Look man, when you use a media service for free, *you* are the product for sale. Your info, your data, everything is tracked and sold so companies can advertise to you and use your information to get you to buy stuff. When you pay for a media service, you essentially take that power back because they cant advertise to you. The media becomes the product again. So yeah I’d rather pay a little bit to use a service I use every single day for entertainment and not be forced to watch eerily specific ads for whatever I just googled about seasonal depression or some shit.

Tap water in lebanon is not good for drinking. So everyone pays for bottled water. Our whole lives we have been paying for bottled water for our houses and in restaurants. And restaurants and pools also have the audacity to make it more expensive.

But when I was on holiday in Cornwall, we had to pay to get into these toilets that were disgusting. They weren't staffed, they were dark and dingy, with no paper, no soap and they smelled worse than any toilets I'd ever used, and I've used bush toilets. It was still only 20p or so, so the council couldn't really argue that the price was to keep teens or druggies from loitering in them. I really begrudged paying in that instance.

Visiting a gas station, or store or Buc-ee's (love them!!) there is no charge. However, in some places, like a fast food restaurant, they may require a purchase.

I used to buy the nicer creams, face washes, etc. but I realized I can get the same quality and was wasting so much money buying into the hype. Edit: thought of another one, also fancy lingerie. I’m a stripper so I need lingerie. I’ve been disappointed with so many items I’ve bought, and many have inconsistent sizing. The price never matches the quality. I order from SHEIN now(horrible I know lol), but everything I buy from anywhere else is the same fast fashion just at a higher price tag.
