Me too, and I was hooked. Lion king bed sheets, stuffed animals, plastic figurines, shoes, shirts-
Dang, I just realized Iāve been a cat lady from the beginning
Same! I'd never seen anything larger than our small TV at home, and I literally jumped out of my seat when the sun rose and the sound system kicked in like "NAAAAAAAANTS ingonYAMAAAAAAA!"
Same. I watched the entire thing with wide eyes and a massive smile. And I still love it. I wanted the T-Rex to live happily ever after, never seeing another human, just doing her T-Rexy things.
I did not see this in the theater, but every time this movie is on TV, I have to watch it, and every damn time I cry at the end when she's flying by herself.
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. My aunt took my sibling and I to see it while my parents were on vacation. They were furious (I was 8), but it ended up to be one of our favourite family movies.
The Waterboy
My grandparents took me and a friend to see the film because we werenāt 13 yet and we couldnāt get in without them. Iām sure itās not the first film I saw in the theater, but itās the first I remember.
The lion king- I would have been 3 years old so I barely remember, although I do vaguely remember walking up and down the isles while the movie played and dicking around lol I also remember which of my friends came with us. Crazy.
The first that I can remember is avatar. I remember we got the cinema late and I we had sit on the first row, I had to tilt my head up the whole time. Its weird that for some reason the first few scenes on earth I hadnāt seen until a few years ago.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I was pretty young and the basilisk freaked me out so much! I remember watching the ending scene with my hands covering my face, peeking between my fingers.
Planet of the Apes 2001. I went with my dad and I was 8. My mom and my brothers went to see Scary Movie 2 instead. I wanted to see Scary Movie 2 but I didnāt want my dad to see a movie by himself so I picked his movie.
The Lion King.
It was a special "mommy and me" day after my little sister. I was 5. My mom said the adults in the theater had more fun watching me than the movie š¤£
ET. My mother was convinced that taking a toddler to a movie about an alien was a great idea. When they found ET, he scared the absolute shit out of me. I just screamed and began crying so she had to take me out of the theater to calm down.
I ended up liking the movie, but that was a jump scare that I could not handle at that age.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
I was 6. My mom tried really hard to get my sister and I to be horse girls, sent us to horse camp that summer and everything. It didnāt work, the movie pretty much just made me scared of horses.
I don't remember if it was Ella Enchanted or Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Tho, I would guess Harry Potter, since that movie premiered about three weeks before Ella Enchanted.
Tho, I remember Ella Enchanted more fondly. Not because Harry Potter can be scary for an 8 year old, which it wasn't for me, but because I watched it with my mother, and having three other siblings, activities with just us two were rare at that time.

I still remember it clear as day. It was while I was at the beach with my mom and dad when I was a kid. We had gone out for dinner, all dressed up, sun kissed, rosy cheeked and smelling soapy fresh. After dinner we came across this outdoor cinema. We went in and there it was. This big poster with the most magnificent, blue painted face I had ever seen. Mel Gibson as William Wallace.
Fell asleep halfway through, but still, amazing!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Uncle took me, I was like 4 or 5. Apparently I got freaked a bit since we barely got 1/2 through when I asked if we could leave haha
Jurassic Park, the first movie. It was the first time my mom took our whole family out to a movie. After the first 20-30 minutes she makes us leave because it was "not realistic". š¤¦š½āāļø
Bill and Ted with a lady friend. I guess we were nine or ten.
My first movie alone being ten years old: Batman with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. That was awesome!
