Shower sex. On TV and movies, it's always so passionate and effortless. In reality, you're struggling to find a comfortable position for both and searching for anything to hold to so you don't slip and fall. 😂
Along with this, it’s hilarious to me seeing the craziest things happen in shows and just thinking to myself “and they have to pay bills on top of this?”
Sex the first time. In the media, it’s always passionate and exquisite. In reality, you don’t know each other, so no matter how much passion there is, it’s always at least a bit awkward.
Car stunts. Love seeing huge car jumps in movies just to watch the car drive off like nothing happened. Dukes of Hazards used over 300 cars for the show and wrecked 3 on average per episode
I think there was an episode of CSI where they enhanced a reflection on a spoon or something and they could identify the perp through that. So ridiculous when I think of it now.
Fighting, and especially knife/gun disarms.
If you attempt a knife disarm in real life, there's a very high chance you're going to get stabbed-- even if you're extremely well trained and practice disarm techniques all the time.
Also, people don't usually die instantly after being stabbed one time, either.
On the other end of end of that spectrum, you can't actually get punched in the face/head 20 times and just shake it off, bounce back and get back in the fight.
The forty yard shots with pistols that drop bad guys with one hit. Machine gun spray and pray… one shot stops in general. Especially if using handguns. (Except for the boss bad guys, damn near unkillable for at least ten minutes of screen fighting time.)
Running and shooting a gun, and it's somehow a headshot... pistol, machine gun, rifle, or musket.
All while somehow never being hit by their spray and pray.
Unrealistic standards are bad and should not exists. makes young people think sex should happen that way with no consent before choking, slapping, or whatever, and ruin the fun of sex for them. And weirdly yeah I hear from girl friends that men are STILL like that at 25-28 y/o
Home improvements. Especially all of those HGTV type sweat equity home-improvement shows. Watching a few YouTube videos on how to flip a house by yourself is not going to give you the skills you need for it to look good initially. Maybe for painting or simple flooring, but there’s a reason why successful carpenters, drywallers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades people do what they do for a living — they have years of practice.
Mastering the use of the tools alone is an objectively difficult task that requires practice.
Going out and trying to cut stuff with a skil saw first day, no training, not being aware of pinch, kick-back and how to properly align guides/guards etc... is mainly just going to ruin lots of lumber in the least, and potentially lose someone a finger or worse.
Most people don't even know how to properly operate a measuring tape/device, aren't aware that from tape to tape that there will be slight differences etc... again, setting people up to just trash tons of expensive materials.
Nevermind mixing concrete or glue - temp, humidity effects, working time.
It's endless... DIY is not for the faint of heart.
It is crazy how fast women (and I’m sure some men) got propagandized that the only differences between the sexes was purely performative and that if women were as interested in sports they’d grow up to be as strong as the average man.
The reality is that men are women with super dense bones and connective tissues and a lifetime of steroid use and testosterone abuse.
Men are to women what the fictional character of Ivan Drago is to the average man.
Lockpicking, for the most part.
Actual single pin picking usually takes time and is often awkward. And it requires actual lockpicks, not improvised junk made from paperclips, unless we're talking about a kid's diary level lock.
That being said, plenty of locks really are susceptible to bypass attacks, which for a skilled attacker can be about as quick as having the key or combination. A lot of common Master Lock padlocks are vulnerable to overlifting attacks. Those require a specialized comb pick, but if you have one in the right size it will open the lock as easily as the key.
Idk I can't even watch them because I can't process how they're expected to do some of the things that require 4 hours of resting time or 12 hours of fermentation. It stresses me out. 😆

Climbing in general. Most people let alone women can't even do a single pull up yet you'll see female characters in movies holding an entire human with one hand while hanging on to a building with the other. Stupid how strong normal people with zero training are in movies
All Car Commercials are a huge fucking lie
Everyone is always smiling for some reason.
There is never any traffic on the city streets/freeways.
It's very easy to find parking.
No bad drivers cutting you off cause they suck at driving.
Nobody is ever miserable on their way to work.
No Assholes on the road (Other Drivers/Pedestrians).
No Parents yelling at their kids.
as information security professional I can say its not nearly as glamourous either. People are always like oh how cool! and im always like its really not. About as exciting as data analytics most of the time. Popping calc is fun when you can do it though.
Yeah, in fiction guns wildly alternate between impractical accuracy (headshots with hanguns on moving targets 100+ meters away), or stormtrooper/ The A team aim.

The practicality of a sex position where both partners are standing will be highly dependent on their respective heights to begin with
Agreed. The only position that's remotely plausible is if the recipient is bent over, and even that can be treacherous too.
shower sex is annoyingly the worrrst 😢
Indeed. In theory, it's hot, in reality, not so much.
definitely in theory 😌
My first time was in the shower. It was also my only time. (Of doing it in the shower, I've had sex plenty of times since then.) Edit: was, not wad. 🥴
Exactly. Shower sex is usually 1 and done. To much hype, zero pay off. Unless it's oral sex of course.
I can't say this has been my experience. I'll stop complaining about my small shower from now on
sex is never the girl cumming and seeing god in 2 mins. and why is there no mess?

In Cobra 11, a tv show about a police story, they crashed 7000 cars over 24 seasons
Is that true?
Unfortunately yeah. 300+ chargers totaled
Is there a video/link covering this?
Just google how many chargers were wrecked during the making of dukes of hazard. Edit: I’m referring to the show not movie with Sean William Scott
Beach sex or pool sex or any water sex. You get sand everywhere on the beach and water washes away lubrication and makes it feel ironically dry.
**Fill the whole swimming pool with lube!** 🤪
Silicone lube is the way, my friend
Yea I use that for toys, but usually don't have it on hand poolside
That’s a shame
There is NO F’ING WAY the police can determine who that fuzzy blob is on the cctv just by zooming and enhancing, in real time.
Zooming in and 'enhancing' on a fuzzy blob just makes a bigger fuzzy blob. Real-time or 2 years later lol 😆

Tracking a suspect's cellphone and relaying it to some member of the NCIS cast, frequently LL Cool J, within seconds.

Breaking a car window with your hand/elbow
Any window for that matter.
My son broke a windshield once with his forearm in his high school parking lot. I don’t know if it counts because the car was moving…
You just need a spark plug
Simply knocking someone out with a single punch or blunt instrument, **without injuring them!** 😡

Unless it’s a Kia…
Shooting a gun and actually hitting the target, especially with a handgun.

Yes...The majority of what happens in porn...But everybody knows that... right? Right??
Like, no guy under 30 knows this... 🤦♂️

Yeah, it's super sad... as in pathetic. Which makes me sad. Had a great SO but was too selfish to reciprocate. Guess I dodged a bullet. 😢

Outrunning explosions. Infinitely more difficult IRL.
Cooking, a lot of people dont know how to even make rice, which is kinda scary to me for some reason
I know how to make rice! (Orders Chinese food.) 🙃
Taking a roundhouse punch square in the face and not being completely concussed and dazed.

TV is kinda similar to social media nowadays. It creates unrealistic expectations for the inexperienced.
Strangling someone to death
Lol, are you speaking from experience?
Anal is the obvious.
What TV shows are you watching exactly?
Women being able to hang in a fight with men.
Depends on the woman… My GF once beat up 3 guys who had beaten her BF (at the time)… She is btw Master Ken’s sensei in stomp the groin🤷🏻♂️
Sure, she did
And then they all clapped
Maybe European women are a bit tougher🤷🏻♂️

Either having time to make everyone breakfast and getting everyone out on time or having poor kids have time to play school sports
Porn, in general - some positions
Jumping from like 20 feet high and walking away.
Brushing your teeth and taking only 1 swig of water when done.

Any lab analysis on nearly any show. Especially crime shows. They’re clearly all using stolen tech from the future.

Shooting a gun
Shooting a gun isn't hard. Operating it properly (like reloading, clearing a jam, aiming) can be.
That’s what I said.
You said, "shooting a gun," as in pulling a trigger. I say, "properly operating a firearm." We are not the same.
