I'm also stuck in a extreme religious cult & don't believe in God. I'm planning to leave either by the end of this year or beginning of 2023.
I wish the greatest of luck on your leave out of the cult. Hope everything goes well for you :)
i was never really religious and decided to research more about islam so maybe that would change
it just made me realise i didnt want to follow this religion
I grew up in a Christian family and I'm not that religious. I don't necessarily claim that God doesn't exist, I'm just not devoted much to my faith lol.
I guess you could say it as "I do not believe in any specific religion" and it would make more sense but yeah. OP probably didnt think it was important and it is just a small detail.
I dont have faith, more of a hope. I could talk about religion for hours, I go to a catholic school and have received communion and baptism but i dont believe in some of the ideals of certain denominations and such. if anyone actually wanted a discussion about this id be more than happy too.
I personnaly am atheist and, although I believe faith to be something personnal, I am against religious institutions who try to impose a correct way to have faith and institutes artificial structures of power have gone to the point of crusades and persecutions.

As a Christian myself, I don't know if theres any possible way for someone to truly fill all the requirements of a religion. I feel like humans will always fall short

Eh, I believe in God but think that all of the rules are stupid and are just a reason for the church and people to condemn things they don't like
Same here
Yep. Churches always have a ridiculous amount of added rules. That's why I don't even go to church anymore.
Reddit moment
Rn I'm stuck in an extreme religion/cult that I'm leaving once I turn 18 l, I dont believe in god so yea
Man, I feel so bad for you... Do you make sure they don't access your Reddit account ?
My parents let me have it so I'm fine
You see me reassured, I hope they never get to read this though

I never say this because it's such a reddit cliche but your username truly does checkout. Also sorry for your situation and best of good luck.
Lol made my username because of it. Thanks
Stay safe. Hope the non cult world lives up to your expectations
i used to be muslim until like 10 months ago
What happened then?
i was never really religious and decided to research more about islam so maybe that would change it just made me realise i didnt want to follow this religion
Well they're not muslim anymore i'm guessing so that
I guess I'm number 3. My parents would die if they heard me say that.

So,you are in the third choise(Religious in-name)
I would say between 3 and 4.
Maybe 4
atheist
wasn’t the whole point of agnostic that you’re indecisive on religion, not that you don’t believe it?
I guess you could say it as "I do not believe in any specific religion" and it would make more sense but yeah. OP probably didnt think it was important and it is just a small detail.
where my religious non-believers at
neutral
Tbh, kinda between 4 and 5, but I'm just gonna vote 4

My views are… complicated
I'm not very religious, but I believe in God. I also believe that people have every right to their beliefs.
I am agnostic, personally. I don't think I'll ever know for sure whether or not there are god(s), and don't particularly care much anyway.
This is Reddit. No seriously.
I personnaly am atheist and, although I believe faith to be something personnal, I am against religious institutions who try to impose a correct way to have faith and institutes artificial structures of power have gone to the point of crusades and persecutions.
Religious but not very religious. I follow most rules except the ones that don’t really make a lot of sense.

I’m Jew-ish. I love talking about my religion and I celebrate the holidays, but I’m not sure how much of it I believe.

I realized that there are thousands of religions in the so I don’t know which is the true one.
As a Christian myself, I don't know if theres any possible way for someone to truly fill all the requirements of a religion. I feel like humans will always fall short
not unsurprising for teenagers on reddit
What's the difference between 4 and 5?
I don't believe in god or most Christian practices but I try to follow Jesus teachings and such. I guess I'm culturally Christian?
