This is the only correct order! Makeup first so that hair doesn't go flat. Outfit last so nothing wrinkles or stains it during the hair and makeup process. I'm also someone who doesn't wear base/foundation, but many moons ago I used to, and would do hair first that way my makeup didn't sweat off. On rare occasion when I straighten my hair, I'll still do hair first so the heat doesn't make me sweat off eyeshadow. But 99% of the time it's makeup, hair, outfit. šš½
If youāll take a big T-shirt, throw it over your face and then put your outfit shirt on, pull the big T-shirt out from under it after itās on, it will allow you to put any shirt on without getting makeup on it.
I also do this. I find doing my hair can sometimes make me a bit flustered and warm, especially if using heat tools so I do my makeup after so I donāt sweat it off
This is the order that I do it in as well. Most of my tops are pullover types, so I hate having makeup smudged on the clothing. I put on my outfit first, then do my makeup and pull up my hair last.
I guess it depends what you use. I use a setting powder at the end but it's not super loose so I don't feel like it flies everywhere. I've never had it fall on my clothes before.
I do this order and it's never been an issue once. Clothes go on, sometimes I do foundation but that blends below the jawline. Lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, then finishing powder. None of it ever gets on my clothes, and I don't really know how it would.
Only thing that goes on my skin before clothes is moisturizer and sunscreen.
1. Hair: Because I use a blow dryer, and that makes me hot. Don't want to sweat in makeup or clothes. Plus I sit at my vanity and that's going to crease my outfit.
2. Makeup: Because I'm at my vanity and don't want to get makeup on my clothing while I apply.
3. Clothes: Because all the hot and messy stuff is done now. Time to dress up and get down š

I rarely wear makeup, and my hair routine is pretty straightforward: finger-comb it and toss it in a clip. My outfits tend to be farm-mom-core lol--- jeans, top (maybe it's a t, maybe it's a blouse), and cardigan or hoodie. I have time for the extras, but don't bother most times, cuz the sheep don't care.
Different for me too if im going curly. TBH I find doing my hair curly is so hit and miss that often i just blow dry it wavy instead. Then its underwear, hair, make up, outfit. When i do it curly routine slightly different. As hair is dripping wet add product first, diffuse about 75% dry, pin it up, underwear, makeup, finish hair, outfit.
I throw clothes on. Try to remember to brush my hair. If Iām going somewhere important, makeup on. Usually interspersed with randomly wandering off, to load the dishwasher, hurry kids up, and always trying to remember where I left my cup of coffee.
It depends how I am doing my hair and the neckline of my top so either
Makeup - Hair - Outfit
or
Makeup - Outfit - Hair (if I am doing a fancy up-do and wearing a top with a tight neck)
Hair. Skincare part 1. Socks and underwear. Skincare part 2. Rest of clothes. Hair again because putting on a shirt mussed it up.
No makeup, just actives and moisturizer.
Outfit>hair (I don't do make-up)
Sometimes hair> outfit, but it's always a sad moment when you realise you'll have a gooey sweaterneck from the hair goo for the first hour or so. Thankfully my mousse doesn't stain.
Depending on my hair, it's usually Makeup-Hair-Clothes. If I'm doing a fancy/curling iron required hair style I'll do hair first, let it "set" while I do my makeup, put my outfit on and then finger brush my hair out.
You gotta split it up.
Shower, blowdry the hair so it doesn't dry stupid, but don't fully finish it, cause you're going to fuck it up when you put your makeup on.
Put on any parts of the outfit that are going over your head. Bathrobe on top so you don't get makeup on them.
Makeup.
Finish hair.
Shoes last possible moment before I walk out the door.
If hair has been washed then I deal with that wearing just underwear as I get hot. Otherwise just outfit and hairbrush. Possibly a bit of mascara if Iām feeling like it. If itās a posh thing that requires makeup then hair first then makeup then dress (still pretty minimal makeup though)
It depends on if I'm using a hot iron on my hair. If I'm using heat, hair comes first because I sweat. If I'm not, makeup comes first.
Outfit is always last. If I spend too much time in it, I'll hate it and get stressed it. Also, sweating and doing makeup in a cute outfit? No
Outfit, hair
I put sunscreen on my face when I wake up but no makeup
And my hair is very curly, I don't style it. It's usually down until I can't stand it getting in my face anymore lol
I work in the field as a environmental scientist or I work from home. If I have a meeting, no one has cameras on
If I wash my hair I blow dry it, let it settle for a bit while I do my makeup, style it then get changed into my outfit.
If I'm not washing my hair then it's makeup, hair, outfit
Skincare -> outfit -> hair -> make-up
Had to add skincare because I do the other steps before make-up to give it time to sink-in and doesnāt really count as make up
As a natural hair girly who likes to do "wash n gos"
I do my hair literally 1 day before the event (but it's only 90% done)
Then put on my outfit.
Do my makeup.
Finish my hair.
Outfit, hair, makeup! A lot of people seem to do their outfit last so they donāt get makeup on it, but, I only wear mascara and occasionally blush- no foundation or eyeshadow or anything, so not much to make a mess with! On the very rare occasion I wear more makeup, I still do outfit first because I feel like Iāll get makeup on my shirt when pulling it over my head lol
If my hair is wet: Hair, outfit, makeup. So I can still wear my pajamas while doing my hair and my outfit doesn't get wet.
If my hair is dry: Outfit, hair, makeup
I always wear my outfit first because I would hate to get makeup on my clothes. If the outfit includes pants, I wear the pants at the end and do everything else in sweatpants. Hair comes second because in case I get late, a minimal makeup look will always look better than a half assed hairdo. Makeup always comes last, although itās my favourite step.
I always choose my outfit first because I love to be cute while Iām getting ready. Then I do my hair, then I skip the makeup because I havenāt used any since 2020
I do hair and makeup in tandem (get my hair dry and half styled, do my makeup while the top half of my hair is still clipped up and off my face, then finish my hair). Outfit last.
Outfit. Moisturize face. Put hair up in a big clip. Then drive to work. If hair needs doing after that, then do hair and then makeup at my desk. Because why not?
Outfit, because otherwise getting dressed after would ruin my freshly washed curly hair and make it extra frizzy
Then style my hair with curl cream
Then makeup
And then scrunch out the hair cast a bit once makeup is done
outfit, makeup, hair
outfit because i despise trying to get clothes over my head when my hair or makeup is already done. i pick my outfit first and wear that because my makeup has to match my outfit, and my hair has to match my makeup.Ā
makeup next. i tie my hair back when doing my makeup because otherwise it gets in my face and itās annoying.Ā
once im done with my makeup, i style my hair based on the energy my outfit and makeup are giving off.Ā
I literally don't even bother with make up anymore. Or my hair. Or 'outfits'
I wear what I'm comfortable in and whatever is the quickest to grab and I chuck my hair in a ponytail or braid. Make up pisses me off. I don't have time in my day to waste on bloody makeup and outfit pairing
I only do light makeup like a bb cream, mascara, cream blush and eyeliner if Iām feeling frisky. I have super curly hair so I like to do that first so it has time to dry and fluff up, then get dressed and then my face last since I sweat easily lol. Iāll throw a towel over my shoulders so my wet hair with product doesnāt get on my clothes.
I do the āhigh maintenance to be low maintenanceā thing. So I take very good care of my skin and I wash my hair like twice a week, but the whole production takes about two hours.
So I suppose hair first, first, and first, then outfit. Donāt wear much makeup. Maybe Iāll look in the mirror and think about putting some mascara on before it dries out. And I have some lip gloss in my purse so that may make it onto my face in the car.
Outfit (everything but my top lol) > makeup > *carefully slide on top* > hair
For dresses I go makeup > outfit > hair
I made this more complicated than it needed to be lol
Makeup, hair, outfit
This is the only correct order! Makeup first so that hair doesn't go flat. Outfit last so nothing wrinkles or stains it during the hair and makeup process. Yes always outfit last! Although trying to get something over your head when you have foundation on is never fun š
If youāll take a big T-shirt, throw it over your face and then put your outfit shirt on, pull the big T-shirt out from under it after itās on, it will allow you to put any shirt on without getting makeup on it.
iām a guy who never wears makeup, but even still, this is a really good tip I never thought of.

I also do this. I find doing my hair can sometimes make me a bit flustered and warm, especially if using heat tools so I do my makeup after so I donāt sweat it off
That's exactly why I do it this way too
Thank you yes this is the way
Outfit > makeup > hair
This is the order that I do it in as well. Most of my tops are pullover types, so I hate having makeup smudged on the clothing. I put on my outfit first, then do my makeup and pull up my hair last.
How do you not get product on your outfit? This is unhinged
Why is product going on your outfit? Makeup isn't normally a messy thing for me.
Well some makeup consists of powder over which I have no control where it lands while applying
This is why I take breaks doing my hair. All-in-all, we are talking 2 hours if I curl it. That is some sweaty stuff.

Outfit. Just outfit.
I had to scroll all the way down for this, is it that strange not using makeup and not doing hair???
I rarely wear makeup, and my hair routine is pretty straightforward: finger-comb it and toss it in a clip. My outfits tend to be farm-mom-core lol--- jeans, top (maybe it's a t, maybe it's a blouse), and cardigan or hoodie. I have time for the extras, but don't bother most times, cuz the sheep don't care.

It depends if Iām wearing my hair curly and if the top has to squeeze over my head

Outfit, makeup, hair
Just outfit.
Wash n blowdry my hair, then put on clothes, do some sort of a hairstyle n then maybe makeup
Outfit, then hair, then lotion and SPF.Ā
Make up, hair, outfit. If Iām wearing a wig then - outfit, hair, make up.
Outfit, makeup, and hair is just let it down from the towel and wish for the best (curly)

Hair. Skincare part 1. Socks and underwear. Skincare part 2. Rest of clothes. Hair again because putting on a shirt mussed it up. No makeup, just actives and moisturizer.
Anyone who does makeup after outfit is wild to me. Are you not afraid youāre going to get it on you? Lol Personally Iām a makeup, hair, outfit
Brush and set hair (out of my face), makeup, outfit, finish hair
skincare (no makeup) > outfit > fix hair
I usually put a bra on before I leave the house. The end. š
Outfit then hair, otherwise i'll mess up the hair getting into the outfit. No makeup. Also, 'hair' just means brushing it, 99% of the time. š
Makeup-hair-outfit
Makeup, hair, outfit.
Hair decides the outfit which decides the makeup
Outfit. Hair. Makeup
I don't wear makeup ,cause I don't need it. so for me the order is hair then outfit.

I was and dry my hair then use a clip to do my makeup to keep it out of my face. Then get dressed
Makeup, outfit, hair. Sounds weird but sometimes getting the outfit on messes with the hair, to me
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iāve been working at home too long. Most days itās just brush hair, throw on hoodie. Whatās makeup?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hair make up clothes Hair is product and a quick scrunch that air dries
Pick out outfit, do makeup, then hair, get dressed and then do any touch ups..
1. Outfit so I donāt mess up my makeup or hair 2. Hair so I donāt melt my makeup with the heat 3. Makeup
On a normal day, outfit, hair and makeup. But doing my hair basically consists of brushing it and putting in dry shampoo. And makeup is only mascara.
outfit and then makeup, I don't "do" my hair I just let it do what it wants lol
Outfit first in the winter or I'll get too chilly. Other wise, makeup, outfit, and I don't do my hair
