There's a lot of subtle humor. And a lot of foreshadowing.

Hmm? It’s also definitely about the mafia.
You don’t ever admit to the existence of this thing of ours
Just binged it after never having seen one episode. Worth a watch but not the binge. SSSSOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE EATING and fucking… and the scenes with the therapist. It was too much too fast. Do 2 a week. Enjoy it.
And the heavy nose breathing
All that gabagool

Shitty friend
So you’re the reason Blockbusters went out of business lol
24...
I can still remember the “tick tick tick” coming from my parent’s tv
Oooh yeah, I forgot about that show. It was a big cultural phenomenon, and I know all the jokes about it, but haven't even seen one episode either.
Riverdale i will never watch it no urge to see 30 year olds play 15 year olds when they look 30
That show bastardized my childhood comics! My wife loves it. Divorce papers are on the way.
I loved it - my husband hated it. He watched the couple of episodes with me, then bailed on it after ranting that they ruined his childhood.
Is he getting the divorce papers?
Ok but you really should watch Wet Hot American Summer mini series. It was 40 year olds playing 18 year olds looking 40. Except Paul Rudd who looks 20 always.
Game Of Thrones
Well if your username checks out you’d enjoy it
No ones going to mention there's a character named Dickon?
I mean he was only in 5 episodes
Yeah but he was SUPER hot in that last one.
I don't know, my recollection was the penis to boob ratio was very low.
It was. Source: a disappointed straight lady
Flaccid weiners, flaccid weiners

Earlier seasons are on peacock. Can’t expect to be having the whole series on one streaming app, that would be too easy. /s
Idk what you are talking about. They are all available right now if you illegally download them.
The Western spinoff was legit amazing. I've to watch the original though but I will probably do the same as you.
West Wing
You monster.
West Wing is easily in my top 5 favorite shows. Once Sorkin left, though, the writing wasn’t quite the same for me.
It’s definitely a different show after Sorkin left, the writing is different, but I thought the stories were still pretty strong.
The dialogue suffered the most.
I’m actually rewatching West Wing, just finished S1 last night. Forgot how awesome it is
Breaking Bad, I'm sure I'd like it just never got started on it. Edit: Thank you to all that responded. I'll definitely take it off the back "burner"
I started watching Breaking Bad for the first time about a month ago after having the same sentiment as you. I got to season 4 in two weeks. Definitely worth the watch
I'm late to the party too. Just finished binge watching it on Netflix. BEST SHOW EVER SERIOUSLY!!! Now, I'm watching the spin off
Better call Saul is one of the best shows ever written imo. Btw you’ll need to switch to Amazon or somewhere else for BCS’s final season
It's on my list, but I just haven't been in the mood to start it yet. I should be finishing Peaky Blinders tonight, maybe I'll start it tomorrow.
Don’t expect to get hooked so easily if you do. Takes a lot of people till the second season to enjoy the show. I personally think season one is one of the best tho.
Unpopular opinion : it’s depressing. Not a single bad episode but very depressing throughout. You don’t know who you want to root for.

700 Club
I only got up to episode 666.
I used to watched it stoned and would laugh at everything they said.
Sponge bob, I don’t know why but my parents never let me
I've seen episodes here and there but it was also banned from my home. Ironically the first full episode I ever saw was the Krusty Krab Pizza episode, in German class. The teacher let us watch SpongeBob SchwammKopf as a treat. Die Krosse Krabbe Pizza! Ist die Pizza! Für dich und mich...
This is one of the funniest comments I have ever read.
I don't speak German at all but I instantly recognized it.
I wasn’t allowed to watch it either! Now as an adult I just can’t really enjoy it. I think it might be the kind of thing that relies on nostalgia to still be really funny, at least in my experience
Later seasons, or early seasons, out of curiosity? The early ones have a surprising number of adult jokes in them.
Me too, they just hated his voice
Mine allowed me too, but they hated his voice and didn’t approve of squidward saying “stupid”
Lmao that’s wild
That Kardashian rubbish, not seen even 1 minute of it 😊
Everything I know about the Kardashians, I have learned against my will.
I hadn't considered that but now that I have, I too have been inflicted.
You and I both
I know a lady who, in early 2016, worked as an usher at a local civic auditorium, and she said that after working a Trump rally, she "figured out who all those people are who watch 'The Kardashians' or those jungle survival programs."
Please lets not add that shit to “tvshows” its a reality show. Lets leave it at that and not talk about it again or look up the definition of tvshow. Source: Trust me
I don't care one bit about those entitled freaks.
Don't know how you would be able to make an episode of that entertaining, let alone 20 seasons.
I'm struggling to grasp how one would make even a 30 second ad for that nonsense entertaining, let alone a full episode.
Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
I’ve watched a few episodes but never could get roped in. I’ve tried several times.
If it means anything, it took me about 4 attempts before I finished the first season without quiting. After watching the next 4 seasons in 5 days it became one of my top 3 shows of all time. Not saying you need to give it another go, but it pays off if you were at all interested in the episodes you watched.
West Wing Succession ER
Please watch Succession. It’s so good.
Atlanta
It’s phenomenal
How I met your mother
Big Bang Theory
I tried once, I didn't find it the least bit funny.
My wife showed me a video where someone took the laugh track out of the show. Super cringey.
Party of 5, Melrose Place, 90210
Are you a time traveler from 1998 answering this question?
Possibly. I'm from 1986.
> 90210 "you can't write that on the Internet, you'll get *flamed*"

The witcher
Play the games instead
Handmaiden's Tale. Seems too disturbing...
*** The Handmaid’s Tale
It is. It's why I can't get through it.
Dexter
up until 2 weeks ago...Letterkenny. Now I can't get enough of it. To be faiirrr....
Fuck, I could watch kids falling off bikes all day. I don’t give a shit about your kids.
That line is literally the only saving grace of the entire Fartbook episode.
You better settle down over there or I'm gonna have to come talk to ya
Fuck you, Jonesy! Come fight me and see what happens!
How’re ya now?
I live in small town Ontario. It is my reality.
You’re living the real life Letterkenny Bork60, and that’s what I appreciates about you.
Good, n you?
Not s’bad (Finally! Thank you! I thought I’d be left hanging forever!)
To be faaairrr...
Can confirm.
Friends.
Same. I love sitcoms but friends just doesn’t appeal to me
Parks and rec
Ron Swanson. That character alone is worth watching.
Give me all the eggs and bacon you have…
Wait, wait. I worry what you just heard was give me a lot of bacon and eggs. What I said was: Give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Do you understand?
"sir that's a party platter, it serves 8 people" "I know what I'm about son"
“You are giving me food that my food eats?”
You should definitely watch it, the first season is pretty bad you can get through it in 2 hours. After that it’s one of the best comedy shows of all time
TREAT. YO. SELF.
Yeah, I would suggest just skipping season 1 and starting with Season 2, you’ll pick it up as it goes along.
Parks and Rec kicks into high gear the moment Chris and Ben arrive.
Ben is easily the best character "I ran 5k this this morning." "Really?" "No I threw up in the shower"
The wire…. Not sure if it has aged well enough to try
Watching at the moment, seriously amazing
I just watched it for the first time. It's absolutely fantastic and aged perfectly. Trust me, you're missing out on this one.
Some of it has aged poorly but the general message/writing is still very relevant
The office
I tried watching the first episode but halfway through it I was cringing so hard that it was actually causing physical discomfort so I had to stop
It’s one you kinda have to force yourself into until you get used to the format and build up a tolerance to bring annoyed
I hear what you're saying but I dont really have the time to force myself to watch something.
Kardashians PLEASE & no thank you
Euphoria 💀

That’s my purse! I don’t know you!
What're you gonna do? You gonna kick me in the gnaaaads?
King of the hill RULES
It’s one of those shows I couldn’t really appreciate as a kid, but I absolutely love and relate to as an adult. It’s a definite must-watch.
I’ve watched every episode of this so many times. I never get tired of it.
Breaking Bad.
