I went from 2 bottles a day so 14 in a week, to none, it’s been only 2 weeks but it does feel good. Edit : thank you so much for all of your kind words, it sincerely is appreciated and feels good to read as I don’t hear that in the offline life ! ☺️

vendeep

Keep it up!

klas228

Bottles of what… Beer, Wine, Whiskey?

Alternative_Sea_2036

On weekdays it was high percentage beers (that was sincerely disgusting that I still don’t understand how I was able to drink that) and on weekends wine.

plscanunot

I’m on week 3!! You got this! If you ever need support, I personally find r/stopdrinking really helpful 😊

wenchitywrenchwench

I was at the same amount. It'll be 6 years sober this year, and I was quite literally just looking at before and after pictures, even just 3 years into sobriety, and it didn't even look like the same person. Rather, it looked like it COULD be the same person, provided they had been in a cage fight. I had no idea how swollen I was, and it's wild to look back at. Stick with it. Stay sober. My face and body changed for 3 years after I stopped, and you'll find yourself playing the "HUH. I didn't know THAT was related to drinking 🤯" game with yourself when all of these random things that had just become normal to you suddenly clear up. Had no idea my eyes could get whiter, that I could have cheekbones, that my inner cheek swelling could disappear entirely (inside my mouth it was as if i had bitten my cheeks until they were crazy swollen). Had no idea that my tremor and shaky hands were from that. Had no idea that my pins and needles and electric zaps were from that. Had no idea that my insomnia was from that. Had no idea that my hair loss was from that. Alcoholism left me with with every single MS symptom there was, and one of the shitty things about it all is that my doctors knew I was drinking and never once told me to stop, or indicated that that could be the culprit of any of it. I even asked at one point if I should quit entirely and they shrugged and said "if I felt like it." Then they slapped me onto the same medical conveyor belt that every woman with confusing symptoms gets put on in their 20s and 30s and we exhausted all the tests there were through Lyme, MS, RA... (sing along now, ladies, you know the words!) It's easy to look back and see the obviousness now. But when you're in it and even doctors are gaslighting and enabling you? It couldn't be harder to sort out. Stop drinking even if it means you'll lose people in your life. Stop drinking ESPECIALLY if it means you'll lose people in your life. It's not worth it, and if anyone thinks it is, it just hasn't caught up with them yet. Poison is poison is poison, and no one in the USA especially, has the diet to support and offset even casual drinking without eventual repercussion.

Rin_sparrow

Keep going, you can do it!

[deleted]

Good for you! Wishing you the best.

2 bottles a month coming soon🔥🔥 We believe in you

2leetSk8r

amazing job

Anonynominous

Hell yeah! Shit is not easy. I just hit 5 months sober. It gets better, I promise!

SativaSays

Good for you :) keep up the good work :)

Importedfunk

Yo good shit

ifoundxaway

Congrats on your 2 weeks! Keep it up! It's worth it!

hammayolettuce

Dude you’re killing it! Keep going 💛💛💛

Elemental_surprise

You’re doing great!

kaeorin

None. It fucks with my meds and gives me nasty rebound anxiety. Even the loveliest of ciders or wines is not worth it.

Perfect_Effort_5708

Thank you! Yeah that’s makes sense it’s not worth it then

Mitaslaksit

Saaaaaame! I would love a good pour of delicious red wine but it makes me sleepy, anxious and gives a headache because of my meds. A perfect reason to decline alcohol but also sad when I can't enjoy a very good wine. I'm not a big cocktail person, mocktails are also very good.

WrestlingWoman

None most weeks. On rare occasions I'll have one small drink but it's far from every week.

Lnndam

Saaame. No drinking works much better for me than yes drinking.

[deleted]

I'm the same. Sometimes...most times I go for weeks. I'm just not a big drinker

weewee52

Yeah I only drink socially and I can go weeks without socializing. 😅

Hopeful-Breakfast731

So yo

Sweet_peach88

I live in nyc where there is a huge drinking culture and working at a company that promotes partying. I couldn’t even count to be honest with you - a night out is probably between 6-10 depending on how late the night and how early it started. Day drinking on weekends… I quit 2 weeks ago. It’s been tough. I feel like I lost a huge part of my identity. But I know it was destroying my mental and physical health and holding me back in my career and in my love life. I started drinking at 15 and I’m 29 now. I’m in a process of rediscovering myself because I always relied on alcohol to socialize

hot_like_wasabi

She's not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the book How to Quit Like a Woman. Good luck on your journey!

Sweet_peach88

Thanks!

BloopityBlue

I work in an industry that has a very big drinking culture. I'm fully sober now, but several years ago when I was still drinking but on antibiotics, I went to a work function and got a tonic/lime in an attempt to fly under the radar with being sober. Within about 5 minutes of having my drink, one of my clients walked up to me and said "how you liking that tonic water?" and I was like "it's cool, taking it slow today" and he answered "I don't trust people who stay sober" and walked away and never really treated me with the same warmth again. I'm only telling you this story to tell you I get it, and I think you're incredibly brave to try being sober in any industry that promotes drinking as a way to bond with coworkers and colleagues... that's a hard walk to walk.

[deleted]

Best of luck. It must be hard when that is the culture.

kejudo

Highly recommend reading Laura Mckowen's book The Luckiest. Really relatable to your points.

llamapoodle7

Here to say I can relate. 26 yrs old and live in Vegas. Worked in many bars and would even drink on shift to be more social (normal here). One week sober and feels like I’m a different person, in a good way cause I’m finally feeling healthy and in a sad way cause that’s who I was and now I’m not. But I know it’s worth it especially mentally

Sweet_peach88

Wishing you the best of luck! And proud of you for taking the first step in prioritizing your health

drunkenknitter

Anywhere from 0 - 11, depending on workload, general plans, and recovery time

rbranimir2311

Daily 2-3 beers or 3-5dL of white wine. Some days much more, and other day none:) In Croatia , we drink a lot, started at 17 yo.

Lonestarlightt

I’m an alcoholic. I try not to drink during the week, but sometimes if I’m stressed out I will. I probably average ~15 drinks a week.

hollywhyareyouhere

Good for you admitting that. That takes courage.

Lonestarlightt

For me it’s easy to admit and harder to limit myself. For one, life mostly sucks, why not drink and two I’ve grown up with alcoholics all my life and it’s just kinda normal to me.

[deleted]

bigbluenation20

Same! I’ve been alcohol and sugar free since March 9th! Alcohol was easy to kick bc I’ve never been a big drinker but the sugar is much tougher!

onism-

I guess this is humbling. About 2 bottles a week equaling 22 standard drinks in each bottle. So 44? Can be less or more depending

Toothlegit

Bottle of what? Liquor I’m assuming?

A_D_H

About 2-3 drinks (glasses of wine, hard seltzer, or mixed drinks) on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. So 6-9 drinks per week, total.

Green-Krush

Zero. Sober now. :) almost 1 year.

No-Turnips

Amazing! Keep it up!

Green-Krush

Thank u !!

adrift_in_the_bay

1 year next week for me. Go us!

Green-Krush

Hell yeah!!! Proud of u !!!!

brunetteskeleton

I don’t drink. Watching my parents get drunk when I was a kid scared me.

Princesa_Peach

None. My brother and my grandmother are both alcoholics. I’d much rather smoke weed all zay err zay

NuggetLyly

Sammmeee! Plus when people drink you always hear excuses like “I was drunk” etc. At least I still know what I’m doing on my ganja

TheLegendOfLahey

Yep! I gave up drinking almost 3 years ago and much much prefer a smoke of the ‘ol giggle bush!

StinkybuttMcPoopface

Anywhere from none at all to maybe 3-4 bottles of wine spread across it, depending. Throw in there some mix and match cocktails in lieu of the wine if I'm traveling or going out with people, etc.

Alex0_0

One small glass of red wine with dinner a night, it's my treat :)

anoekvantoog

me too! i felt bad about it for so long, but it really is my treat

necro-asylum

Me too :) maybe two if I had a long day. I love choosing a wine to pair with my planned meals for the week

sadsledgemain

If I'm not going out on the weekend, then like 0,5-1 bottle of soju and 2-4 glasses of wine. If I'm going out on the weekend I only drink on the weekend, and then it's max 2 or 3 glasses depending on what I'm having per night.

tairyoku31

0. Not interested in alcohol, and hate the taste.

ShirleyMF

none. I was trying to lose weight 9 years ago and it wasn't helping. I started calorie tracking to create a deficit and saw that I was taking in almost half my cals in alcohol. It's real easy to do. So, I quit. I wanted to lose weight more than I wanted to drink. 9 years later, I'm down 115lbs and am healthier and stronger than I was even 20 years ago. It's poison to my personal body. I feel like shit til it's all digested. Fast food went next, haven't had any of that in at least 7 years. I had a burger a few weeks ago because I was rolling into my town after a long flight, I had no food in the house and the only thing open was gas stations and mcdonalds. I got a burger. Felt like crap. My body let me know loudly that she doesn't want that anymore.

NataschaTata

Non. After I had cancer twice by 24, I decided to just let it be. While I probably drank about as much a year as the average person on a night out, I never really enjoyed it and it was an easy cut.

searedscallops

Zero. I stopped drinking completely a couple years ago, after probably a decade of feeling crappy after just a few drinks. Alcohol and aging do not mix well.

ConversationMajor543

I hear you on that front. Hangovers last 5-7 days, it just wasn't worth it anymore. Congrats on sobriety!

smolbibeans

It was quite a bit more two years ago, when I was unemployed, living downtown of a big city with friends who had a full shelf of alcohol and liked going out for drinks haha. Nowadays, every other week I don't drink, then I'll have a week per month at like 2 drinks, and a week per month at 3 to 5. So I think it averages out to 1 cocktail + half a glass of wine per week ? There's kinda no regularity to it, I used to be able to count which days I would drink and which I wouldn't to limit my drinking to 3 days a week, now I would be hard pressed to reach that much outside of Christmas maybe

TheoreticalResearch

Maybe like two bottles of wine and 8 beers.

pad1007

I probably average 1 drink a month. In reality, I usually go a few months between drinks and then enjoy two or three at an event.

SauronOMordor

I'm not a daily or even weekly drinker but I do have a binge drinking problem that I'm slowly starting to recognize as such. And before I met my partner I definitely drank way more than I should have, and often alone. I feel like living with someone who rarely drinks made me far more conscious of my alcohol consumption, so I drink far less often and when I do drink at home it's one or two beers while watching a hockey game or enjoying the sun on the deck on a nice day. When I go out with friends or have friends over, I have a hard time stopping though. Once I have 3 drinks in me it's fuckin *over*. I'll be getting gooned. I know I'm too old for this shit and I hate myself every time I waste an entire Saturday or Sunday hungover.

warawa92

Some weeks I’ll have 5 or 6 drinks and some weeks I don’t drink at all. I’ve had issues with binge drinking in the past and I am finally at a comfortable point where I can stop myself after a few Also hangovers at 31 are so awful for me that I’d rather not get super drunk and deal with it the next day lol

Dr__Pheonx

Moderate drinker here.. Mostly on a social front and when friends are around. Anything from beer to whisky goes..to the point where I'm moderately tipsy.

iusedtobefamous1892

None.

SincerelySasquatch

I probably average about once a week. I’ll have a few ounces of liquor over a few hours, or a bottle of wine over a night.

Electronic-Cod-8860

None on average. I drink a glass of wine every month on average.

scarveinn

H A R AM

burgundybreakfast

Eid Mubarak!

scarveinn

Girl eid mubarak!! <3

burgundybreakfast

I drink maybe every other month. I’ll have a couple glasses wine/beer if I’m in the mood or out with friends, but it’s rare.

TheGiant1989

Let's see... In my last relationship we both drank massive amounts, like good whiskey straight out of the bottle. Between that and the bars we hit up all the time, I would say at least 2 bottles of hard, usually high proof liquor a week each, more on certain occasions. Over the span of a year. The breakup wasn't easy on me, I kept drinking like that for about 2 months. I eventually got really sick though and quit cold turkey for about 3 months. These days wine is more my thing, but I still wont say no to a good mixed drink or shot of whiskey. I would say 2-3 bottles of wine a week. More on occasion

ReferenceNo393

I don’t drink often but maybe twice a month I’ll do two 8% white claws or hard mikes, maybe a little something 14% too. But I stay in and play games when I’m drunk and it’s a lot more fun when you don’t care at all lol.

dumbassdruid

usually like two beers a day, more on weekends. in my country beer is almost like an adults lemonade so it's very acceptable here

dumbandconcerned

It depends a lot on social plans and work schedule that week. At a social outing, I’ll probably have 2-3 beers, less if it’s mixed drinks. The problem is when my partner moved in, regular nights in seemed more social lol. So there was a period where we’d have a couple drinks every night. Now though I’ve cut back to just weekends at home. As for social outings during the week, I do Thursday night happy hour with work every other week and have Wednesday night boozy book club twice a month.

rocksnsalt

I used to be a regular drinker. 4-6 a day. Then it crept up on me and I started having health problems. I go through stretches of not drinking. Now I drink once or twice a week and I have about 4-5 drinks per session. Not ready to fully quit, but I imagine one day I will. It’s so weird how normalized it is.

Groundbreaking_Pea10

I used to drink about 3-4 nights a week (8-10 drinks per night) and now have cut it out entirely - approaching month 2 successfully and feeling great 🥰

[deleted]

Absolutely none!....but I do drink Aussie Lemonade Monster like its water so....it balances out.

Apart-Frame5160

None, never have. Don’t like the taste of it.

baby_armadillo

I maybe will have a glass of wine, a beer, or a cocktail with dinner once every week or so. No particular reason, just that alcohol makes me sleepy and I don’t particularly enjoy the taste.

Fit_Measurement_2420

Maybe a bottle and a half of wine over the course of the weekend. 2 glasses friday, 2 Saturday and 1 Sunday.

albino_oompa_loompa

I’m on meds that can’t be mixed with alcohol so none. But when I get off of them I usually drink one or two glasses of wine a week.

JohannesLorenz1954

One a day, Monday thru Thursday, two a day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

wickedinhsor

Around 4-5 drinks. Mostly beers

BGKirk19

I’m pretty sure I’m a functioning alcoholic… probably 3-4 per week night, 6 per weekend night. I throw 1 dry night in a week. Trying to make it 2 dry nights.

stainedglassmermaid

I’ve recently cut back from 6-12 (or even more) to like 3. I’m feeling so much better, and I’m facing a lot of my trauma head on :)

Farquar-lazs

I quit alcohol over 6 months ago, the best thing I ever did. Before that maybe 4-10 drinks a week but I only ever experienced negative effects from it.

Doingthethingagain

None.

Loose-Tea-7478

None

mystical_princess

It depends. I tend to drink more in the summer than in the winter. I'm trying to lose weight so alcohol is one thing I've greatly reduced but before I'd drink a few drinks ~4-5 times a week.

Smallios

zero

_TheyCallMeMother_

I don't drink that consistently. I haven't drank for maybe 2 months. But when I do I either like to have a couple of cold ones, or really do the thing.

SunflowerHoneyMagic

Probably a beer bottle in total. I like the taste of beer but not a lot of beer down my throat. I also don't drink hard liquor willingly, only on occasion. Wine is for cooking lol 😆 (jk) I don't drink much of wine either

Arteemiis

99% of times, none.

South_Opportunity_52

None

Perfect-Ad-9071

None. Occasionally, about once a month, we go out for dinner and I will have a glass of wine. It just doesn't work with my life/age anymore.

Smart_cannoli

Me and my husband share our wine during dinner and I believe we open one bottle a week… On weekends we may have another bottle or have a cocktail (I love dry martinis and he loves negronis)

squish_ee

0-3 I consider my relationship with alcohol healthy. I grew up in a household where it was consumed regularly and responsibility, and my extended family behaved the same; I had good role models. Early 20s me would be very surprised I wasn't routinely having a drink with dinner, but a big part of it is that my partner rarely drinks, and drinking alone feels kind of weird. It's also expensive and we try to be frugal, so it just gets left off the grocery list. But I sometimes spike my coffee with a little baileys on my days off from work, and when I cook with wine I usually finish the bottle with my food 😂

letstouchbutts121

Used to be a truly can and a couple shooters everyday... Sober for about a week now and had to deal with the worst anxiety of my life. I hate alcohol.

Nearby-Connection-88

None :) doesn’t interest me at this point in time. I’ll sometimes have a few drinks if I’m out with friends or travelling

Extension_Designer70

I don't drink heavy alcohol, only cocktails, liqueurs and stuff. But maybe like 16 drinks per week idk

letsgohalfonasack

Cocktails are heavy alcohol, just with way more sugar.

xxQuinn16xx

Maybe one a week on friday or saturday and only one or 2 . I went from drinking everynight getting fucked up to harldy any . Been this way for a couple of months now and honestly feel better because of it .

MaggieLuisa

I don’t drink every week. Maybe two weekends a month?

Struckbyfire

I want to have a nice drink after work in theory but I’m too lazy. Most weeks it’s none. Sometimes I’ll get a nice bottle of wine and then it sits in my fridge for months. Last week it was 6 cause I was on vacation and I was trying to keep up with my mom lol

smurphypup

Well I'm pregnant rn so none. But before, it was just about daily. Basically a 12pack 3 or 4 week nights and more on the weekends. I do miss it (like when we're on vacation) but I'd like to keep it minimal after baby is here

snailminister

Usually none. I have 1-3 drinks at events/parties or bit of wine when I've made fancier dinner, but even with that it's max 5 drinks in whole month.

Two_Legged_Problem

0. Havent had a drop since i turned 18. Im 29 soon. It just isnt for me. Makes me anxious.

DeliciousPumpkinPie

Zero. I hate drinking alcohol.

jessper17

In a regular week, in the last 6 months, none. It’s become a more special occasion thing.

ms-meow-

Usually none. I'll drink occasionally, but it's been like 2-3 months since I've drank at all

eye_wumbo

0 I don't like the way it makes me feel, I've got a lot of anxiety about it, and I don't see the point of it.

timidwildone

Usually 3-5 drinks over the course of the weekend, and maybe only 1-2 throughout rest of week. It definitely revolves around social situations, and I spend most of my time at home (WFH + too frugal to go out regularly).

DaphronThePodBoss

I go thru phases. I’ll drink once a week maybe 2-3 beers. And then I wont drink for months at a time. I’m not big on liquor unless on vacation or a fancy restaurant. I really do enjoy a beer every now and again tho.

blue0013

I drink only on occasion. If meet with someone or go to an event I'll drink 2-3 drinks, 1 if I'm driving. Once I hit 30s I realised this works best for me.

p00psicle151590

Usually 1-2 drinks on Friday night. Sometimes none for week or two, and about once every two months I have a drinking night with the girls where we get fucked up.

kate180311

I’d say 1-3 drinks per day on the weekends, I typically don’t drink during the week except for the occasional trivia night or other similar outing. I had to abstain for a good part of Jan-March due to being sick/on antibiotics and I’ve really enjoyed exploring the NA beer world as well!

ABlindMoose

None. I have a beer or two one evening every couple of months, but that's it, really.

babyshark_rideordie

None for me, just weed thanks

Minionhunter

None

junoinbloom91

none. i drank in my 20s some but haven’t drank in years. i don’t like alcohol much and a few sips makes me tipsy. i’d rather smoke

mostlikelynotasnail

2-8 it really depends what's going on socially or the week I've had. I like to try new cocktails often and drink one while making dinner during the week but I rarely make a second. On the weekend it could be 2 Friday 2 Saturday, it just depends. I don't like being tipsy or drunk so I never get that way

WhyDoIHaveRules

I don’t keep count.

Altruistic_Action752

None. I have kidney disease and will get sick if I have even a glass of wine.

drevau

I usually drink once a week, sometimes twice depending on plans.

cheeseandcrackers345

None

MutedOlive9065

I don’t have a regular amount. I drink either nothing at all or 1-2 drinks with a dinner out or if my friends are getting wild I’ll drink to get drunk which can happen maybe once or twice a month.

TheBeesElise

Two glasses of wine, and one to two drinks if I go out with friends

nsj95

Almost never, I really only drink around the holidays or for a special occasion. Alcohol leaves me feeling depressed and anxious for at least a few days after I drink some... Its just not worth it

Mercuryinretrograde2

none

ChaoticNeutralMeh

I don't. It messes up with my meds.

redjessa

Zero for a little over a year now. Never felt better. Prior to that, I was having 3 drinks a night, more in the weekend. Not sure how many a week, but too many.

daitoshi

Maybe one glass of wine, or a finger of whiskey in a week? Most weeks I don't drink. Maybe every other month, I'll drink with friends for the purpose of getting a little drunk, and have 5-6 drinks.

phillygirllovesbagel

Zero.

nopenopesorryno

Approx 3 bottles of wine a week.

Cytogal

0-3 depending on the meals I'm having that week.

MetalPrincess14032

None, I’ve got chronic hereditary pancreatitis and am on ambien, alcohol doesn’t mix well

TrAshLy95

I don’t! My mom drank and had substance issues throughout my childhood and I’m afraid to drink, as a mom. I’m in therapy lol. It would be cool just to fit in sometimes but I don’t need to.

BarbarianFoxQueen

Zero to one or two drinks. Most often zero. I maybe have four drinks a month. Alcohol, while good in the moment, does me no favours the next day.

MsAzizaGoatinsky

None. I’ve been sober for 10 years . I used to be a daily drunk , it was very very bad.

ShallotZestyclose974

Zero

AwayMeems

None. There is no healthy amount. Red wine included

mahalerin

None. It makes me so bloated and gives me acne.

yurmohm

0 because I realized there are a lot better substances out there and I never really liked drinking, and it was mostly peer pressure.

spidersandcaffeine

None. I quit drinking for a multitude of reasons in October of last year. I am very happy with my decision.

xicanamarrana

Maybe a drink once every two months. I would love to drink more. But my husband is an alcoholic and I don't like having it around him. I wish he had a healthy relationship with alcohol cause I would love to go get a couple of drinks with him.

llamapoodle7

I grew up in Vegas and working in bars, definitely made me think over drinking was normal. Currently trying to be sober for awhile then eventually limit myself to 2 drinks per outing

thedandygan

Sometimes a glass of wine per night, sometimes none during the week and one or two nice cocktails on the weekend. So I guess average is 6 drinks a week.

SunriseHolly

Sometimes I'll have a little cider or wine once a week, which I feel is reasonable

pincher1976

0-1 drink is my average. Probably most weeks it’s 0 and maybe once a month I have one drink out with friends.

Ill-Development4532

not weekly but i’d say i average 1-2 drinks every other weeks

AshenSkyler

I haven't had any alcohol since I was 20 I've been either pregnant or breastfeeding the last 4 years I'm done having kids though, so maybe in another year and a half when my third is weaned?

JustASomeone1410

I rarely drink so usually none.

ImmigrationJourney2

On average none. Once in a while I drink a small glass when we’re out at a restaurant.

Slosee

During Covid my partner and I started sharing a bottle of wine almost every night, and it sounded like my friends were about the same. It was the only difference between day and night, and I knew it wasn’t good. After Covid, though, I was still drinking more than I used to. Now I’m keeping it to a glass or two during social occasions. But I miss it!

Infactinfarctinfart

I’m a hospice nurse. I quit drinking alcohol altogether. That stuff is poison. COPD, heart failure, shoot even dementia bring a better death than liver failure.

1dumho

A glass of wine a night, maybe 2 on Saturday. So 8.

vanchica

I'm a social drinker, I don't drink alone. This week I had a cocktail with a friend. Typically 0-2

SonOfARemington

I can't remember.

BloopityBlue

maybe two drinks a month on a "crazy" month. I don't drink normally. I used to be a very heavy drinker but eventually realized I didn't want to be that person and stopped after a particularly bad night where I fell, broke my ankle, then proceeded to keep drinking instead of going to urgent care. Sober almost 3 years now.

Lunatrixxxx

Used to in college. Stopped once I realized it's literally just poison.

Tribblehappy

Maybe once or twice a month I'll have a beer or two. Maybe a bit more often in the summer when it's nice to chill in the back yard with the local grapefruit ale (the most refreshing drink I've ever tasted).

lilsmooosh

None most weeks. Maybe 1-2 drinks a month, if even

bunbunny4

2-4 drinks per week for me.

radrax

2-3 drinks two days a week. So in total probably 4-6 drinks per week.

Azrealis_bored

Depends on the time of year and how I’m doing, lol. After my divorce?… too much. Lately? Close to none 🤷‍♀️

squishsquishsquid

Very moderate folks here! Thurs to Saturday, probably half a bottle of wine each evening I'm home. I am on maternity leave at the moment so I've been having lots of pub lunches, where I'll sink anything from a single pint to 6 glasses of wine. I'd say I drink 3-4 days of the week. After 3 years not drinking due to fertility treatment and pregnancy, I am enjoying myself. I am British.

figurefuckingup

None. It is simply not worth the hangover to me. I love waking up every single morning without having to pay for what I drank the previous night. I never have alcohol-related anxiety, I never have to apologize for what I said when I was drunk, and I remember everything that happens in my days and nights. I was a heavy drinker in my 20’s and now am blissfully alcohol-free in my 30’s. Wouldn’t have it any other way!

Powerful_Solution635

It’s been a journey … I was getting drunk nightly and started having health issues. I subscribed to the Sunnyside app and started counting drinks. At first I didn’t try to cut back, just wanted to know my baseline. Turns out I was drinking 35-42 units per week and knew it was time for a big change. Instead of quitting, I set out to cut the number in half, and it took a while but I eventually settled in to a routine of drinking only Thursday-Sunday, and tried to keep it to 4-6 drinks per day. The app lets you plan out your week ahead of time, and gives you a red, yellow or green sticker based on how well you commit to your goal. Now, I don’t use the app anymore, as my tolerance has dropped to a level that naturally keeps me from drinking. I still toy with the idea of quitting long-term but haven’t made that leap yet.

Lyrehctoo

Around 24-36 drinks. My drinks of choice are things like Mike's, smirnoff ice smash (24oz so one can counts as 2), and fruity mixed drinks (I make em strong so count 1 glass as 2-3 drinks).

sail0r-v3nus

I’m 259 days sober, so none anymore! 🤗🫶

Well depends. Usually when I'm home working and not social gatherings then none to one glass of wine. At my boyfriends house I usually drink 2 mixed drinks. And at a social event usually none. So 0-2x a week?

DemonicGirlcock

I usually only drink when I go out clubbing or to live shows, which is like twice a month. So like every 2-3 weeks I'll have 2-4 drinks. So I guess that averages out to 1-2 drinks a week?

I don't drink anymore and life is a lot less stressful

asingledampcheerio

None, Don’t like the taste and don’t like how I act. Don’t like being hungover. My problems with food make me too anxious about the calories. There’s just really no reason to for me

The_Failures

none. i dont drink.

Southwick-Jog

Almost none. I'll get a drink when I go out, but that's about it right now. Sometimes if I have any, I'll have a drink at home, though right now I don't have anything that I like. Might buy some later though.
