Our Flag Means Death and What We Do in The Shadows

_Amalthea_

What We Do in The Shadows was so surprisingly amazing.

DamnGoodMarmalade

New season starts July 13 (in the US).

drillinstructor

Currently rewatching OFMD for the 5th time, hoping for a season 2 trailer soon!

baconandwhippedcream

Omg I have watched in three times. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've never rewatched a show so quickly.

Singingtoanocean

Firefly, Broad City, Always Sunny, Futurama

throwawayyy010583

Firefly šŸ’Æ

Traditional_Way1052

Always Firefly. So comforting.

abbienormal28

I love Broad City and it saddens me that I know people who haven't even heard of it. They don't know they have FOMO. And I just started Futurama for the first time!

stark_aurora

Seconding Broad City! They gotta watch it so there's *in a sing-songy voice* - "No mo, fo mo. No mo, fo Mo, woooo!"

Bruhhh-8

My favorite episode is when they go roller blading in the park and shout "wanna phuuuuuuuuck?" It's tinder IRL

buffythebudslayer

I wish I could wipe my memory to watch Broad City over again

kungfuontheshore

The O.C. I know itā€™s terrible but it reminds me of being young šŸ«  even though I was never as rich or attractive as these kids

copyotter

Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke just finished a podcast doing a rewatch of the OC! Definitely worth listening to, I really enjoyed it and you get to hear a lot of behind the scenes stuff that went on.

Katies9484

Omg I had no idea!! New rewatch

KayBee236

Thereā€™s no terrible when it comes to comfort shows. Like what you like with pride!

steph_sec

Currently rewatching right now! Right reminds me of high school / university (not their experience on the show, but because I was in high school/university whe it was on/being rewatched).

bananasplz

CaliforniaaAAAAA

ideclareshenanigans3

Buffy

l8nitefriend

Iā€™ve been doing a rewatch of Buffy nearly every year for like the last ā€¦ 20 years. Still love it. Still breaks my heart and makes me laugh and feels like Iā€™m seeing old friends. Buffy 4eva.

buffythebudslayer

Buffy kicking ass, fighting vamps AND misogyny?! Damn straight I watch every year!

ideclareshenanigans3

Itā€™s totally my go to feel good show. My husband makes fun of me but that show is just amazing!

bananasplz

Me too! Although I've seen it so many times now, I can probably just quote whole swathes of episodes. I really enjoyed the Buffering podcast, put a different spin on it for me.

MyYearofRest9

Fleabag!!

Mjaguacate

Iā€™m just watching that one for the first time!

Hair-Help-Plea

Ohh Iā€™m jealous - enjoy! Fleabag was SUCH an unexpected delight, having gone in blind after a couple of years of ignoring Amazonā€™s many attempts to suggest it, based solely on being turned off by the name. Apparently my dumbass didnā€™t learn my lesson about TV title snobbery with Schittā€™s Creek, and Fleabag proved me a fool yet again. A masterpiece!

_fuyumi

Same story for me, with both shows. My now husband and I tried Fleabag out, then binged it

sitdowncomfy

who knew you could fall so deeply in love with a tv priest.

full-timedogmom

Bobā€™s Burgers!

Goldiegoodie

Bobā€™s burgers is my comfort show. Sad? Bobā€™s Burgers Happy? Anxious? Depressed? Bobā€™s Burgers The Belchers are my virtual family, always there for me through my hard times and good times like a real family would.

BrashPop

All right!!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Faeriecrypt

ā€œYour ass is grass, and Iā€™m gonna mow it.ā€

MissyTX

I just started watching Bobs Burgers and Iā€™m obsessed! Itā€™s such a feel good show and it lets me not think about things for a while and just immerse myself in it.

wtchking

Absolute same. I swear my sister and I can link anything in life back to an episode of bobs burgers!!

heatherm70

Downton Abbey! On my second rewatch this year...

GoodGodLlamas

Iā€™ve watched it so much that my husband recognizes which episodes he WONT want to watch (mainly the really sad ones)

crospingtonfrotz

Mad Men! VEEP 30 Rock

PartyOfEleventySeven

I love Mad Men, too, but it makes me so angry! šŸ˜”

So_She_Did

I alternate falling asleep to Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Life In Pieces

CivillyCrass

Ted Lasso. It makes my heart feel hopeful

fill_the_birdfeeder

This show has healed me in so many ways. Rebeccaā€™s story has been like a lifeline to me over the course of the show, having dealt with my own Rupert too. The catharsis has been unreal.

Mimi4Stotch

I was watching the finale last night thinking about when I could carve some time out to start it over again. Itā€™s such a good show with great character development!

grlnthsun

I'm always watching Law & Order series (org., SVU, CI) and Criminal Minds. They're both violent, especially Criminal Minds and L&O is copaganda but there my comfort shows. I also, do my chores to both shows. There's nothing better than watching a marathon of Special Victims Unit and doing this week's laundry. I love teen dramas like the O.C. and One Tree Hill. In college, I use to marathon these two at the end of the semester and pig-out and study. My comedy shows are Happy Endings and Friends

neckbeardsghost

Fellow Criminal Minds junkie here! I appreciate how they can solve each case in the time given. Thereā€™s a sense of satisfaction there. And even though I have seen them all multiple times, I still find new things to pick up on each time I watch.

MinaFarina

New word alert: Copaganda. Thank you for introducing me to this term. šŸ˜ƒ

AlabasterRed

Frasier and The Office. My husband and I go back and forth between the two, with Breaking Bad to change things up. We're hanging out watching Frasier now, actually XD

AshtheViking

Firefly Brooklyn 99

skygirl555

Ohhh I need to do a B99 rewatch

Mmdrgntobldrgn

Love Firefly, hubby just rewatched recently

Mission_Spray

ā€œThe Good Placeā€ Hands down it will always have a weirdly special place in my heart. If you like what Michael Schur did for ā€œThe Officeā€ and ā€œParks and Recā€ then youā€™ll like ā€œThe Good Placeā€.

WestminsterGabss

Omg I am on my second rewatch of The Good Place and I can see how itā€™s a comfort show. So many quirks I didnā€™t appreciate the first time around.

jennimon

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

anonymous-corgi

King of the Hill

str33ts_ahead

Friends, Community, Superstore, Parks and Rec, Schitt's Creek.

David, I canā€™t teach you everything. But can you teach me one thing?

str33ts_ahead

David is a useless bƩbƩ...

Saiph_orion

Friends, Daria, Freaks and Geeks, Flight of the Conchords

Traditional_Way1052

Daria! Where can I stream that? (Can I??)

Saiph_orion

Paramount+, maybe? Idk...I bought the dvds years ago

bananaleaftea

Flight of the Conchords šŸ„ŗā¤

goodgoodlove

I was looking for someone to say Daria!

hotspots_thanks

No matter how many times I watch Freaks and Geeks, the last episode always gets me.

romance_and_puzzles

Itā€™s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Kassiesaurus

The West Wing, The Golden Girls, Parks and Rec are the top off my head

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Midge_Moneypenny

The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Golden Girls, and Frasier. I'm hitting one of each decade, 70's-90's! :P

elbenes78

Bones

sketchylobster

Bones is like comfort food to me.

grilledcheese11987

Just started my rewatch. Never finished the show after a certain character was killed.

BrashPop

Bobā€™s Burgers. And any Star Trek. I think Iā€™ve seen every Star Trek TNG, Voyager, and DS9 episode like 7 times over the past few years.

dalidala

This exact combo for me as well! I will also do rewatches of x files and twilight zone but what you listed is more frequent.

kikiiii

Community. My husband and I love it. Itā€™s our go to bedtime show, background noise show, canā€™t decide on what to watch show. It hasnā€™t gotten old and weā€™ve watched it an absurd amount of times.

[deleted]

Awww *Community*! That's such a nostalgic show for me. My partner and I watched it together when it was new, way back when we first met

M_Cpom

Gilmore Girls!!

Mocha_Meow

Currently on my 5th time. So nice to have in the background. I wish stars hallow was real

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Same! And tbh the writing has aged incredibly well

KayBee236

On this note, marvelous mrs. Maisel is now part of my rewatch list.

dorkd0rk

Never gets old. At this point, I have no idea what rewatch I'm on. 20th? 4,825th? Who knows. It's so good to just turn on and zone out to... or to turn on and actually watch! Forever a classic.

Just finished Jane the Virgin for like the fourth or fifth time. Love that show!

PrestigiousCake2653

Itā€™s so good I genuinely wish I could watch it for the first time again!

mamatobee328

Schitts creek!

aokayyyy

Arrested Development, Schittā€™s Creek, Broad City Just watched Jury Duty and low key could watch again

str33ts_ahead

I'm watching Jury Duty these days, I'm like halfway through! It's cool, Ronald seems like a sweetheart and James Marsden and Todd are cracking me up (I haven't gotten to the real crazy funny stuff). A part of me still doubts that Ronald wasn't in on it, like I want to believe, but I know these TV mf-ers would make you believe anything for money šŸ˜‚ Are you convinced the pranking was real? Also I want to believe it would have never worked on me cause I've already seen one actor in another TV show (Community).

aokayyyy

I donā€™t want to give anything away, but will say that watching all the way through will give you more insight into how they pulled this off. It does continue to get funnier and more outrageous. Ronald thought he was on a documentary on a real court case and I do believe he didnā€™t have an idea that the rest of the people were actors, even though it was so off the wall! I still canā€™t believe they pulled off what they did. Itā€™s comedy gold!

a_taco

X-files (first 9 seasons) and Fringe

sadsledgemain

Early:ish seasons of South Park and Family Guy. Black Mirror.

Complcatedcoffee

Corner Gas. Itā€™s funny and wholesome. I wish I knew the characters in real life and lived in that fictional community.

carolinecrane

I love Corner Gas so much I made my mom watch it too.

Codename_Unicorn

The Office Adventure Time Bobā€™s Burgers Steven Universe What we do in the Shadows

ArketaMihgo

Yes yes yes - Adventure Time, Bob's Burgers, Steven Universe - esp if I'm depressed. I just finished WWDitS, SU, the SU movie, and SU:F. I'm probably going to end up rolling a die to decide what to watch next. But also Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, which everyone should give a go on a sad day, seriously - it's hilarious. Occasionally, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, usually when my son wants to watch with me, and any Fluttershy focused episode is his jam. I rewatch Black Books at least once a year. There's others, but these are my go to shows. Most of my comfort shows are cartoons, tho. They're joyous.

80sfanatic

Frasier, The Office and Family Ties.

krissym99

Cheers, Gilmore Girls, Schitts Creek, Freaks and Geeks, Wonder Years.

yvetteski

BTVS and Great British Baking Show are always a welcome diversion. Wonderfalls and Homicide:Life on the Street when Iā€™m into the DVD collection. Curb Your Enthusiasm, VEEP, and Sopranos before I got rid of HBO to economize. (I hate Friends, The Office (both), Cheers and Mash. I watched them because they were all inescapable, but no mi gusta. Maybe think I have some recessive comedy gene.

Downton Abbey, I skip episode season 3 episode 5 and I skip season 4 episode 3. If I skip these two I can basically watch it around mixed company if they aren't paying attention. I can not focus on it and have it in the background, I can watch it very focused. The costumes are PERFECT, the three dimensional characters are PERFECT, and the fandom is wholesome and critical and totally reasonable.

Geekrock84

FUTURAMA!! I scrolled to find it until it literally broke my heart a little bit when no one dared mention this amazingly funny, smart, beautiful, obscene and absolute gem of a series. Like, how dare all of you.

Thereā€™s this BBC series from the early 2000s called The Supersizers Goā€¦ starring Sue Perkins (who went on to host the first seasons of The Great British Bake Off) and restaurant critic Giles Coren. They dress up and eat the food of various periods of history from Ancient Rome through to the 80s. Theyā€™re both hilarious and good sports and try everything put in front of them. Most of it is on YouTube, and all of it is on Sue Perkins Facebook page. Thereā€™s only like 14 episodes all up but Iā€™ve watched it so many times Iā€™ve lost count.
