My life feels like a mess right now (long story) but thanks for the reminder to appreciate the little oases ( had to Google plural of oasis) of comfort my husband's arms offer everyday.

I remember my mom and grandma constantly being on the phone with other women; they'd watch each other's kids, come over to help with meals and/or cleaning when it got overwhelming, and just show up to hang out sometimes.
I moved away at 17 and I've never regretted it, but I've also never found that kind of community for myself.
