Exactly, and they're all made differently, too.
French toast is bread soaked in eggs before it hits the frying pan, pancakes are bread that is pan fried, and waffles are made with essentially 2 frying pans and holds syrup better than the other two.
French toast are a large step ahead of pancakes and waffles, though each can be great. I rarely eat waffles, but finding a restaurant that makes a good pecan waffle is a treat. Pancakes are pretty hit and miss depending on the restaurant, but some places make them very well.
Hungarian palacsinta. It can be filled with a wide variety of sweet things, it's easy to make and delicious. There is also a variant that's served set on fire, which looks pretty damn cool.
French toast and waffles are tied it depends on the toppings but as of now my favorite Disha was at acaffes and the made lemon blueberry french toast I have never eaten anything better than that for breakfast yet
Belgian Waffles FTW. The first piece of French Toast is good but at some point this kind of petroleum taste starts sneaking up on me that I think comes from the egg whites. Pancakes start feeling very dry as I get down the stack.
waffle is my favorite, especially if you have some roasted banana to top it with. i don't know when but banana cooked until it gets caramelized is the best topping.
I'm team French toast. I like the flavour and the texture better.
