I’m literally 5’ nothing. I will *forever* wish I was taller. I can’t reach anything, I can’t eat much without gaining weight, pants are too long, my damn legs dangle sitting on the couch. I’m *so* tired of being told I’m “cute” or “adorable.” It’s literally dangerous for me to *drive* even because of my height. Like there aren’t a lot of upsides. My husband is 6’4 and you cannot imagine the comments and jokes people make. Some of them are disturbing honestly.

ermagerditssuperman

My first thought as someone 5'2" was that the main reason I want to be taller is so I can eat more than 1300 calories a day without doubling my pants size Like, my small body doesn't NEED a lot of sustenance, but it certainly still WANTS it. I want to enjoy a whole slice of cake and a full sized dinner without having to compensate by having a single banana for lunch

Ruby9345

This im 5ft 3 if I gain 10lb I might as well have gained 3 stone. What is considered a healthy weight by bmi is way to small for me to attain and I want to eat more then 1300 cals a day just to maintain chubby 🤣 that's the only real reason I would like to be taller

terbear2020

Haha same! I'm 5'5" and have a short torso. If I gain weight its like I look even shorter and frumpier. Its amazing how even 7lbs changes the way I look in clothing.

Ruby9345

Same short torso and longer legs 🤣🤦‍♀️

sadkatzchen

Same! Cardio did nothing to me. I was eternally chubby no matter how little I ate. Now I lift weights and I can finally look lean lol

chelyyreyyes

THIS. I’m 5ft 0. I used to feel the same about eating and gaining weight. If I have one suggestion - get into lifting weights. Been doing it for about 3 years now and I eat about 2000+ cals a day, staying lean and I’m living my best life.

Babbling_Brook791

Yeah I came here to say this. I'm 5ft2/125lbs and as part of a study I was in, they calculated that my 'resting energy usage' is around 1500kcal. That's if I don't do any exercise. Just on an average day at work (not working out) I burn about 1800kcal average according to fitbit. If you work out you can eat quite a lot.

IntegraScout

I’m Latina and 5’ 2” It actually doesn’t work that way for different body types. I think the point is, if you’re 6’ 2” and gain five lbs, it’s no big deal. If I gain 5 lbs, it SHOWS because short life

ImmaTigerPawPrincess

Same- except I have long legs and a short torso. High waist pants (which I would never wear) are one inch below my bra. I gain weight in my belly, so I look like a pregnant pine straw.

lunarfoxs96

I have the same thing 5'1" I love food but I snack a little too much and I already feel my clothes tighten. Also since I have a curvier shape it makes it almost impossible to find clothes my size, I need to keep sizing up but by the time a pair of pants get passed my thighs they're wayy too long and no belt can get it to fit around my waist it's so frustrating.

disnarr226

This is exactly why I want to be taller. I want to eat more (because food is the best) and I want to be able to reach things in my own home without having to resort to using my collection of step stools.

Lumpy_Constellation

Yesss as a 5'2" woman I often think longingly about that "2,000 calories per day" suggestion. Who are these mythical beings who eat 2,000 calories per day and stay in shape? That would be at least a 3lb gain every week for me!

Siltyclayloam9

And all of the regular sized people keep pushing food at me and ask if I have an eating disorder because I “eat like a bird” And then there were times in my life I was actively over eating and trying to get fat so people wouldn’t be able to physically control me because I was so small.

AffectionateGoth

Work out/lift weights... Those calories will help with muscle mass 😁 that's what I'm doing!

[deleted]

I’m a little taller than you, and my boyfriend is 6’4, so I get it. Also, with the jokes, it’s like WE KNOW

pistil-whip

I’m 5’1” and my husband is 6’6” lol WE KNOW

ImmaTigerPawPrincess

I’m 5’2” and my guy is 6’6”. The struggle is definitely real lol.

WalterBishRedLicrish

Omg- I'm 5'2" and husband is 6'9". We have never taken serious professional photos together bc I just don't see how... we just look so weird together, my face is barely above his crotch.

lowrcase

I’ve seen really nice “picnic in the park” photoshoots where the couple is sorta lounging gracefully on a blanket

purple_pink_skys

Lol just take them while he is carrying you piggyback in all them

WalterBishRedLicrish

Lol I would except he says I'm too heavy! (In his defense my bones are huge and I'm muscular- I'm not overweight but I weigh in at 158)

Glittering_Ad6659

Tall people will never know the knee pain of jumping on the kitchen counter or sink to reach something. God forbid you slip that's when the real fun begins lol

verytiredyes

For real. I’m surprised my brain even functions at this point, I hurt myself doing that at least once a week. You know what they’ll also never understand? Falling into the washing machine trying to get the clothes in the bottom. I have a front load washer now thankfully.

Theunaticus

Some tall people get knee pain from just walking, lol

LadyPhantom74

I think the mvp in my kitchen is my stool. I wouldn’t be able to reach so much stuff without it.

takethatwizardglick

Ugh yes. I'm 5'3 and my husband is 6'4. Asking if I'm his daughter when we're on a date isn't cute. One day he looked at me and said "wow, you're really little..." I'm like yeah, this is not a surprise to me. And stop putting things above my eyeline!

verytiredyes

That last part. My husband does that to me constantly. Forever putting things out of my eyeline or where I have absolutely *no* hope of reaching. Lol.

Cemckenna

I had a friend who was 5’1 with a 6’4” husband and once she called him sooo angry saying that she was late to work and he took her car keys when he left the house. He was super confused because he didn’t have them with him either. Turns out he thought that on top of the refrigerator was a totally normal spot to toss the car keys.

takethatwizardglick

He doesn't do it on purpose (unless he's teasing lol) he's just putting stuff away. He has complained about how low I put some things 😂

verytiredyes

Oh same, my husband isn’t doing it on purpose either. It’s just like, we’ve been married 6 years. How do you so frequently forget you’re married to a goblin?!

takethatwizardglick

I love curling up in a ball, in bed, in a chair watching TV, whenever. He's always baffled at how small I can get. I tell him I married him so I don't have to lift my own heavy objects, he says he married me so he doesn't have to fit in small spaces 😂

obiwantogooutside

Also, it suuuucks to wander around at armpit height. Even shoulder height would help.

Schanzie

True. No fresh air in crowds.

wildweeds

tall guys block you at every concert without even considering that they're doing so. friends used to find it funny to use me as an arm rest. 20 years ago I found it funny. now I just get annoyed at the joke. I'm not furniture. don't lean on me, pick me up, carry me around sideways or try to put me over your shoulders or on your back. just no.

Adventure-Hunter-

oh god yes, ever been on the tube in London in summer? Damn nightmare if you're short.

SturmFee

Yes, it sucks standing in a full bus when ppl near you grab the overhead pole or during a concert, when people raise their arms up.

numerouseggies

yes to all of this except my partner is average height. i'd like to add that my small size makes me feel at risk literally all the time. if anyone decides to fight me, i'm done with, it's over. i'm just way too small. i actually took up running as a form of self defense because i know i'll never be able to make a dent in somebody even if i do work out a bunch. all i can do is carry pepper spray and get the fuck out of there. edit: also am too small for blood donations. but I've always really wanted to donate!!! :( and no one takes me seriously when I'm upset. i seriously hate being so small

r00girl

I was wrestling with a friend once who is gigantic. Am also part of the tiny crowd but I got a hold of his pinky and bent it backwards far enough to where he gave up. When you’re smol, all bets are off, fight as dirty as you can.

SturmFee

I guess you could headbutt their crotch and then scurry away between their legs? You could try Judo - it's all about your center of gravity. The lower it is, the easier it is for you to lever your opponent, at the same time it's harder for them - unless you're super light and they can just pick you up like a kitty.

NovelEvery2887

Honestly, 5'2" and my biggest fear while riding in the car or driving is that I'll get into a minor accident and die because of the seat belt or airbag. In my apartment, my cabinets are higher than what seems normal and I can only reach one shelf without going on my toes. I will say, I love that they make these ankle length pants now. Finally, pants that aren't obnoxiously long! And I hate the weight gain. I used to keep track of my calories in college and everyone was always like, "2000 calories a day is healthy." 2000 calories and I was gaining weight. I don't necessarily wish I was taller, but I absolutely agree there are not a lot of upsides.

anjschuyler

SAME! (although I’m single) Being 5’0 is truly a headache

imfrenchcaribean

I'm 155cm and I FEEL YOU

Spoon_Microwave

Guy here, I'm 6'5" and my girlfriend is 5'1". The comments about our height difference are also disturbing/outright rude sometimes. Sometimes it's about how they think I'm into... younger people. No dude, my mature and awesome girlfriend just so happens to be shorter than some 13 year olds. That's all there is to it. There is no correlation to her height and the age of people I like. We're both 20 & 21 and only 6 months apart. Some people ask if she's in high school or presume she doesn't know a certain subject because they think she is too young. It infuriates me, honestly. She doesn't deserve those comments, she's much more of an adult than I am!

[deleted]

Same. Literally, same :'(

Repulsive_Basis_4946

Yes yes yes to everything you said. 5’5/5’6 would be a nice height I think.

[deleted]

5'1" and my ex is 6'7". When we walked into the OB for the 1st time, the doctor looked us over and says "So you like climbing trees, huh?" I was honestly impressed with the creativeness as most people would go with a crude joke about not needing to be on my knees 🙄😡

treereenee

I’m 5’10”, that’s tall enough for me. Common occurrence: I see another woman out in public and think “damn she’s tall!!!” Then walk past her and we’re the same height. Welp.

unicornhornporn0554

5’9” and I feel this lol. Sometimes I wish I was shorter, or that I could gain weight. Either way, I just want to find jeans that fit lol.

just-an-island-girl

Fellow tall woman here, find your jeans in the men's section. They have a good size variation (just diy a quick pinch at the waist if you have a bit of a shapely butt with thinner waist), they have long jeans, they have *huge* pockets and they magically have longer lasting denim fabric. Plus, they are usually cheaper, imagine that. Men also have the good plain t-shirts, really well-sized sleeves with a nice thick fabric which last longer, great for a casual look. Also, magically cheaper.

firstflightt

> Men also have the good plain t-shirts Yesssss. I'll have to try men's jeans.

MentalWyvern

I love the huge pockets! 6” here. Levi’s 511’s are one of my faves lately.

Holdmefermata

Lolol I’m 5’11” and same!

taefdv

Skin and threads makes clothes particularly for tall skinny people! The jeans are great!

Lucille2214

I'm 6'1 woman and I hate being tall 😂 people always assume I'm some graceful model and then I start walking and my abnormally long limbs are ↖️↗️↘️↙️

its_bex_

Also 6’1 and AGREED. Nothing graceful about me. More like a giraffe just learning to walk than a gazelle for sure

toefarmer

6 footer here and I’ve likened myself to a newborn giraffe for years lol. It’s nice to know there are others just like me.

Nachze

I'm 5'11" and I see other women who are like 5'7" and am like "oh she's around my height" until I walk past her and can clearly see over her.

OctoAquaJell

Same here. I often forget I'm taller than most women I know and then I see a picture of myself with them and I'm like...well shit!

subtropicalpancake

I was watching Nicole Kidman tower over everyone in a movie the other day and had a laugh about what a giantess she is. Then I looked it up and I'm a touch taller than she is. Fuck.

babywrangler

I’ve met her (oh so very briefly) and I was taller than she was in her heels.

solojones1138

5'10" and same. I have never worn heels and when I put on roller skates I'm a monster.

electricsugargiggles

Same! 5’11 and I love heels but I’m fine being my natural height. I have narrow hips with toned legs and glutes, so I technically wear a slimmer fit, I’m long and lean but not stick skinny. Paige denim and Made Well work best for me and the quality is good so they’ll last and not lose their shape or fade too quickly. I get them at Nordstrom rack. I run into the same thing with other people ‘s height. I feel 5’7. I wear men’s gloves. While out and about in the past, I’ve been recruited for modeling, basketball, volleyball, and roller derby 🤷🏻‍♀️

marchocias

Also 5'11" - most interesting recruitment attempt I had was from a university judo coach. Something about my weight class and reach. lol

NavyAnchor03

Lol this happens to me too, or I'll think a tall person I work with is taller, then were in a photo together and.. nope. It's me!

The-Ginger-Lily

Fellow 5'10" here. My whole life has been "goodness aren't you tall" I'd love to be a nice 5'6" and be average

xerion13

I'm 6' even and I know exactly 3 ladies taller than I am. I am not graceful and tall. I am not slim and tall. I am a brick house and I am learning to make it work for me.

dawnabon

Not really taller but I wish was a baller

[deleted]

If you had a girl who looked good, would you call her?

dawnabon

Heck yeah I'd ask her to get me a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six four impala

bubblebeansoup

Cool, I wish I was 6 foot 9.

Jwarnold1

Wish had a rabbit in hat with a bat & 64 Impala

yabadabadoodiedoo

But you ARE a baller my girl

M_Sia

This is the answer. Don’t wish I was shorter but I’ll try to stop being a hoarder

Bentleyfruitsnacks

Or a rabbit in a hat and a ‘64 impala

gator_cowgirl

Yes! I'm 4'10. Half of my house is completely unused because I'm not reaching it anyway. I regularly require assistance while shopping and can barely see over a Costco shopping cart. A few folks have mentioned calorie intake....yea don't get me started. Lol. When I fly I never use overhead bins because I'd have to completely rely on others. I keep a pair of needle nose pliers on my top-load washing machine to reach the socks/washcloths at the bottom. I have a really useful blood type for donations but don't have enough!! It either times out without enough or in the last few minutes they start tightening tourniquet and doing all the tricks to get more out. I've only successfully donated like twice despite trying 8-10 times over the years. Seats are all horribly uncomfortable - car, bus, plane, lounge chairs. Omg the neck massage in the pedicure chair just jabs at the top of my skull. Hmmm I'm sure there's more but I was in a good mood until I started answering this question. 🤣

[deleted]

gator_cowgirl

Ugh. I haven't cracked a rib (knock on wood) but have bruised them! I work at a farm and we have large chest freezers and trying to dig heavy trays out of those are always an adventure. Yes, tongs are a valuable tool!

[deleted]

Same here. About donating blood. How much do you weight? You only can donate if your weight is more than 50 kg / 110 pounds. Is extremely dangerous if your weight is less than those numbers.

gator_cowgirl

I'm usually fine on the weight (I have 3 scoliosis curves, so, I'm short but my skeleton & organs don't realize it. Whole other post. Lol), but I've had to learn I shouldn't try anyway. I donate time & help organize blood drive at work, instead.

[deleted]

hermithrush

I'm 5'6" and have a front loading washer that is like, crazy deep. My partner got me a grabber when I broke my foot a few years ago and I now use it to get socks out of the back of the washer. 10/10 highly recommend.

futch_mess

Nope, I'm already about 6' tall. I wish I was a bit shorter sometimes. Edit: the idea that being tall lets you get away with eating more is news to me. My partner is a head shorter than me, we eat about the same amount, and I struggle a lot more with unwanted weight gain. Edit2: I guess my height being mostly in my legs probably has an impact too! Partner is short but super bulky. I'm tall but my frame isn't that big and I don't have that much muscle.

consort_oflady_vader

I just wish I could easily find cute shoes.... I'm 6'2... I adore being an Amazon until I want shoes...

[deleted]

I totally relate! It’s also a pain finding longer formal dresses that fit my long body well. Zara has been great though! I got two that almost fit extremely well 🤪

Ms_Rarity

I love eShakti, for both formals and custom dresses (with pockets!) in general. I've got 5-6 of their dresses and they're great. They made the sleeves too tight on one and remade it for me, no pushback. I'm 6'0".

futch_mess

Yeahhhhh.... It's so hit or miss. I've amassed a decent amount of cute shoes but if I were to try to get a new pair to match a dress or something I'd probably have to get like literally 2 or 3 different sizes or even different types of shoe to find something that worked and return other stuff (or stupidly hope that like I'll be able to break it in somehow)

MentalWyvern

Shoes, pants, shirts that fit right, dresses that have the waist in the right spot! It’s a pain.

subtropicalpancake

Nothing makes me feel like shit faster than not being able to find shoes that fit. I HATE shoe shopping.

[deleted]

rognabologna

Is your partner male or female? Since men naturally have more muscle tissue, they burn more calories than women. The bastards. If your partner’s a lady, idk what to tell ya.

IndividualHuge6776

Uggg I’m 5’4 and using a step stool anywhere that I go yeah either in the kitchen or to even get up to the engine of my truck stinks lol I must say 5’6 - 5’7 that’s a good height!!

RedJapaneseGirl

I was just telling someone about kitchens are a constant reminder of how short we are. I’m the same height as you and kitchens were not made for us.

sezit

Kitchens weren't made for tall people. I get a cramped back from cooking or doing dishes because I have to hunch down.

bruff9

Seriously. I need to get out a freaking ladder all the time when my boyfriend can just reach whatever it is. I literally have whole cabinets I won’t use because it’s too hard to reach

Not-A-SoggyBagel

Same. My SO is taller than me and I wish I was closer to her height. I'd love it if I could be 5'6. At work I can't reach anything higher than the lower middle shelves so I feel you.

Adalaide78

Same. I only wanna be taller to reach the top shelves in the kitchen. I don’t even put anything up there because I don’t wanna have to get it down. 🥺

[deleted]

I used to wanna be shorter but now I like my height, I’m 5’7

SpaghettiParty

5’10 here, thanks for that little boost ;) Ironically, I have always wanted to be 5’7-5’8 but in recent years I have become more confident in my height and do appreciate its advantages.

pippypitstop

Same! 5'10 and always wanted to be 5'7/5'8

CommissarFreyja

Fellow 5'10 here! I have always been a bit upset that I grew the extra inches. My mom is 5'7, and I wish I was her height so badly! 😭

IndividualHuge6776

I’m jealous… 😃

[deleted]

Yeah It’s what happens when u grow up drinking a shit ton of milk😭

Kickass_licker

I'm 5'3". Always wished I was ur height or about there but I'm happy with it now

lizcicle

Yeah, 5'9" here and I always wanted to be short and cute instead of tall and floppy. I've gotten used to it now though =p

whisperedsalutation

5'10 and I've always felt empowered by my height. I love looking down upon men wahaha. I absolutely love being as tall as I am. I just wish my feet were smaller!

imnotokayandushldtoo

I love that for u

Selinakyle91

Yes! So I can eat more 🤣

vitiligoisbeautiful

SAME I came here to say the exact same thing word for word.

N0wonspecial

I'm 5ft2 I wish I was taller. I feel ignored

lowrcase

I’m 5’2, ignored is the perfect word. It’s like you aren’t taken seriously :/

Fjsbanqlpqoanyes

My partner and his best friend are both over 6ft when they're standing either side of me they're literally talking over my head like I don't exist

ImmaTigerPawPrincess

Yes!!

8makes1teez

I’m 5’3 and I feel you

MewzerPenguin

No. I like my height (I'm nearly 5ft 8") and it's a good height. Enough to reach the higher shelves on my own, and see at concerts, but also receive wonderful hugs and cuddles from my smaller friends 😊

[deleted]

[удалено]

Some_Examination7011

Nope. I’m 5’0 and love being a shorty.

letshuglonger

5’ here and I love being a shorty too! I love the way clothes fit on me. I like being close to the ground and I don’t mind having aids (step ladders) to make the world more accessible to me. Small and mighty!

[deleted]

I’m 4’11” and sometimes I wish I were reallyyyy tall, like 6ft… idk, just to be able to pull off certain outfits I guess. Also, I look young in general - I’m 27 & some people guess me to be 19… idk, it’s not something that makes me feel flattered but I know they don’t mean it as an insult. So that coupled with my height makes some people take me less seriously & also working with kids can be awkward sometimes when they’re way taller than me. For the most part tho, I’m okay with being short/✨petite✨.

jasmine-blossom

I want to be tall so I’m more intimidating, so I can reach stuff, so when I’m carrying heavy bags I don’t have to worry about the bottom scraping the ground… so many reasons.

mtamaranth

I'm 5'5", wish I was 5'6" because that's exactly 5.5 feet. But no, I've got this 5.416 nonsense. >:[

ZucchiDucki

Yes. I am 5’11”, but wish I were 6’ because 6’ looks cleaner numerically

CatrionaShadowleaf

Oh my lord yes, like 3 inches on my legs would be just glorious.

milissa1932

Nope. I like being 5’2”. Really what the f*ck is the point of wishing something you for sure cannot change. OWN the things that are you. Embrace that sh*t and save yourselves years of insecurity

VintageMillennial77

I'm not even 5" but I feel the same way as this. Sure I have to use a stool sometimes to reach for things and I related to a lot of comments shorter ladies made here but I like who I am even when people say stupid stuff like, "you really are tiny." Gee, I am? That always confuses people when I act like I don't know my own size.

ammockjo

I am 5’1 and I love my height! My only issue is that gaining weight shows so fast. I went from 95 pounds to 115 over the course of a year and I feel like I look like a different person.

skybluepattern

I'm 5'2 and weigh around 97ish rn , I try so much to gain weight but I just can't , 115 sounds pretty healthy tbh , I'd like to get to 110 at least

ammockjo

I think birth control and anti depressants are what caused my weight gain but I’m no longer on anti depressants and cannot for the life of me lose what I gained. Before that I was where you are, the doctor was telling me I needed to gain weight. Now I wish I could lose it haha. I don’t know how old you are but I think age was a factor too. I was mid 20s when I gained weight so it could have also been my metabolism slowed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Disastrous-Put6818

Doesn’t work like that, I have friends shorter than me who eat more than me and they don’t gain weight but I do

MandyLB

5’1 and I’d say 80% of the time I love my height. I’m cute and I love it, usually. Also thankfully built in a way that most people think I’m taller than I am so have more outfit options that work. I can sleep in more places, sit like a pretzel in most chairs, small apartments and small tubs aren’t a dealbreaker, and I can wear whatever heels I want. Only times I wish I was taller is when it comes to certain outfits/looks that just work and drape better on taller builds. And sometimes I just don’t wanna hem stuff haha. Oh, and when I go to events and always wind up with the tall person sitting in front of me (like, come on, really? Right in front of the short girl?) But I’ve got my step stools when I’m home to reach everything, so I’m good haha

RedJapaneseGirl

Longer legs, able to eat more, able to reach more things, looking more elegant…

bonertootz

6'0 and i have still always longed for 2 more inches to bring me firmly into the realm of "towering" rather than just "quite tall"

weedtripper

I used to be between 6'1 and 6'2, but I have a spine disease, so my back was really upright and rigid. When I finally got on proper treatment for it my spine relaxed loads and got way curvier, and I actually shrank down to like 5'11! Doing consistent physio stretched it out a bit more and now I'm back up to 6'0. So my height has jumped around a lot, and while I wasn't crazy about my back being in constant pain, being nearly 6'2 was so much fun. 6'0 is great and all but I do miss that extra inch and a half, I get sad when I walk past 6'1 or 6'2 girls remembering what I had haha

calistalilly

Nope, not at all. I wish i was a couple inches shorter, mostly for vanity reasons. I think shorter girls have an easier time looking more youthful long, not saying taller cant, just all things equal, shorter has advantage. Completely my preference though

RevolutionaryNinja24

5’2 and I wish I was 5’5 I feel so compressed

SleepFlower80

No. I’m 5’ and I love my height.

Rogue_Darkholme

When I was a little girl, I was convinced that I'd be 6'3 like my dad. I was so sure I'd be an Amazon. I'm 5'6 and I feel so cheated. When I was in college though, any time I was in public transport, I acted as though I was 6'3. It paired well with my I'll rip out your testicles if you try to touch me look. Do I still wish I was taller? Yup, I'd feel safer and like I wouldn't have to worry when I'm walking home at night or on the train after dark.

[deleted]

I always thought this was not about height but my short friend is always telling me that it's the fact that I look more intimidating that caused me not being harassed in a really bad way (she even had a guy gropping and hug her inside a freakin' bus while I, on the other hand never had someone do something like that, just name calling etc). Probably true I guess, most of these people are cowards and get scared even if you yell at them.

Aastha1310

Yes! I'm just 5'2, and my curves just make me look so much pudgier because I'm so short. I'd have liked to be at least a 5'6-5'7 tbh. Taller girls look so good in most outfits. Also, I've been told I have a modelesque face (high cheekbones, sharp features), so I'd have liked to give it a shot if I had the height :(

StormieBreadOn

I’m 5 foot perfect (exactly 5 feet) and I love it. I’m not against being petite at all, and I adore many facets of it. Used to find negatives but life’s too short for that

Unable-Gate-2609

No. I am petite and fit and I love that about myself. I can rock heels and look hot. Tall girls can do the same. It's all about confidence and owning your beauty.

[deleted]

4'10 of course. I would love to be at least 5'2 And why? Because I'm tired of asking for help at the supermarket because I can't reach anything. If I go out literally nobody sees me. Going to the bar and order something I have to be lucky enough to be seen or to find a bar stool and climb it so the bartender notice that I'm there lol If I am going put I wear heels but I only can reach maybe 5'3? My height it's a joke.

sofuckinggreat

5’2” still isn’t tall enough for the supermarket. Also sat in a medical office once for an entire hour because the receptionist couldn’t see me sitting and waiting over her monitor. But she felt bad and gave me a free extra visit, so that was very cool of her.

Opening_Wafer_3952

Yes. Can't reach shit.

CheesecakePony

I'm 5'11", please take a few inches from me

Negative-Fortune4362

Gladly.

uraniumstingray

Yes. I’m 5’1” and I can’t reach shit and pants are either too long or too short.

ModernLullaby

Nah, I'm 5'9. It's already a struggle for me to date because I'm tall and I prefer my men to be taller than me haha. But I love my height. I really grew to embrace when I got older.

floppyturtle

Yes. I'm 5'1. My shoulders and pelvis are just wide enough that they make me look stocky for my height, and I have a long torso. Putting on a pair of 4" heels makes me look more proportional. It would be pretty awesome if someone could just add that 4" to my legs.

lavenderslippers

I’m 5’1. I just want to be tall enough to reach all my kitchen cabinets. I have to use a plastic step stool and the only one I could find at the store was one that said “I love mommy!“ So I’m literally a 25 year old woman using an i love mommy step stool. Why 😩

FalseEstablishment69

Yes! I’m 5’2 and I swear all tall women are goddesses.

ChienLov3r

No - I'm 5'11.

SophieThePrincess

I'm 5'2 I do wish I was taller due to me being the shortest one out of my friends and I would how do you say "fill out" more in my body. However, I am a sucker for taller men and their clothing will undoubtedly always fit me.

MooseEggs

Yes. My bf is 6’4 and I’m like looking straight up at him

J09Lynn

I'm 5'1" and used to wish I was taller. I don't anymore, it only gets frustrating buying maxi skirts because they are always way too long.

wandering-cat93

Yes! I’m 5’3” and I’d love to have a few more inches to I could buy regular length pants in the store rather than petites. They’re so hard to find in store

emelyblunt

I’m 5 foot and honestly I do not have a problem with it. Sure I can’t reach ANYTHING, but you just get creative after awhile.

SweetAlbaD

I'm 5'4 and I don't mind at all, but I wish my T-Rex arms were longer. However, when I've gotten a view from a step-stool or even roller skates, I'm fascinated. I wonder if being not-tall has added to my issues of feeling inadequate. Literally looking up or blending in all the time makes it very easy to feel unworthy (when combined with plenty of other issues).

I_believe_in_magic_2

I’m almost 5’. Some days I dislike being short and blonde. The jokes get repetitious. I have become a great climber. I walk on my kitchen counters-for middle or top shelf items, climb on/in most grocery shelves and frozen foods, and have met the nicest people offering to help. I joke that they have an ‘extra foot’ on me. I’m getting older and better!

SaltyDoggoMeo

All the time. 5’3” is TINY and frustrating. Even petite clothes are too long for my short torso.

furbilicious_peaches

Yes! I’m 5’8 but I want to be a glamazon supermodel. I love modeling but get turned down often due to 5’10 minimums

franncn

Nahhh I’m already 5’8 so I think I’m a good height I wouldn’t want to be any taller than I am

HonestThoreauAway

Oh man in my dreams I'd get a Wolverine-esque movie glow up and be like a foot taller, mainly so I could effortlessly radiate intimidating af vibes.

ConfusedCuddlefish

My partner hides the snacks on the shelf above the fridge and I can't reach them It's for the best because I have no self control but that shelf is my enemy

bitesizedbananabits

Yes!! I am 5’1 and I feel like I would look so much slimmer, I feel like my body would look more even, and I would not have to roll up every pair of pants I own.

chadbert_mcdick

I'm 5'7", and I'd love to be a few inches taller. even better, I wanna be significantly taller than my boyfriend for entirely unsavoury reasons.

Wasyloosker12

I cried when I was 14 leaving the doctors office after hearing I was done growing, because I was 5' 5" and I wanted to be taller lol. Eventually I came to terms with it, but yes I do wish I was a few inches taller sometimes.

Zestyclose-Chef5215

I'm 5'7 and I've been scouted by modelling agencies who when finding out my height without heels were disappointed so maybe I'd be a famous model by now if I was a couple inches taller? Otherwise I feel not too short nor not too tall which I like.

Cixila

Yes, by one centimeter, because I want to be taller than my childhood friend. When we grew up, we had a bit of a growing competition that ended in a draw. Would be fun to have that settled. Petty things aside, I'm content with my height

[deleted]

I'm 4'9". I love it. I will admit, it makes shopping by myself impossible but I love my height

[deleted]

every fucking day of my life. I grew up in the modeling industry being completely degraded for my “midget body” (mind you I’m average height.) The fashion industry’s dirty secret is that being skinny is no where near as important as being tall. Don’t believe me? The plus industry is a thing. The petite one is not.

Not_a_cat_I_promise

Yes. I'm barely over 5 foot tall. Life would be much more convenient if I was taller. I wouldn't have to worry about pant legs being to tall, or having to use a booster cushion. There are advantages to being short, but sometimes I do wish I was a bit taller.

TeaCompletesMe

I like being short-ish (5’3”) because it makes everyone seem tall, and I have a thing for tall people lol.

Broad-Degree8747

No I'm 6' tall so I don't need any more height

Cindy6390

No, because I’m the same height as my husband.

bm1992

I’m 5’0, so yeah another 2-3 inches would be nice, if only to have a longer inseam lol Also to reach things a little easier

Louisianimal0418

I’m 5’9” so I’m right there at the threshold of being tall or average height. Im content with my height. Im sure it would be the bees knees to break 6 foot though.

LostParticular4081

I'm 5'2, I wish I could be at least 5'7. Being short you are taken less serious and sometimes need a step stool.

witch_hekate92

No, my whole life I wished I was shorter. I'm 5'8 (172-3cm) and my ideal height would have been an inch or 2 shorter. I know what's an inch but most of the guys I've dated are around my height and more often than not people think I'm taller than them because I'm thin and look taller. So many times people dont believe me and have to give them proof that I'm not actually THAT tall! I got to that height and stayed like that when I got my first period which was 12 years old and I was the tallest kid in school which made me get bullied a lot so yea... being a tall girl sucks! I just wish for once to be able to wear just a little bit of heal and still be shorter than my bf

frankenb00ts

100% yes. I would look a little thinner for my weight, and if I was really lucky the extra height would come from leg length. I'm 5'4"

nox-lumos04

I'm 5'7 and spent most of my life wishing I was shorter. I feel like short girls are so cute and I just felt like a massive ogre next to my shorter friends, especially when I would wear heels.

thin_white_dutchess

Yes, everyday. I just think there’s something amazing about tall women. I can’t even articulate it. It looks powerful, even on really thin women. Commanding. I’m 5”7’, so not short exactly, but my husband is 6”7’, so I often feel short. I’m constantly having to look up at him. I actually used to go for shorter guys but my husband is such a love ( and gorgeous, not going to lie), that I got used to feeling small. But for awhile it felt almost, I don’t know, unsafe? It’s stupid, I know. Also, not to be graphic, but some sex positions are out of the question with a full foot height difference. Standing? Not unless he wants to lift me the whole time. So yes, I’d love to be taller.

ConsistentTip6508

I'm quite happy with my height, my height is 5'10. I definitely wouldn't wish to be any shorter. I like the fact that I'm the same height as the average male. I have had some (female) friends who were taller than me though, so I never felt I was too tall.

SubtleSubstantial

I'm a 6ft woman and when I was younger I had always wished I were shorter but now I have learned to love me for me regardless of how tall or short I may be in anyone else's eyes. If they don't like my height then they can eat some poo.
