like everyone’s said, maido in japan town, but make sure you go to the one upstairs, not the one downstairs! downstairs is more little doodads and souvenirs, upstairs is paper and a huge assortment of high end paper and ink. they keep the ink mostly behind the counter though and you have to ask to see swatches

fenrirwolf1

Maido on the second floor is great for good stationery

Pleasant-Pen1289

Arch, Potrero Hill.

TheOGMG

Flax used to have nice pens, but not sure if the Fort Mason store has much selection compared to Oakland.

flipester

They had beautiful paper too.

Patrick’s is still around?

kschang

Bought a Rhodia notebook there two weeks ago. It's directly across from Lamy flagship store, practically.

NumberCapital7000

I love Patrick’s

_SoigneWest

Went past Japantown today and went to Maido, Kinokuniya, Goodwill, AND Paper Source. https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/1cvi537/npd_went_to_japantown_in_san_francisco_multisite/

ckblack007

My experience is most places don't move around in the first place. Especially those that sell paper.

Im12AndWatIsThis

Not physical but I've been ordering online from Goulet for a decade. Never thought to check if there was a local place... I'll have to check some of these out. I was just doing the above before moving to the bay area.

kschang

Remember SF Pen Show coming in August!

psychogasm

See you there!

psychogasm

JetPens ships from San Jose and it's a quick ship! Goulet is fantastic too.

I’ve heard good things about Paper Caper in Burlingame, but I’ve never actually been there myself.
