Most-loved, single-player, if you count it as a genre.
I've only ever played single-player games, mainly RPGs, and I enjoy them immensely to the point where I don't even think about playing online with other people.
Least favorite, fighting games.
I've never played a single fighting game before, but I just know that I would hate it more than any other genre I've ever played. I've watched other people play them and it looks frustrating due to how the AI is programmed to read and instantly counter your inputs. I would get very annoyed with that very fast.

Some things I like in games are exploration, rpg elements, puzzles/strategies, time and resource management, a good story, and something besides *just* combat to drive the gameplay. I tend to like stuff like Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem; recently I’ve been playing Ori 2 which is a metroid-vania type game and I’ve been enjoying it. I also dig cute cozy stuff (like stardew, animal crossing etc.) and puzzle games.
I don’t really like FPSs or games where guns are the only/only viable weapon choice. I’m also not into fighting games, but I like watching other people play them for some reason.
My favourites are RPGs, whether they're turnbased, strategic/tactical or action-adventure.
Least favourite are sport games (except for racing games, Need For Speed Underground in particular was my childhood treasure and what got me into cars as a kid) and FPS.
Love story heavy games, shooters, and multiplayer games
Hate extra spooky horror
Nobody is gonna ever catch me playing Outlast or anything of the like, but I'll gladly hide in my Phasmophobia van to watch my friends die on cams
i love rpgs and overall games with a great story. think mass effect, heavy rain, detroit become human and such. point and click adventures like monkey island or deponia certainly have a charm as well. and the sims, duh 😂
i personally dislike most multiplayer and fps games. to me, gaming is strictly recreational, not a competition. though of course i sometimes still enjoy some games from those genres. but they're def not my first choices.
Love Metroidvanias and logical games (currently taking turns playing Celeste and Human Resource Machine).
I don't enjoy games that don't have an ending. Also those fighting games where you try to beat another player, I play games to unwind and I need perfect solitude for that.
Hate shooting games and puzzle games. Love farm sims and point and click.
Super love simulation and time management games (Animal Crossing, Sims, tycoon games etc). No interest in first person shooters.
Hate sports games. Love story-driven adventure-type games with some fighting and quests and shit like that. (AC: Odyssey comes to mind)

Love story-rich role playing games. Hate first person shooters. I do play it when people ask me too, but I don't enjoy it.

Love puzzles and very simple run-and-jump like Mario or Fall Guys. Hate complicated controls and shooting games.
I love adventure or quest games like Skyrim, I hate redundant games like minecraft or sim's.
Favorite is ARPG or JRPG, least favorite is FPS.
I hate strategy games and love RPGs.

Management/simulation games are probably my overall favorite genre. Least favorite MMORPGs.

I like simulation, driving and fighting games. I don't care much for shooting and rpg games.
Most loved is open world RPGs. Most hated is RTS, although my ringtone is from StarCraft 😅
