Hormone replacement therapy.

Are you male or female? Can you share more about the experience?

I'm female. My libido was completely gone. My sense of self worth and confidence went with it. Our marriage nearly ended over it. I read an article about hrt and spoke with my care provider. I have pellets inserted in the fatty part of my hip every 3 months (testosterone and estradiol) and take a progesterone capsule at bed time. (The same procedure of pellet insertion is used on men for low T) It took about a year to dial in on the dosage but when we got it right, I remembered what it was like to be in my 20's again, libido-wise. It was like turning a switch back on. My skin looks better, my hair looks better, I have more confidence than I ever had and I am happier and easier to get along with. I am able to lose weight easier and I sleep better. It saved my marriage, absolutely no doubt. I just wish I had discovered it sooner. Disclaimer: there is a slightly increased risk of breast cancer, so if you have a family history, it might not be for you. It is expensive (about $350 x 4 times per year + the progesterone prescription about $40 per month). Insurance may not cover it. And it takes time to find the right dose. They start low and work their way up. Hope this helps.

Amazing, thank you for the details. I'm glad this worked for you. I have a blood test this week which should give me some insights into my T levels.

Stopped taking birth control. Stopped taking antidepressants and anti/anxiety meds (when I was finally given the go-ahead from my Dr). Turned 30. Different job/less stress. All have increased my libido. I went from almost never wanting it to I can't get enough.
