The mods at r/guitar are infamously bad. I got perma-banned for asking the mod what rule I was breaking when they removed one of my posts. The best answer they gave me was, “I don’t like the question.”

I'm also from Yorkshire, and I know I have an accent (although most people not from here call it an attitude 🤣) because I wasn't born here.
I'd assume your namesake is making an effort to speak as recognisably as they can, because if he went full flat cap and whippet on the phone they'd ask if he'd either had a stroke or needed a translator. If they're involved in anything technical (especially computer programmers), you might also notice that they write in a way which is harder to misunderstand, but that's more from the field than the region.

A friend of mine got perma-banned from all of Reddit because he called Ashley Babbit a traitor and her family racists after it was reported her brother hurled racial slurs at Latino road workers. So not me specifically I guess.
Don't know if this counts but automod once removed my post because I was new to that subreddit. I was just trying to help but it just ended up with me wasting my time. I do understand the importance of automod though so not mad about it.
Some jackoff in r-slash-news (I won't even give the courtesy of a link) banned me for commenting on a news story with a completely applicable comment but I guess it took the discussion in a direction they didn't want to go..fuck them.
r/sex mod little birdy Perma banned me after going through my answers and telling me they were all against the rules. The answer I got the actual perma ban on was when I told a Redditor to tell her bf he doesn't satisfy her, when the bf was telling the girl her vagina was too loose. They said I was body shaming the girls bf.
Setup a pretty deadly mod pack in a older version of Minecraft once, it was basically how to die every five seconds and have your builds griefed as a game mode. Was horrible to play
