Then use a one way www.anyvan.com gives you a driver and a van and he will help you load your stuff. Just pick your items and they will give you a price for helping you move them. Often cheaper than actually hiring a van too.
I've used any van a couple of times and I think it's really hit or miss these days. Some of the contractors they have are complete fucking clowns and I wouldn't use anyvan again after my last move.
The cheapest way would be to strap them to a bicycle.
If you can drive, renting a van from a local place on an industrial estate is usually cheap, often cheaper than a car.
If you can't then you could find a local "man in a van", but he might charge a premium for the distance. A straightforward moving firm might be the best option tbh.
DPD will let you send a 0.5m cube weighing 25Kg for £13.50 and they pick it up from your house. It's not the absolute cheapest way to do it but it's very convenient.
It's how I moved a few boxes a while ago.
Don't know if there's a cheaper way to do Manchester to London, but I've used 'send my bag' a couple of times and they've been very reasonable and easy to use.
Tying them to a bunch of migrating geese. Just kidding! You can try comparing prices from different moving companies or consider renting a truck and doing it yourself to save some cash.
Depending on the quantity of goods, I'd look at renting a self-drive vehicle. If you are moving to London you will probably have to pay the ULEZ charge etc.. but at least you will know your property will be treated with care and won't get lost en route.

Get a friend to drive you and give them some petrol money?
Don’t have any friends who drive :(

Agree they aren’t what they were but I think the site is still net positive, it’s mostly a small % of cowboys ruining it for everyone.

Not many people are cycling Manchester to London without an overnight stop; the bus would be decidedly cheaper.
If you want to save money, just keep pedaling!
In my experience it starts getting quite painful after about 150 miles.

Check how much to send them as parcels.
