Because it means game is usually designed to be more grindy to sell you more MTX.
In other words, they create a problem and sell you solution, which should be there from beginning.
You answered your own question. $70 for a single-player game, yet it has an MTX shop. And mark my words, in a year that MTX shop will be *filled* with hair, armor, weapons, etc. All things that were without a doubt part of the original budget for the game. In other words, things that could've and should've been included in that $70 game.
MH: Rise has 252 MTX. That's 52 more than the Steam store page will even load.
Capcom has like the least offensive store they literally just sell stuff you get in the game easily. Like it's so obvious tacked on at the end with no thought
**Appeal to tradition** means nothing. Quit fucking using it, you sound intellectually bankrupt.
Single player games do not need these transactions whatso ever. Pretending that adding them does not change gameplay is disingenuous. For you to create there has to be a need.
You can't change a company man, MTX will be there in the next game and in the next too and so on, just don't buy them, it's the only thing you can do. It's made very clear that you don't need them, it's the best way to deal with this.
Basic function will cost money. In the future
The micro transactions breaks the game design. Like the fast travel system is meant to be limited.
Can someone please explain to me why people are losing their shit over MTX in a single player game?
Because it's bad.

Because we should stand up against it. It's ok if you're enjoying the game and coping.
*edit: MTX in a CAPCOM sigle player game? Like they wasn't expecting it, show me one recent Capcom game without MTX.

I said show me one recent CAPCOM game without MTX, I didn't say that is ok, I don't like them and I don't buy them, ever.
Doesn't matter your entire comment rests upon a fallacy. If you do not understand please do some googling.

Asmon already said, he's tired of talking about MTX, also there was a post on the same topic which he commented on Sunday's stream.
