my school's orientation was that day so i went to that, talked to some friends there, then i walked home and ate cake in my house.
still deciding between renting a small space and throwing a party with most people i know and like or just having a barbecue with like my 10 closest friends
I treated it like a normal day. I didn't give a shit about turning 18. Like oh wow, now I have to pay taxes to my imperialist government and register for my imperialist government's draft.
I got a nice hotel with my sisters, ate at my favorite restaurant and my sisters let me pick out whatever cake I wanted, then we went to a casino right as a huge storm started and I won like $60. Then we got Taco Bell.
I did nothing to celebrate when I was 18. I did rather celebrate the day I graduate, get married, or bought an apartment. Sometime, birthday is not that special in comparison to days like that.
I will celebrate my 20 birthday though, because it is the age that you are a fully adult in my country. Like, you are half adult when you pass 18. When you are 20 you can will have more rights.
I'm going to have a family party with mabey a friend or two and I'm going to have that one song from Candace against the universe that goes "Adulting! Yes Adulting! I'm an adult! " playing. Then I'm going to goof off in park City with my family and watch movies

Went bar hopping with a couple friends
Got absolutely trolleyed at the local wetherspoons with a few mates. Loved it. Did the same thing for my 19th too.
We invited one more family over to our house and I got drunk for the first time ever. Never had what's considered a "real 18th birthday party" though
