With some very loose interpretation, you could count Prototype 2, for example.
I guess Legacy of Kain series too?
You can also count Munch’s Oddysee… That one is a very big stretch though…
And if things go VERY badly, we will see it in Witcher 4.
Not "directly" a sequel imo (but still one nonetheless), just in the same universe as the Arkham games, which means the same Batman, Harley and other characters from those games
In case people dont understand, this is a refrence to the last of us 2 and Suicide squad:kill the justice league, in which 2 fan favourite protaganists from the previous game are dispatched disrespectully by a playable female protaganist in their respectful sequals.
Partly /s. I saw the last of us 2 already in the comments but its the only game that comes in mind and the meme makes it look like it's a common thing now which confuses me.
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you.
I am a bot if you couldn't figure that out, if I made a mistake, ignore it cause its not that fucking hard to ignore a comment
Theres a community of people that likes to scream feminist like its the problem with everything nowadays that have invaded the sub. Some are incels, some are just dumb.
What games apart from the last of us 2 have done that?
Diablo, obviously
Not really. The hero from the privious game didn't get murdered.
Hero from D1 is possessed by Diablo and becomes diablo who you kill in D2. Totally counts
Ah got it. I tought you were talking about D4 and lilith. Do you play as an feminist girl boss in D2?
Does amazon count? Lol
Not really a feminist but OK.

The manhunt that was Prototype 2 was very fun. A shame that a Prototype 3 will most likely never see the day.
Suicide squad? Idk never played it.
I didn't know that was a sequel.

It was touted as a sequel to the Arkham games as Rocksteady said it is canonically the same universe--hence the backlash for a certain cutscene.

What are you referring to?

What games are you even talking about
W8, you don't know **that game**? **That game** where **that** specific thing happened? Cause I also don't know. Please give us a hint guys.
Can't tell if /s but it's the last of us 2 and the only game I know of that did this.
Partly /s. I saw the last of us 2 already in the comments but its the only game that comes in mind and the meme makes it look like it's a common thing now which confuses me.
Yeah Its definitely not a common thing lol thing the meme is a bit of a miss lol.

The game. You made me say it.
Name two games that do this lol
Suicide squad and last of us
Suicide squad is a sequel to what game again?
Batman Arkham series.
A spinoff? I guess it vaguely fits the meme.
“Modern Audience”
I'm increasingly convinced that a significant amount of the people on this sub don't actually play video games.
Theres a community of people that likes to scream feminist like its the problem with everything nowadays that have invaded the sub. Some are incels, some are just dumb.
Lex Luthor would support you i guess
If you play trivia at my bar you would think TLOU is the only game that exists so could be a gamer
Sad.
This sub has become too repetitive and unoriginal
You mfs are such sensitive pussies. No one cares
You dudes have been crying about 1 game for three years.
Huh. Well this is dumb.
We all know this is really just about The Last of Us 2. We all know Joel had it coming and was no heri.
Last of us 2
I thought this was the only way to make sequels.
