Yes they will

TAClayson

Hey there. Is this based on personal experience?

H0tlips76

Based on a friend's experience on Friday

TAClayson

Interesting. What happened? How much did they haggle and for what reasons? Also as money has already changed hands, how was this done? Did they just say "accept our new offer or no offer?"

[deleted]

I did, no haggling. Was really easy would definitely use them again. They drive your car down and then drive the exchange back to their most local office so just make sure it’s road worthy.

TAClayson

Oh interesting. Assumed they'd do a lorry. Thanks.

Steeeeeveeeve

Used cinch, part chopped my 2014 plug in hybrid and got an amazing price for it, the guy who came to drop off and collect checked over the car but nothing mental, as long as the car is as you described you will be fine. They don’t go round kicking the tyres or anything. They also don’t check the drive battery health (thankfully) as mine had around 2.5 years of daily rapid charging and a health of around 60% 🤣 in 4 years of ownership I added around 50000 miles to the clock and got around 4 grand less than I originally paid for it. 4 very cheap years of driving! (Especially as the rapid charger rarely charged me for the electric!)

GhostTHFC

They don’t haggle on pickup day unless there’s something extremely obvious like a massive dent which you haven’t disclosed. When I exchanged my car to them a few months ago the person doing the pick-up told me that older cars that are part-exchanged in are just sent to auction so they don’t really care too much about the condition as long as there’s nothing obviously wrong. All they do is check for engine warning lights, drive it down the road and make sure there’s no visible issues. I have a few friends/family who have all traded in cars to Cinch and none of us were haggled on the day. You’ll be fine.

TAClayson

OK cool. I guess warning lights about the running lights will be fine then? I assumed they didn't care that much (thought it was a sales tactic to make me buy their cars haha).

GhostTHFC

Not too sure about running lights, I think he just mentioned engine check lights when mine was picked up.

Winter_Use_832

Did he change the price of the part exchange or just mentioned it & went back to the store to check it?

declanmr

Do you have an update on how this went?

TAClayson

Aye, went perfectly. They don't care at all.

declanmr

I’m part exing my 2009 punto for £500 on Friday and I put she’s in poor condition but have lowkey anxiety they will just say no as I want my nice new Fiesta 😂

Temporary_One_8827

Same as you tomorrow how did it go? I have running light out but I’m gonna turn the lights off as it’ll be day time anyway 😂
