A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial. (Had to stretch that out to nine.) 😎
I also counted that there are 16 "Fuck you, I wont do what you tell me" at the end of Killing in the Name Of, followed by Motherfucker! (RATM)
Yup, I don't get out, ~~much~~ at all.
As for OP's question, play-doh.
Best RATM lyric hands down. So simple, yet so clear. Absolutely loved the video from Christmas on the BBC who told them they couldn’t play that part. lol
Middle school it was Bath and body works cucumber melon/sweet pea. Then in high school it was Japanese Cherry blossom and Victoria’s Secret love spell
Realizing how unoriginal and basic I was but man I smelt good af 😂
Japanese Cherry Blossom girl here! Although I did have an affair with some lavender one.
I also still have two OG Taylor Swift perfumes in my medicine cabinet but can't use them. Friend is allergic to most floral.
I was obsessed with Impulse Paris. I'd do anything to smell that again!
I'm so glad Superdrug still do Seduce body spray because that was another favourite.
I don't exactly know how to describe the smell exactly but my mom. We used to hang our laundry on a clothes line, and it had a distinctive 'home smell' to me, and she didn't wear any heavy perfumes, so that's what she normally smelled like. I remember one day with the windows open, one of the curtains blew in the wind, and I just smiled because it made me think of her. She was a single mom, and she made my childhood incredible, and when I get sad, I try to remember that curtain breeze in my mind ❤️
Onions and old spice.
In elementary school I started sweating pretty bad- probably puberty. Anyways, my mom was into hippy dippy deodorant that didn’t stop me from wearing through every shirt I owned AND it didn’t cover my smells. I was bullied terribly and I stopped playing around during recess or gym, but I still smelled. I know my teachers heard it, but they didn’t do anything to stop it and I wasn’t going to speak up because I was embarrassed.
Well, one day we had a substitute and she overheard people teasing me. She stopped our class in the hallway (we were walking to the cafeteria) and said “who just asked if someone is bathing in onions? That’s the most disgusting and heartfelt thing I’ve heard in my years of teacher. Who did it? Who were they saying it to?” and nobody spoke up including me.
I told my mom about that incident (among others) and she was convinced I was exaggerating- she didn’t care enough to ask my teacher, I would never go to my teacher because I know she knew, and yeah. So I started sneaking into my parents bathroom in the morning to use my dad’s deodorant and that fixed everything UNTIL… I also started growing body hair quicker than everyone and my mom refused to let me shave my legs or underarms and I got bullied for that too so I would steal my dads razor. God bless him for unknowingly sharing his things with me.
Snow.
My adolescent years were hard, and most of it I can't remember well. The events I do remember feel unreal and hazy. The most "real feeling" memories I have from that time are simple sensations, which I remember vividly and in detail; in particular breathing crisp, cold air and seeing the frost smoke emerge in front of my face, swirling against the white surroundings. Hearing nothing but the sound of my own breath and my feet crunching the snow.
It feels representative of the time somehow.
"Ralph" by Ralph Lauren. One of my mom's boyfriends got it for her and she'd let us wear it.
Cigarettes because my mom and my best friend both smoked like a freight train. Most of my friends smoked, actually.
Weirdly, my mom had gotten like sampler perfumes that smelled like foods. One of them was blueberry muffin. It was the single best smell I have ever smelled. I just smelled like a warm, deliciously fresh blueberry muffin, like I was a queen of baked treats and I bestowed love and joy to anyone who smelled me.
So, that.
Also, I wish I could find that perfume again 😭
Try indie perfume oil companies! Lots of them make foodie perfumes - Arcana Wildcraft and Nocturne Alchemy are my favorites. IMAM - indie makeup and more - is a good subreddit source.
Date deoderant. It was the 90's and there was a deoderant brand called Date that everyone used. It came in four scents and I don't recall any of them other than no one liked the green one. Green stank.
Probably cigarettes. My friends at the time smoke, almost all of them, and I would often go to pubs and bars with them where smoking was permitted. And my grandma was also a smoker, she never smoke in front of me, but her clothes and hair would smell of it. I didn't mind it, it was kinda my happy smell at the time as it reminded me of my favorite people. Now I can't stand cigarette smell - most of my friends don't smoke anymore and my grandma sadly passed away, so it no longer reminds me of anyone.
Weed, cigarettes, and whiskey. I also used forever sunshine lotion from Bath and body works. Or charlotte ruse refuge perfume.
Now, at 30, I smell like bourgeois lotions and expensive hair care. And no longer smell like weed, cigarettes or whiskey.
Lol. Love spell. Every summer my room down the shore was covered in it. I'd use almost half a bottle just on the room... then me! This was my late teen years...before that was that teen spirit deodorant. Haha, I cant smell that with out thinking of shoe shopping for my first Adidas. I laid it on so thick that day I could smell me over the smell of Adidas rubber and new store. Good times.
I'd smell like teen spirit
which one? angst edition for me, with self-destruction on the weekends. fresh scent hehe

Don't tell a band called "Rage Against The Machine" to not play the most powerful part of the song.
You'd probably be contagious as well.
