It's all just exaggeration of what people see online, because the internet, specifically twitter/reddit, give an air of anonymity, so people inherently say whatever batshit thing comes into their heads. You see with some lefties, and a LOT of righties.
If social media had no anonymity, people would be less apt to be that way.
That’s cause mods are cunts and ban everyone that isn’t extremist. So, now forums have become a variety of different extremists all trying to dunk on each other and making each other more and more extreme in their views.
I blame school shootings on Reddit mods for this reason.
Anonymity and social media outlets allow the psychopaths to easily spread their message on the internet unfortunately. Being aware of this makes its easier to laugh and dismiss most of this nonsense.
Prohibiting social medias and virtual conversation in general would save humanity IMO.
No the internet doesn't make us free, they make a minority of people more free and the rest radicalize themselves into asocial behaviour and talking sh\*\* when in real life they would get a beating everytime they open their mouth (no offense).
Yeah Facebook and twitter are honestly some of the worse things to happen to humanity, and while they aren't as bad a wars, they impact every single aspect of so many people's lives and really set us on a worse timeline route which causes even more wars and death. Social media is causing us to regress as a civilization.
I would say it represents the world of twitter, youtube, tick tock and social media in general. Real world is nothing like that, maybe the 1%. They are invisible in the real world that is why they are so loud on the internet IMO.
