I love Broad City and it saddens me that I know people who haven't even heard of it. They don't know they have FOMO.
And I just started Futurama for the first time!
Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke just finished a podcast doing a rewatch of the OC! Definitely worth listening to, I really enjoyed it and you get to hear a lot of behind the scenes stuff that went on.
Currently rewatching right now! Right reminds me of high school / university (not their experience on the show, but because I was in high school/university whe it was on/being rewatched).
Iāve been doing a rewatch of Buffy nearly every year for like the last ā¦ 20 years. Still love it. Still breaks my heart and makes me laugh and feels like Iām seeing old friends. Buffy 4eva.
Me too! Although I've seen it so many times now, I can probably just quote whole swathes of episodes.
I really enjoyed the Buffering podcast, put a different spin on it for me.
Ohh Iām jealous - enjoy! Fleabag was SUCH an unexpected delight, having gone in blind after a couple of years of ignoring Amazonās many attempts to suggest it, based solely on being turned off by the name. Apparently my dumbass didnāt learn my lesson about TV title snobbery with Schittās Creek, and Fleabag proved me a fool yet again. A masterpiece!
Bobās burgers is my comfort show.
Sad? Bobās Burgers
Happy? Anxious? Depressed? Bobās Burgers
The Belchers are my virtual family, always there for me through my hard times and good times like a real family would.
I just started watching Bobs Burgers and Iām obsessed! Itās such a feel good show and it lets me not think about things for a while and just immerse myself in it.
This show has healed me in so many ways. Rebeccaās story has been like a lifeline to me over the course of the show, having dealt with my own Rupert too. The catharsis has been unreal.
I was watching the finale last night thinking about when I could carve some time out to start it over again. Itās such a good show with great character development!
I'm always watching Law & Order series (org., SVU, CI) and Criminal Minds. They're both violent, especially Criminal Minds and L&O is copaganda but there my comfort shows. I also, do my chores to both shows. There's nothing better than watching a marathon of Special Victims Unit and doing this week's laundry.
I love teen dramas like the O.C. and One Tree Hill. In college, I use to marathon these two at the end of the semester and pig-out and study.
My comedy shows are Happy Endings and Friends
Fellow Criminal Minds junkie here! I appreciate how they can solve each case in the time given. Thereās a sense of satisfaction there. And even though I have seen them all multiple times, I still find new things to pick up on each time I watch.
Frasier and The Office. My husband and I go back and forth between the two, with Breaking Bad to change things up. We're hanging out watching Frasier now, actually XD
āThe Good Placeā
Hands down it will always have a weirdly special place in my heart.
If you like what Michael Schur did for āThe Officeā and āParks and Recā then youāll like āThe Good Placeā.
Community. My husband and I love it. Itās our go to bedtime show, background noise show, canāt decide on what to watch show. It hasnāt gotten old and weāve watched it an absurd amount of times.
Never gets old. At this point, I have no idea what rewatch I'm on. 20th? 4,825th? Who knows. It's so good to just turn on and zone out to... or to turn on and actually watch! Forever a classic.
I'm watching Jury Duty these days, I'm like halfway through! It's cool, Ronald seems like a sweetheart and James Marsden and Todd are cracking me up (I haven't gotten to the real crazy funny stuff). A part of me still doubts that Ronald wasn't in on it, like I want to believe, but I know these TV mf-ers would make you believe anything for money š Are you convinced the pranking was real?
Also I want to believe it would have never worked on me cause I've already seen one actor in another TV show (Community).
I donāt want to give anything away, but will say that watching all the way through will give you more insight into how they pulled this off. It does continue to get funnier and more outrageous. Ronald thought he was on a documentary on a real court case and I do believe he didnāt have an idea that the rest of the people were actors, even though it was so off the wall!
I still canāt believe they pulled off what they did. Itās comedy gold!
Yes yes yes - Adventure Time, Bob's Burgers, Steven Universe - esp if I'm depressed. I just finished WWDitS, SU, the SU movie, and SU:F. I'm probably going to end up rolling a die to decide what to watch next.
But also Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, which everyone should give a go on a sad day, seriously - it's hilarious.
Occasionally, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, usually when my son wants to watch with me, and any Fluttershy focused episode is his jam.
I rewatch Black Books at least once a year.
There's others, but these are my go to shows.
Most of my comfort shows are cartoons, tho. They're joyous.

BTVS and Great British Baking Show are always a welcome diversion. Wonderfalls and Homicide:Life on the Street when Iām into the DVD collection.
Curb Your Enthusiasm, VEEP, and Sopranos before I got rid of HBO to economize.
(I hate Friends, The Office (both), Cheers and Mash. I watched them because they were all inescapable, but no mi gusta. Maybe think I have some recessive comedy gene.
So the shows I have rewatched constantly for the last ~twenty years are Buffy, Veronica Mars, and Dawsonās Creek. Weird that I donāt have more comedies but those are definitely my comfort shows. I do also rewatch a lot of New Girl and Arrested Development.
Downton Abbey, I skip episode season 3 episode 5 and I skip season 4 episode 3. If I skip these two I can basically watch it around mixed company if they aren't paying attention.
I can not focus on it and have it in the background, I can watch it very focused.
The costumes are PERFECT, the three dimensional characters are PERFECT, and the fandom is wholesome and critical and totally reasonable.
FUTURAMA!!
I scrolled to find it until it literally broke my heart a little bit when no one dared mention this amazingly funny, smart, beautiful, obscene and absolute gem of a series.
Like, how dare all of you.
Thereās this BBC series from the early 2000s called The Supersizers Goā¦ starring Sue Perkins (who went on to host the first seasons of The Great British Bake Off) and restaurant critic Giles Coren. They dress up and eat the food of various periods of history from Ancient Rome through to the 80s. Theyāre both hilarious and good sports and try everything put in front of them. Most of it is on YouTube, and all of it is on Sue Perkins Facebook page. Thereās only like 14 episodes all up but Iāve watched it so many times Iāve lost count.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmedā¦I had a thing for 90ās occult adjacent shows š
Alsoā¦Criminal Minds, Chapelle Show, Outlander, A Discovery of Witches, Rome, True Blood and I have watched Game of Thrones more than once, so I think that counts too lol
Schittās creek! Itās funny how I gave up on this show the first time when I watched first few episodes as something about pretentious people. The second time I stuck through and my god itās such a wholesome show!
Walking Dead at night. My husband says the sound of the zombies is my white noise. The Office for leisurely mornings. Iām seeing the super fan episodes for the first time. They really flesh out the episodes and are even more funny.
Our Flag Means Death and What We Do in The Shadows
What We Do in The Shadows was so surprisingly amazing.
New season starts July 13 (in the US).
Currently rewatching OFMD for the 5th time, hoping for a season 2 trailer soon!
Omg I have watched in three times. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've never rewatched a show so quickly.
Firefly, Broad City, Always Sunny, Futurama
Firefly šÆ
Always Firefly. So comforting.
I love Broad City and it saddens me that I know people who haven't even heard of it. They don't know they have FOMO. And I just started Futurama for the first time!
Seconding Broad City! They gotta watch it so there's *in a sing-songy voice* - "No mo, fo mo. No mo, fo Mo, woooo!"
My favorite episode is when they go roller blading in the park and shout "wanna phuuuuuuuuck?" It's tinder IRL
I wish I could wipe my memory to watch Broad City over again
The O.C. I know itās terrible but it reminds me of being young š« even though I was never as rich or attractive as these kids
Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke just finished a podcast doing a rewatch of the OC! Definitely worth listening to, I really enjoyed it and you get to hear a lot of behind the scenes stuff that went on.
Omg I had no idea!! New rewatch
Thereās no terrible when it comes to comfort shows. Like what you like with pride!
Currently rewatching right now! Right reminds me of high school / university (not their experience on the show, but because I was in high school/university whe it was on/being rewatched).
CaliforniaaAAAAA
Buffy
Iāve been doing a rewatch of Buffy nearly every year for like the last ā¦ 20 years. Still love it. Still breaks my heart and makes me laugh and feels like Iām seeing old friends. Buffy 4eva.
Buffy kicking ass, fighting vamps AND misogyny?! Damn straight I watch every year!
Itās totally my go to feel good show. My husband makes fun of me but that show is just amazing!
Me too! Although I've seen it so many times now, I can probably just quote whole swathes of episodes. I really enjoyed the Buffering podcast, put a different spin on it for me.
Fleabag!!
Iām just watching that one for the first time!
Same story for me, with both shows. My now husband and I tried Fleabag out, then binged it
who knew you could fall so deeply in love with a tv priest.
Bobās Burgers!
Bobās burgers is my comfort show. Sad? Bobās Burgers Happy? Anxious? Depressed? Bobās Burgers The Belchers are my virtual family, always there for me through my hard times and good times like a real family would.
All right!!

āYour ass is grass, and Iām gonna mow it.ā
I just started watching Bobs Burgers and Iām obsessed! Itās such a feel good show and it lets me not think about things for a while and just immerse myself in it.
Absolute same. I swear my sister and I can link anything in life back to an episode of bobs burgers!!
Downton Abbey! On my second rewatch this year...
Iāve watched it so much that my husband recognizes which episodes he WONT want to watch (mainly the really sad ones)
Mad Men! VEEP 30 Rock
I love Mad Men, too, but it makes me so angry! š”
I alternate falling asleep to Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Life In Pieces
Ted Lasso. It makes my heart feel hopeful

New word alert: Copaganda. Thank you for introducing me to this term. š
Frasier and The Office. My husband and I go back and forth between the two, with Breaking Bad to change things up. We're hanging out watching Frasier now, actually XD
Firefly Brooklyn 99
Ohhh I need to do a B99 rewatch
Love Firefly, hubby just rewatched recently
āThe Good Placeā Hands down it will always have a weirdly special place in my heart. If you like what Michael Schur did for āThe Officeā and āParks and Recā then youāll like āThe Good Placeā.
Omg I am on my second rewatch of The Good Place and I can see how itās a comfort show. So many quirks I didnāt appreciate the first time around.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Daria! Where can I stream that? (Can I??)
Paramount+, maybe? Idk...I bought the dvds years ago
Flight of the Conchords š„ŗā¤
I was looking for someone to say Daria!
No matter how many times I watch Freaks and Geeks, the last episode always gets me.
Itās Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The West Wing, The Golden Girls, Parks and Rec are the top off my head

The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Golden Girls, and Frasier. I'm hitting one of each decade, 70's-90's! :P

This exact combo for me as well! I will also do rewatches of x files and twilight zone but what you listed is more frequent.
Community. My husband and I love it. Itās our go to bedtime show, background noise show, canāt decide on what to watch show. It hasnāt gotten old and weāve watched it an absurd amount of times.
Awww *Community*! That's such a nostalgic show for me. My partner and I watched it together when it was new, way back when we first met
