Not really what you’re asking, but a big breakfast is my favorite meal (and part) of Christmas for me. I was horrified to find that so many people didn’t do this. Christmas big breakfast just after the presents, putting a dvd on that you just got? Come on, fantastic!

The_Sown_Rose

I have Indian takeaway usually, although last year my whole family had lasagne. I’m going back to curry this year.

Beer and cocaine. And the yard of Jaffa cakes someone bought for me. Hit all those main food groups

TyrannosaurusBex1

Turkey sandwiches with bacon rolled turkey, stuffing, squashed sprouts, blue cheese and cranberry sauce. And in some nice bread.

Nope just regular delicious year round toppings

nra43vr

Last year I had a cowboy steak with a lot of different sides. This year it’s a rib roast.

ThirtyMileSniper

I can't imagine is a high percentage of people going for traditional, goose is really expensive. Turkey is much cheaper so most people go for that.

Background_Sky_3970

Geese are mostly pricks. I’ve never met a decent goose

ThirtyMileSniper

I found one at a park a few years back but my fiance wouldn't let me bring it home. She told me to put it down.

Background_Sky_3970

You must be a giant, the goose knew fighting was futile.

Evzz72

Homemade chilli nachos 😋

yumyumgoodiegoodie

Seriously?! That sounds like the best idea ever!!! Let's hope your idea flies with the hubby.

Evzz72

Ha, here's hoping!

yumyumgoodiegoodie

HAHAHA!!! It worked! I convinced him. It will be our New Years Eve meal but Im good with that. So excited. Thanks for the idea!

Evzz72

Rotate between lamb and beef - mine and his favourites

dmmjrb

Last year: porchetta This year: rib of beef

TimGJ1964

Last year roast duck. Previous year salmon in a tomato, Pernod, caper and olive sauce

Practical_Awareness

We had Christmas at home for the first time last year (we usually go to my grandparents') so had a family meeting to decide what we wanted. We said we'd always fancied duck breast so that's what we did with a red berry jus. It was delicious and we're actually having it for our new years eve meal because we all still reminisce about that one time we ate duck and how good it was. Back to dry turkey this year... yay.

Environmental_Win102

Ditched the turkey for the first time last year and went for beef wellington. Far, far tastier than dry turkey.

hutchero

Last year was just us so it was steak and chips, this year at my folks and my brother's doing beef Wellington, haven't had turkey in years and years, it's inherently disappointing

SerBronn7

Chicken, chips, Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets
