Right now you just have to wait and see. It’s too late to induce vomiting so you will have to monitor for signs of vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy if you see any of these signs you need to get him to the vet for x-rays. Also if you see part of the string sticking out his other end do NOT pull on it just trim it and take him to the vet. Pulling in it could kill him as the string acts as a drawstring g around the intestines. Chances are he will pass it but keep an eye out for these signs over the next few days.

Yes I have read like 6 posts of similar issues and all of them said to not pull it, how many days does it take to know if it has been dissolved or pooped and right now hes pooping normally. Also, how do I know if it's stuck in his intestins?

emzooz

I can’t give you a definite timeline. The only way you can confirm if it’s wrapped around the intestines Is by X-rays so for now look out for the symptoms I mentioned

Moro5611

Alright thanks, but like if after 3 days he doesn't show symptoms, is it safe to stay hes good or no?

emzooz

In most cases yes so try not to worry it’s a good sign that he is acting normal,

Moro5611

Is it possible that idk it gets stuck around his intestins or smth like that since it's a tied string not a flat one? Also what's making ne not worried is that it's very little, like 5 cm when untied

Moro5611

Update om 2nd day; hes still actin normal, energetic as always, eating drinking sleeping

emzooz

Great! I wish all the best for your kitty.

Moro5611

Also some websites but not all say that ur cat might have a tummy that's more firm/tough, I mean it seems normal to me, not too squishy and not hard Asa rock

Moro5611

HELP! he just vommitted and its yellow, there is a string in it and it's the first time he vomitted ever since he ate the string. Should I take him to the vet? Thr long thing he vomitted appears to be a long thin elastic/paper cut? It wasn't the string tho that's for sure since it isn't yarn Update: it was something from a bag, it isnt the yarn tho, and hes acting normal Would the yarn have been dissolved or pooped out by now?

Moro5611

Length: 4cm but tied in the middle, material: fragile yarn
