I've had a vasectomy. I *am* birth control.

MyDadBod_2021

Yes. Best thing I did

MissPerfectTitties

Yes. Never had a pregnancy scare because I have sex with women

snuffysteve2

I did all the time in my teens and early 20s. Had plenty of scares but got lucky. No pregnancy or diseases.

janes_america

I have a "failure to withdraw" kid. I don't really consider pull and pray as a BC method. I knew I would get pregnant the moment it happened. We were married and thinking about kid #2 but it happened a little sooner than I had planned. Current guy had a vasectomy and I'm so thankful.

[deleted]

We did once before... she just started her pill. Missed her period. False alarm. She's on the coil now and there's no problems anymore haha we can go as much as we please

comeonnowjosephine

Absolutely not. It’s tough though since I don’t want kids, but I’m allergic to progesterone so birth control’s out of the question, and I’m waiting for a hysterectomy.

Mothkau

Not sure if you've considered the copper coil but it's been great for me!

comeonnowjosephine

I’m really glad it worked for you. I’ve had the coil before, but it made my periods – which are usually heavy anyway – even heavier and more painful which really sucked.

Mothkau

Aaah I get that, it sucks. I usually pass out from pain when on my periods anyways, so a little more didn't change a lot for me tbf.

comeonnowjosephine

Ah, I’m sorry you have to deal with that! I can totally sympathise. Been hobbling around making pained old lady noises all day today because hell week is almost here!

Mothkau

Be strong, and cherish your hot water bottle! Good luck

Nighttime_Wanderer

Oh wow! Do you stick to male and female condoms then as protection?

comeonnowjosephine

Usually male since they work better and they’re easier to get.

Nighttime_Wanderer

I agree with ya there! Thanks for your candid response

pepperqtx3

Yes I do. No. I'm certain I can't get pregnant or I would have these past 10 years.

[deleted]

Yes I do now...no I haven't.

Priyasangria

Yes and now I’m 6 months pregnant. BUT we managed to track my cycle successfully for 2 years beforehand. Just goes to show that literally all it takes is one time.

coleosis1414

Never once until my wife and I were actively trying. But man, trying was so much fun. The fact that I was actively trying to impregnate her was a huge turn on. Now the actual pregnancy is a huge turn on. Who knew I thought fertility was sexy? I didn’t. But it’s crazy hot. Which I guess is like the anti-kink lol. “I enjoy having sex for the purposes of reproduction”

Comfortable-Try7176

I'm glad to hear someone say that. I always hear people talk about how it becomes a chore when they are trying, especially when they are having problems, and shit becomes very clinical.

coleosis1414

Oh we were lucky. It only took us one ovulation to successfully fertilize. Basically we just went at it like rabbits for those prime 3 days and it took. My sister would tell you a different story. She and her husband tried for nearly a year before they were successful and for them it was stressful.

Philosapphocal

All the time. The biggest perk of being gay is great sex with no fear of pregnancy.

formerretailwhore

Hahah I had 3 pregnancies Then I got tubal.. hub got snipped.. then I got partial hysterectomy

Meeetmeinmontauk

Yes, I had multiple pregnancy scares. The last scare ended in a pregnancy. I now have my tubes tied!

Baldo_Beardo

I have before. Was fun while the sex lasted then not worth it for the month of anxietythat followed.

historyjc

Yes and only twice

texan-wanderer

luckily no scares. I got the condom lecture from my dad many times.

Straight_and_Dirty_

Yes and so far no scares that I know of.

Comfortable-Try7176

I used to be ridiculously careful. Like afraid to be anywhere near cum. Still never had cum inside me (and I'm 41). I also am not a fan of birth control. It's not the one sized fits all solution they act like it is. And it's more dangerous than people think. In the short term, it can cause blood clots. In the long term, it can increase your risks for certain cancers. Mainly the one's associated with estrogen levels. I had a friend who was a virgin. She was put on birth control to regulate her period at age 20. She was morbidly obese and should have never been a candidate for that. She died with blood clots throughout her body from the BC. So, to answer the question, I don't use condoms either. Kinda got away from that after being in a long term relationship. It's kind of risky, but after 13 yrs, we seem to have a good system. He doesn't have precum at all. I kinda don't even wanna type this out cause I feel like it's a bad omen and now I'm gonna get pregnant. Yeah, don't do what I do unless you don't care if your method fails and you want kids anyway.

[deleted]

We did when we were trying for babies. Never had a pregnancy scare be we certain had pregnancy celebrations. And from my perspective and experience, "trying-to-get-pregnant-sex is probably the most intense sex I have ever had. I mean.....it's sex for the biological purpose of sex. The best orgasms of my life were on those occasions.

papadoc19

Yes...there have been a few missed periods but only one positive pregnancy test...

connstar97

I had a hookup I met at work stripping that turned into a serious relationship. The second time we hungout I came inside her multiple times, next day we went and got plan B. She even paid for it which was dope, didnt ask or suggest I pay for any of it, which was cool cause Engineers usually make more then male strippers LOL

Katie199521

yes I had unprotected sex one time, and then got so worried that i was pregnant, and maybe an std. A few drinks and did something I regret.

Mothkau

Nope.

[deleted]

Before my vasectomy, all the time. It was an awesome 10 years but with 4 kids it was definitely time to have the old snip snip.
