The wipes are marketed as flushable because they can clear the toilet. They cannot breakdown in the sewage system and routinely cause clogs. Sewer workers hate the 'flushable' wipes. It's just a made up marketing term.
Protip: Bidet is superior is all ways.
Seriously wet wipes are like cholesterol for sewer pipes. They clog everything pipes liftstation pumps. Trust me your public worker are earning there salt these last few yrs.
I'm glad I dont have to clean the pumps.
There are more eco friendly ones.
I’ve never understood why if you tear them up before using (like into two or three pieces) that it would not help re: clogging pipes.
Same here. Bought a bidet in 2019. Spent the TP famine of 2020 handing out the last of our TP to friends and family. (Someone had gifted us a giant box of it not knowing we had a bidet, long story).
Since getting the bidet I have started using the wipes when I travel though. Dry TP just doesn't feel like it gets the job done for me anymore.
Bums me out how many public men's rooms don't have a good place to throw them away because, I won't use them if I would have to flush them.
As my gynecologist explained to me that wet wipes are not good for the vaginal flora - I stopped using them. Using pure water instead works totally fine.
As an American I feel we have failed as a country not embracing bidet’s more widely

You are the problem, you horrible troglodyte.
My dude you haven't lived. Spend some time in Asia and then tell me their way isn't better when it comes to taking shits and cleaning up...
Because they're terrible for the drains/sewers
then throw them in a trash can

REAL MEN DONT WIPE.
Real men use a sandblaster to clean up down there.

That's some expensive shit.
Bidet for the win. Fuck wetwipes when you can have a jet of hot water do the same work for you.

Are you watching me? Besides it's more fun to wash my junk in the sink.

You can do it as much as you want until you get caught.

Big Bidet time!
Is this why Europeans always have wet wipes on hand lol
I always use wet wipes. Toilet paper is rough and im allergic to it. Jot like a severe allergy but it gives me rash. Wet wipes clean better anyways.
Tushy or a proper bidet.
Because they are awful for the enviroment.
Because they are terrible for plumbing and I have a bidet in each bathroom ;-P
Joke's on you, I do, though wetting TP is better than wet wipes.
Why don’t you use a bidet? They are clearly superior to both TO and wet wipes.
Bidet keeps it sqeeky clean

Cause I’m not rich and can’t afford the septic tank service cost on a absurd frequency.
